¶ The sons of Aaron also had their courses. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

2 P ero como Nadab y Abiú murieron antes que su padre, sin haber tenido hijos, Eleazar e Itamar ejercieron el sacerdocio.

But Nadab and Abihu died before their father and had no children; therefore, Eleazar and Ithamar had the priesthood.

3 D avid, con Sadoc, de los hijos de Eleazar, y Ahimelec, de los hijos de Itamar, los repartió por sus turnos en el ministerio.

And David distributed them, Zadok being of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their turns in their ministry.

4 C omo entre los hijos de Eleazar había más varones principales que entre los hijos de Itamar, los repartieron así: De los hijos de Eleazar, dieciséis jefes de casas paternas; y de los hijos de Itamar, por sus casas paternas, ocho.

And there were more men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar, there were sixteen chief men of the houses of their fathers and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the houses of their fathers.

5 L os repartieron, pues, por suerte a unos y otros; porque tanto entre los hijos de Eleazar como entre los hijos de Itamar hubo príncipes del santuario y príncipes de la casa de Dios.

They divided them, therefore, by lot, one with another for of the sons of Eleazar and of the sons of Ithamar there were princes of the sanctuary and princes of God.

6 Y el escriba Semaías hijo de Natanael, de los levitas, escribió sus nombres en presencia del rey y de los príncipes, y delante de Sadoc, el sacerdote, de Ahimelec hijo de Abiatar y de los jefes de las casas paternas de los sacerdotes y levitas, designando por suerte una casa paterna para Eleazar y otra para Itamar.

And Shemaiah, the scribe, the son of Nethaneel, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king and the princes and before Zadok, the priest, and Ahimelech, the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers of the priests and Levites; one paternal house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

19 É stos fueron distribuidos para su ministerio, para que entraran en la casa de Jehová, según les fue ordenado por Aarón, su padre, de la manera que le había mandado Jehová, el Dios de Israel.

These were their orderings in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their right, in the ministry of Aaron, their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.

¶ And of the sons of Levi that remained: Of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

Rehabiah; of the sons of Rehabiah, the chief was Isshiah.

Of the Izharite; Shelomoth; and the son of Shelomoth, Jahath.

23 D e los hijos de Hebrón: Jerías, el jefe, el segundo, Amarías, el tercero, Jahaziel, el cuarto, Jecamán.

And of the sons of Jeriah: Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

The sons of Uzziel: Michah; and the son of Michah, Shamir.

25 H ermano de Micaía, Isías; e hijo de Isías, Zacarías.

The brother of Michah was Isshiah; and the son of Isshiah, Zechariah.

26 L os hijos de Merari: Mahli y Musi; hijo de Jaazías, Beno.

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the son of Jaaziah, Beno.

27 L os hijos de Merari por Jaazías: Beno, Soham, Zacur e Ibri.

The sons of Merari by Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.

28 Y de Mahli, Eleazar, quien no tuvo hijos.

Of Mahli came Eleazar, who had no sons.

Kish; the son of Kish, Jerahmeel.

30 L os hijos de Musi: Mahli, Edar y Jerimot. Éstos fueron los hijos de los levitas conforme a sus casas paternas.

The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to the houses of their fathers.

31 E stos también echaron suertes, como sus hermanos, los hijos de Aarón, delante del rey David, de Sadoc, de Ahimelec, y de los jefes de las casas paternas de los sacerdotes y levitas; siendo tratados el principal de los padres igualmente que el menor de los hermanos.

These, likewise, cast lots over against their brethren, the sons of Aaron, in the presence of David, the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.
