1 P astor de Israel, escucha; tú que pastoreas como a ovejas a José, tú que estás entre querubines, resplandece.

¶ Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubim, shine forth.

2 ¡ Despierta tu poder delante de Efraín, de Benjamín y de Manasés, y ven a salvarnos!

In the presence of Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength and come and save us.

3 ¡ Dios, restáuranos! ¡Haz resplandecer tu rostro y seremos salvos!

Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

4 J ehová, Dios de los ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo mostrarás tu indignación contra la oración de tu pueblo?

O LORD God of the hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

5 L es diste a comer pan de lágrimas y a beber lágrimas en abundancia.

Thou dost feed them with the bread of tears and give them tears to drink in great measure.

6 N os pusiste por escarnio de nuestros vecinos y nuestros enemigos se burlan de nosotros.

Thou dost make us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies laugh at us among themselves.

7 ¡ Dios de los ejércitos, restáuranos! ¡Haz resplandecer tu rostro y seremos salvos!

Turn us again, O God of the hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

8 H iciste venir una vid de Egipto; echaste las naciones y la plantaste.

¶ Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt; thou hast cast out the Gentiles and planted it.

9 L impiaste el terreno para ella, hiciste arraigar sus raíces y llenó la tierra.

Thou didst prepare room before it and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the earth.

10 L os montes fueron cubiertos con su sombra y con sus sarmientos los cedros de Dios.

The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and its boughs were like the cedars of God.

11 E xtendió sus vástagos hasta el mar y hasta el río sus renuevos.

She sent out her boughs unto the sea and her branches unto the river.

12 ¿ Por qué rompiste sus cercas y la vendimian todos los que pasan por el camino?

Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all those who pass by the way pluck her?

13 L a destroza el puerco montés y la bestia del campo la devora.

The boar out of the wood wastes it, and the wild beast of the field devours it.

14 D ios de los ejércitos, vuelve ahora; mira desde el cielo, considera y visita esta viña,

Return, we beseech thee, O God of the hosts: look down from heaven and behold and visit this vine

15 l a planta que plantó tu diestra y el renuevo que para ti afirmaste.

and the vineyard which thy right hand has planted and the branch that thou didst make strong for thyself.

16 ¡ Quemada a fuego está, asolada! ¡Perezcan por la reprensión de tu rostro!

It is burned with fire; it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

17 S ea tu mano sobre el varón de tu diestra, sobre el hijo de hombre que para ti afirmaste.

Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou didst make strong for thyself,

18 A sí no nos apartaremos de ti; vida nos darás e invocaremos tu nombre.

so we will not go back from thee. Thou shalt quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.

19 ¡ Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, restáuranos! ¡Haz resplandecer tu rostro y seremos salvos!

Turn us again, O LORD God of the hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
