1 H abló Jehová a Moisés y le dijo:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 « Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: La mujer, cuando conciba y dé a luz un hijo varón, quedará impura durante siete días; como en los días de su menstruación será impura.

Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, If a woman has conceived seed and gives birth to a man child, then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her menses shall she be unclean.

3 A l octavo día se circuncidará al niño.

And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

4 P ero ella permanecerá treinta y tres días purificándose de su sangre. Ninguna cosa santa tocará, ni vendrá al santuario hasta que se cumplan los días de su purificación.

And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying thirty-three days; she shall touch no holy thing, nor come to the sanctuary until the days of her purifying are fulfilled.

5 S i da a luz una hija, quedará impura durante dos semanas, conforme a su separación, y sesenta y seis días estará purificándose de su sangre.

But if she gives birth to a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, according to her separation, and she shall be purifying herself for sixty-six days from her blood.

6 » Cuando los días de su purificación se cumplan, ya sea por un hijo o una hija, llevará al sacerdote un cordero de un año para holocausto, y un palomino o una tórtola para expiación, a la puerta del Tabernáculo de reunión.

¶ And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a turtledove as sin, unto the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, unto the priest,

7 E l sacerdote los ofrecerá delante de Jehová y hará expiación por ella. Así quedará limpia del flujo de su sangre.» Ésta es la ley para la que da a luz un hijo o una hija.

who shall offer it before the LORD and reconcile her, and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that has given birth to a male or a female.

8 Y si no tiene lo suficiente para un cordero, tomará entonces dos tórtolas o dos palominos, uno para holocausto y otro para expiación. El sacerdote hará expiación por ella, y quedará limpia.

And if she is not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons: the one for the burnt offering and the other as sin; and the priest shall reconcile her, and she shall be clean.
