1 H abló Jehová a Moisés después de la muerte de los dos hijos de Aarón, que murieron cuando se acercaron a la presencia de Jehová.

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they came near before the LORD and died;

2 Y Jehová dijo a Moisés: «Di a Aarón, tu hermano, que no entre en todo tiempo en el santuario detrás del velo, delante del propiciatorio que está sobre el Arca, para que no muera, pues yo apareceré en la nube sobre el propiciatorio.

and the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron, thy brother, that he not enter at all times into the sanctuary inside the veil before the seat of reconciliation, which is upon the ark, that he not die; for I will appear in the cloud above the seat of reconciliation.

3 A arón entrará en el santuario con esto: un becerro para la expiación y un carnero para el holocausto.

Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock as sin and a ram as a burnt offering.

4 S e vestirá con la túnica santa de lino, se pondrá los calzoncillos de lino, se ceñirá el cinto de lino y con la mitra de lino se cubrirá. Éstas son las santas vestiduras; con ellas se ha de vestir después de lavar su cuerpo con agua.

He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen underwear upon his flesh and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he cover himself. These are holy garments; and he shall wash his flesh with water and put them on.

5 » De la congregación de los hijos de Israel tomará dos machos cabríos para la expiación y un carnero para el holocausto.

¶ And he shall take of the congregation of the sons of Israel two he goats as the sin and one ram as a burnt offering.

6 A arón hará traer su becerro de la expiación, y hará la reconciliación por sí y por su casa.

And Aaron shall cause the bullock of his sin to be brought, and make reconciliation for himself and for his house.

7 D espués tomará los dos machos cabríos y los presentará delante de Jehová, a la puerta del Tabernáculo de reunión.

After that, he shall take the two goats and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

8 L uego echará suertes Aarón sobre los dos machos cabríos, una suerte por Jehová y otra suerte por Azazel.

And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two he goats, one lot for the LORD and the other lot for Azazel.

9 Y hará traer Aarón el macho cabrío sobre el cual caiga la suerte por Jehová, y lo ofrecerá como expiación.

And Aaron shall cause the he goat upon which the LORD’s lot fell to be brought and offer him for the sin.

10 P ero el macho cabrío sobre el cual caiga la suerte por Azazel, lo presentará vivo delante de Jehová para hacer la reconciliación sobre él y enviarlo al desierto para Azazel.

But the he goat on which the lot fell for Azazel shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make the reconciliation upon him and to send him to Azazel into the wilderness.

11 » Hará traer Aarón el becerro destinado a su propia expiación, hará la reconciliación por sí y por su casa, y lo degollará como sacrificio de expiación.

And Aaron shall cause the bullock of his own sin to be brought and shall make the reconciliation for himself and for his house and shall kill the bullock of his own sin.

12 D espués tomará un incensario lleno de brasas de fuego del altar que está delante de Jehová, y dos puñados del perfume aromático molido, y lo llevará detrás del velo.

After that he shall take the censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD and his hands full of aromatic incense beaten small and bring it inside the veil.

13 P ondrá el perfume sobre el fuego delante de Jehová, y la nube del perfume cubrirá el propiciatorio que está sobre el Testimonio, para que no muera.

And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, and the cloud of the incense shall cover the seat of reconciliation that is upon the testimony, and he shall not die.

14 T omará luego de la sangre del becerro y la rociará con su dedo en el lado oriental del propiciatorio, y delante del propiciatorio esparcirá con su dedo siete veces de aquella sangre.

Then he shall take of the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it with his finger towards the seat of reconciliation eastward; towards the seat of reconciliation he shall sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

15 D espués degollará el macho cabrío como expiación por el pecado del pueblo, llevará la sangre detrás del velo adentro y hará con su sangre como hizo con la sangre del becerro: la esparcirá sobre el propiciatorio y delante del propiciatorio.

¶ After that, he shall kill the goat of the sin of the people and bring its blood inside the veil and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock and sprinkle it upon the seat of reconciliation and before the seat of reconciliation;

16 A sí purificará el santuario, a causa de las impurezas de los hijos de Israel, de sus rebeliones y de todos sus pecados. De la misma manera hará también con el Tabernáculo de reunión, que está entre ellos en medio de sus impurezas.

and he shall cleanse the sanctuary of the uncleanness of the sons of Israel and of their rebellions and of all their sins; in the same manner so shall he do for the tabernacle of the testimony, which dwells among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

17 » Ningún hombre estará en el Tabernáculo de reunión cuando él entre a hacer la expiación en el santuario, hasta que él salga. Cuando haya hecho expiación por sí mismo, por su casa y por toda la comunidad de Israel

And no man shall be in the tabernacle of the testimony when he enters in to make reconciliation in the sanctuary until he comes out and has made reconciliation for himself and for his household and for all the congregation of Israel.

