1 É sta es la bendición con la cual Moisés, varón de Dios, bendijo a los hijos de Israel, antes de morir.

¶ And this is the blessing, with which Moses the man of God blessed the sons of Israel before his death.

2 É l dijo: «Jehová vino de Sinaí, de Seir los alumbró, resplandeció desde el monte de Parán, avanzó entre diez millares de santos, con la ley de fuego a su mano derecha.

And he said, The LORD came from Sinai and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from Mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of holiness, at his right hand the law of fire for them.

3 A ún amó a su pueblo; todos los consagrados a él estaban en su mano. Por tanto, ellos siguieron tus pasos, recibiendo dirección de ti,

Yea, he loved the peoples; all his saints are in thy hand; they also united at thy feet; they received thy words.

4 c uando Moisés nos ordenó la Ley, como heredad de la congregación de Jacob.

Moses commanded us law as inheritance unto the congregation of Jacob.

5 Y hubo un rey en Jesurún cuando se congregaron los jefes del pueblo con las tribus de Israel.

And he was king in Jeshurun when the heads of the people, the tribes of Israel, were gathered together as one.

6 » Viva Rubén, y no muera ni sean pocos sus hombres.»

¶ Let Reuben live and not die, and let not his men be few.

7 E sta bendición profirió para Judá. Dijo así: «Oye, Jehová, la voz de Judá, y llévalo a su pueblo; sus manos le basten, y tú seas su ayuda contra sus enemigos.»

And this blessing is for Judah, and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people; let his hands be sufficient for him, and be thou a help to him from his enemies.

8 P ara Leví dijo: «Tu Tumim y tu Urim sean para el varón piadoso a quien probaste en Masah, con quien contendiste en las aguas de Meriba,

¶ And to Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah,

9 q uien dijo de su padre y de su madre: “Nunca los he visto”; quien no reconoció a sus hermanos, ni a sus hijos conoció. Pues ellos guardaron tus palabras y cumplieron tu pacto.

who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen them; neither did he acknowledge his brethren nor know his own children; therefore, they shall keep thy word and guard thy covenant.

10 E llos enseñarán tus juicios a Jacob y tu Ley a Israel. Pondrán el incienso delante de ti y el holocausto sobre tu altar.

They shall teach Jacob thy judgments and Israel thy law; they shall put incense before thy nostrils and a perfect sacrifice upon thine altar.

11 B endice, Jehová, lo que hagan y recibe con agrado la obra de sus manos. Hiere los lomos de sus enemigos y de quienes lo aborrezcan, para que nunca se levanten.»

Bless, O LORD, his ministry, and take pleasure in the work of his hands; smite through the loins of those that rise up against him and of those that hate him that they may never rise again.

12 P ara Benjamín dijo: «El amado de Jehová habitará confiado cerca de él; lo cubrirá siempre, y entre sus hombros morará.»

¶ And to Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.

13 P ara José dijo: «Bendita de Jehová sea tu tierra, con lo mejor de los cielos, con el rocío y con el abismo que está abajo.

And to Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD is his land, for the gifts of the heavens, for the dew, and for the deep that is stretched out beneath,

14 C on los más escogidos frutos del sol, con el rico producto de la luna,

and for the gifts of the fruits of the sun and for the gifts of the influence of the moon,

15 c on el fruto más fino de los montes antiguos, con la abundancia de los collados eternos,

and for the summit of the ancient mountains and for the gifts of the everlasting hills,

16 c on las mejores dádivas de la tierra y su plenitud y la gracia del que habitó en la zarza, venga sobre la cabeza de José y sobre la frente de aquel que es príncipe entre sus hermanos.

and for the gifts of the earth and fullness thereof, and may the grace of him that dwelt in the bush come upon the head of Joseph and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.

17 C omo el primogénito de su toro es su gloria; sus cuernos, como cuernos de búfalo. Con ellos corneará a todos los pueblos hasta los confines de la tierra. ellos son los diez millares de Efraín, y ellos son los millares de Manasés.»

His beauty is like the firstborn of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns; with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth; these are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and these are the thousands of Manasseh.

18 P ara Zabulón dijo: «¡Alégrate, Zabulón, cuando salgas; y tú, Isacar, en tus tiendas!

¶ And to Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and thou, Issachar, in thy tents.

19 L lamarán a los pueblos a su monte; allí ofrecerán sacrificios de justicia, por lo cual gozarán de la abundancia de los mares y de los tesoros escondidos de la arena.»

They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; therefore they shall suck the abundance of the seas and hidden treasures of the sand.

20 P ara Gad dijo: «¡Bendito el que hizo ensanchar a Gad! Como león reposa, y arrebata brazo y testa.

And to Gad he said, Blessed is he that caused Gad to be enlarged; he shall dwell as a lion and shall tear the arm with the crown of the head.

21 E scoge lo mejor de la tierra para sí, porque allí le fue reservada la porción del legislador. Vino en la delantera del pueblo; con Israel ejecutó los mandatos y los justos decretos de Jehová.»

And he saw the best for himself because there the portion of the lawgiver was enclosed; and he came at the head of the people; he shall execute the righteousness of the LORD and his judgments with Israel.

22 P ara Dan dijo: «Dan es cachorro de león que salta desde Basán.»

¶ And to Dan he said, Dan is a lion’s whelp; he shall leap from Bashan.

23 P ara Neftalí dijo: «Neftalí, saciado de favores, lleno de la bendición de Jehová, posee el occidente y el sur.»

And to Naphtali he said, Naphtali, filled with grace and full of the blessing of the LORD, shall inherit the west and the Negev.

24 P ara Aser dijo: «¡Bendito entre los hijos sea Aser! Sea el amado de sus hermanos y moje en aceite su pie.

And to Asher he said, Asher, more blessed than the sons, shall be acceptable unto his brethren and shall dip his foot in oil.

25 H ierro y bronce serán tus cerrojos, y como tus días serán tus fuerzas.

Thy locks shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.

26 » No hay como el Dios de Jesurún, quien cabalga sobre los cielos para tu ayuda, y sobre las nubes con su grandeza.

¶ There is no other like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rides upon the heavens for thy help, in the clouds with his excellency.

27 E l eterno Dios es tu refugio y sus brazos eternos son tu apoyo. Él echó al enemigo delante de ti, y dijo: “¡Destruye!”

The habitation of God is eternal, and underneath the everlasting arms; he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee and shall say, Destroy them.

28 I srael habitará confiado, la fuente de Jacob habitará sola en tierra de grano y de vino; hasta sus cielos destilarán rocío.

Then Israel, the fountain of Jacob, shall dwell in safety alone in a land of grain and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.

29 ¡ Bienaventurado tú, Israel! ¿Quién como tú, pueblo salvado por Jehová? Él es tu escudo protector, la espada de tu triunfo. Así que tus enemigos serán humillados, y tú pisotearás sus lugares altos.»

Blessed art thou, O Israel, who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help and the sword of thy excellency? Thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee, and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
