1 A lcé después mis ojos y tuve una visión. Vi a un hombre que tenía en su mano un cordel de medir.

¶ I lifted up my eyes again and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

2 Y le dije: —¿A dónde vas? Él me respondió: —A medir a Jerusalén, para ver cuánta es su anchura y cuánta su longitud.

Then I said, Where goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length.

3 M ientras se iba aquel ángel que hablaba conmigo, otro ángel le salió al encuentro

And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him

4 y le dijo: «Corre, háblale a este joven y dile: »“A causa de la multitud de hombres y de ganado que habitará en medio de ella, Jerusalén no tendrá muros.

and said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited without walls for the multitude of men and beasts in the midst of her:

5 Y o seré para ella, dice Jehová, un muro de fuego a su alrededor, y en medio de ella mostraré mi gloria.”

For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about and will be the glory in the midst of her.

6 » ¡Eh, eh!, huid de la tierra del norte, dice Jehová, pues por los cuatro vientos de los cielos os esparcí, dice Jehová.

¶ Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD, for I have spread you abroad by the four winds of the heavens, saith the LORD.

7 ¡ Eh, Sión, tú que moras con la hija de Babilonia, escápate!»

O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon, thou must escape.

8 A sí ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: «Tras la gloria me enviará él a las naciones que os despojaron, porque el que os toca, toca a la niña de mi ojo.

For thus hath the LORD of the hosts said; After the glory he shall send me unto the Gentiles which spoiled you, for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye.

9 Y o alzo mi mano sobre ellos, y serán saqueados por sus propios siervos». Así sabréis que Jehová de los ejércitos me envió.

For, behold, I raise my hand regarding them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants; and ye shall know that the LORD of the hosts has sent me.

10 « Canta y alégrate, hija de Sión, porque yo vengo a habitar en medio de ti, ha dicho Jehová.

¶ Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for, behold, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, said the LORD.

11 M uchas naciones se unirán a Jehová en aquel día, y me serán por pueblo, y habitaré en medio de ti», y entonces conocerás que Jehová de los ejércitos me ha enviado a ti.

And many Gentiles shall join themselves unto the LORD in that day and shall be my people, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and then thou shalt know that the LORD of the hosts has sent me unto thee.

12 J ehová poseerá a Judá, su heredad en la tierra santa, y escogerá aún a Jerusalén.

And the LORD shall possess Judah his portion in the holy land and shall still choose Jerusalem.

13 ¡ Que calle todo el mundo delante de Jehová, porque él se ha levantado de su santa morada!

Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD, for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