18 s aldrá hacia el altar que está delante de Jehová, y lo expiará: tomará de la sangre del becerro y de la sangre del macho cabrío, y la pondrá sobre los cuernos alrededor del altar.

And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD and reconcile it and shall take of the blood of the bullock and of the blood of the he goat and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.

19 E sparcirá sobre él de la sangre con su dedo siete veces. Así lo limpiará y lo santificará de las impurezas de los hijos de Israel.

And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times and cleanse it and sanctify it from the uncleanness of the sons of Israel.

20 » Cuando haya acabado de expiar el santuario, el Tabernáculo de reunión y el altar, hará traer el macho cabrío vivo.

¶ And when he has made an end of reconciling the sanctuary and the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, he shall cause the live he goat to be brought;

21 P ondrá Aarón sus dos manos sobre la cabeza del macho cabrío vivo y confesará sobre él todas las iniquidades de los hijos de Israel, todas sus rebeliones y todos sus pecados. Así los pondrá sobre la cabeza del macho cabrío, y lo enviará al desierto por medio de un hombre destinado para esto.

and Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live he goat and confess over it all the iniquities of the sons of Israel and all their rebellions and all their sins, putting them thus upon the head of the he goat and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man prepared for this;

22 A quel macho cabrío llevará sobre sí todas sus iniquidades a tierra inhabitada; y dejará ir el macho cabrío por el desierto.

and that he goat shall bear upon itself all their iniquities unto an uninhabitable land; and he shall send the he goat into the wilderness.

23 D espués vendrá Aarón al Tabernáculo de reunión y se quitará las vestiduras de lino que había vestido para entrar en el santuario, y las pondrá allí.

After that, Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the testimony and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on to enter into the sanctuary, and shall put them there.

24 L avará luego su cuerpo con agua allí mismo en el santuario y, después de ponerse sus vestidos, saldrá a ofrecer su holocausto y el holocausto del pueblo; hará la expiación por sí mismo y por el pueblo,

Then he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place and put on his garments and come forth after that and make his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people and make reconciliation for himself and for the people.

25 y quemará en el altar la grasa del sacrificio por el pecado.

And the fat of the sin he shall incense upon the altar.

26 E l que haya llevado el macho cabrío a Azazel, lavará sus vestidos, lavará también con agua su cuerpo y después entrará en el campamento.

And he that took the he goat to Azazel shall wash his clothes and bathe his flesh with water and afterward come into the camp.

27 » Después sacarán fuera del campamento el becerro y el macho cabrío inmolados por el pecado, cuya sangre fue llevada al santuario para hacer la expiación, y quemarán en el fuego su piel, su carne y su estiércol.

And he shall take outside the camp the bullock of the sin and the goat of the sin, whose blood was brought in to make the reconciliation in the sanctuary; and they shall burn in the fire their skins and their flesh and their dung.

28 E l que los queme lavará sus vestidos y lavará también su cuerpo con agua, y después podrá entrar en el campamento.

And he that burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

29 » Esto tendréis por estatuto perpetuo: En el mes séptimo, a los diez días del mes, afligiréis vuestras almas, y ninguna obra haréis, ni el natural ni el extranjero que habita entre vosotros,

¶ And you shall hold this as a perpetual statute: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls and do no work at all, whether it is a natural of your own country or a stranger that sojourns among you;

30 p orque en este día se hará expiación por vosotros, y seréis limpios de todos vuestros pecados delante de Jehová.

for on that day he shall reconcile you to cleanse you that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

31 D ía de reposo es para vosotros, y afligiréis vuestras almas. Es un estatuto perpetuo.

It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a perpetual statute.

32 H ará la expiación el sacerdote que sea ungido y consagrado para ser sacerdote en lugar de su padre; se vestirá con las vestiduras de lino, las vestiduras sagradas,

And the reconciliation shall be made by the priest who is anointed and whose hand has been filled to be priest in the place of his father; and he shall put on the linen clothes, the holy garments;

33 y hará la expiación por el santuario santo y el Tabernáculo de reunión; también hará expiación por el altar, por los sacerdotes y por todo el pueblo de la congregación.

and he shall reconcile the holy sanctuary and reconcile the tabernacle of the testimony; he shall also reconcile the altar and the priests and all the people of the congregation.

34 » Esto tendréis como estatuto perpetuo, para hacer expiación una vez al año por todos los pecados de Israel.» Y Moisés lo hizo como Jehová le mandó.

And you shall hold this as a perpetual statute to reconcile the sons of Israel of all their sins once a year. And Moses did as the LORD commanded him.
