1 E l espíritu me elevó y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la casa de Jehová, la cual mira hacia el oriente; y he aquí, a la entrada de la puerta, veinticinco hombres, entre los cuales vi a Jaazanías hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías hijo de Benaía, jefes del pueblo.

¶ And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me through the east gate of the LORD’s house, which looks eastward; and behold at the entrance of the gate twenty-five men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

2 M e dijo: «Hijo de hombre, éstos son los hombres que maquinan perversidad y dan en esta ciudad mal consejo.

Then said he unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise mischief and give wicked counsel in this city:

3 E llos dicen: “No será tan pronto; edifiquemos casas; ésta será la olla, y nosotros la carne.”

who say, It is not near; let us build houses; these shall be the caldron, and we the flesh.

4 P or tanto, profetiza contra ellos, ¡profetiza, hijo de hombre!»

Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.

5 V ino sobre mí el espíritu de Jehová y me dijo: «Di: “Así ha dicho Jehová: Así habéis hablado, casa de Israel, y las cosas que suben a vuestro espíritu yo las he entendido.

And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me and said unto me, Say: Thus hath the LORD said, Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I have understood the things that come up into your spirit.

6 H abéis multiplicado vuestros muertos en esta ciudad; habéis llenado de muertos sus calles.

Ye have multiplied your slain in this city, and ye have filled the streets thereof with the slain.

7 P or tanto, así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Vuestros muertos que habéis puesto en medio de ella, ellos son la carne y ella es la olla; pero yo os sacaré a vosotros de en medio de ella.

Therefore thus hath the Lord GOD said; Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and it is the caldron; but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it.

8 A la espada habéis temido, y la espada traeré sobre vosotros, dice Jehová, el Señor.

Ye have feared the sword, and I will bring a sword upon you, said the Lord GOD.

9 O s sacaré de en medio de ella, os entregaré en manos de extraños y haré juicios entre vosotros.

And I will bring you out of the midst thereof and deliver you into the hands of strangers and will execute judgments in you.

10 A espada caeréis; en los límites de Israel os juzgaré, y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

Ye shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

11 L a ciudad no os será por olla ni vosotros seréis la carne en medio de ella; en los límites de Israel os juzgaré.

This city shall not be your caldron, neither shall ye be the flesh in the midst thereof; but I must judge you in the border of Israel:

12 Y sabréis que yo soy Jehová; porque no habéis andado en mis estatutos ni habéis obedecido mis decretos, sino que habéis hecho según las costumbres de las naciones que os rodean.”»

And ye shall know that I am the LORD; for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither have ye acted according to my judgments, but according to the judgments of the Gentiles that are round about you.

13 Y aconteció que mientras yo profetizaba, aquel Pelatías hijo de Benaía, murió. Entonces me postré rostro a tierra y clamé a gran voz, y dije: «¡Ah, Señor, Jehová!, ¿destruirás del todo al resto de Israel?» Promesa de restauración y renovación

And it came to pass, as I was prophesying that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell down upon my face and cried with a loud voice and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?

14 V ino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

15 « Hijo de hombre, tus hermanos, tus propios hermanos, los hombres de tu parentela y toda la casa de Israel, son aquellos a quienes dijeron los habitantes de Jerusalén: “Alejaos de Jehová; a nosotros es dada la tierra en posesión.”

Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel together, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from the LORD; unto us is this land given in possession.

16 P or tanto, di: “Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Aunque los he arrojado lejos entre las naciones y los he esparcido por las tierras, con todo les seré por un pequeño santuario en las tierras adonde lleguen.”

Therefore say, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

17 D i, por tanto: “Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Yo os recogeré de los pueblos, os congregaré de las tierras en las cuales estáis esparcidos y os daré la tierra de Israel.

Therefore say, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: I will even gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

18 V olverán allá, y quitarán de ella todas sus idolatrías y todas sus abominaciones.

And they shall come there, and they shall remove all her contaminations and all her abominations from her.

19 Y les daré otro corazón y pondré en ellos un nuevo espíritu; quitaré el corazón de piedra de en medio de su carne y les daré un corazón de carne,

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and will give them a heart of flesh:

20 p ara que anden en mis ordenanzas y guarden mis decretos y los cumplan, y sean mi pueblo y yo sea su Dios.

that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and fulfil them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

21 P ero a aquellos cuyo corazón anda tras el deseo de sus idolatrías y de sus abominaciones, yo traigo su camino sobre sus propias cabezas, dice Jehová, el Señor.”»

But as for those whose heart walks after the desire of their contaminations and of their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, said the Lord GOD.

22 D espués alzaron los querubines sus alas, y las ruedas iban en pos de ellos y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba sobre ellos.

¶ Then the cherubim lifted up their wings and the wheels after them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

23 L a gloria de Jehová se elevó de en medio de la ciudad y se puso sobre el monte que está al oriente de la ciudad.

And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.

24 L uego me levantó el espíritu y me volvió a llevar en visión del espíritu de Dios a la tierra de los caldeos, a donde estaban los cautivos. Y se fue de mí la visión que había visto.

Afterwards the Spirit took me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into the land of the Chaldeans to the captives. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

25 E ntonces referí a los cautivos todas las cosas que Jehová me había mostrado.

Then I spoke unto the captives all the words of the LORD that he had showed me.
