1 » En aquel tiempo se levantará Miguel, el gran príncipe que está de parte de los hijos de tu pueblo. »Será tiempo de angustia, cual nunca fue desde que hubo gente hasta entonces; pero en aquel tiempo será libertado tu pueblo, todos los que se hallen inscritos en el libro.

¶ And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who is for the sons of thy people, and it shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there were people until now, but in that time thy people shall escape, all those that are found written in the book.

2 M uchos de los que duermen en el polvo de la tierra serán despertados: unos para vida eterna, otros para vergüenza y confusión perpetua.

And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall be awakened, some for eternal life, and some for shame and everlasting confusion.

3 L os entendidos resplandecerán como el resplandor del firmamento; y los que enseñan la justicia a la multitud, como las estrellas, a perpetua eternidad.

And those that understand shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and those that teach righteousness to the multitude as the stars in perpetual eternity.

4 » “Pero tú, Daniel, cierra las palabras y sella el libro hasta el tiempo del fin. Muchos correrán de aquí para allá, y la ciencia aumentará.”

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end: many shall pass by, and knowledge shall be multiplied.

5 » Yo, Daniel, miré y vi a otros dos que estaban en pie, uno a este lado del río y el otro al otro lado.

¶ Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, another two who stood, one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.

6 Y dijo uno al varón vestido de lino que estaba sobre las aguas del río: “¿Cuándo será el fin de estas maravillas?”

And one said to the Man clothed in linens, who was upon the waters of the river, When shall be the end of these wonders?

7 O í al varón vestido de lino, que estaba sobre las aguas del río, el cual alzó su mano derecha y su mano izquierda al cielo y juró por el que vive por los siglos, que será por tiempo, tiempos y la mitad de un tiempo. Y cuando se acabe la dispersión del poder del pueblo santo, todas estas cosas se cumplirán.

And I heard the Man clothed in linens, who was upon the waters of the river, who raised his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by the living one in the ages that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when the scattering of the power of the holy people shall be finished, all these things shall be fulfilled.

8 » Yo oí, pero no entendí. Dije entonces: “Señor mío, ¿cuál será el fin de estas cosas?”

And I heard, but I did not understand; then I said, O my Lord, what is the fulfillment of these things?

9 É l respondió: “Anda, Daniel, pues estas palabras están cerradas y selladas hasta el tiempo del fin.

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel, for these words are closed up and sealed until the time of the fulfillment.

10 M uchos serán limpios, emblanquecidos y purificados; los impíos procederán impíamente, y ninguno de los impíos entenderá; pero los entendidos comprenderán.

Many shall be purified and made white and purged, but the wicked shall get worse; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

11 D esde el tiempo en que sea quitado el sacrificio continuo hasta la abominación desoladora, habrá mil doscientos noventa días.

And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away until the abomination of desolation, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

12 B ienaventurado el que espere, y llegue a mil trescientos treinta y cinco días.

Blessed is he that waits and comes unto one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

13 E n cuanto a ti, tú irás hasta el fin, y reposarás, y te levantarás para recibir tu heredad al fin de los días.”»

And thou shall go to the end and shalt rest, and thou shalt raise up in thy lot at the end of the days.
