1 V enid y volvamos a Jehová, pues él nos destrozó, mas nos curará; nos hirió, mas nos vendará.

¶ Come, and let us return unto the LORD; for he has torn, and he will heal us; he has smitten, and he will bind us up.

2 D espués de dos días nos hará revivir, al tercer día nos levantará, y viviremos delante de él.

After two days he shall give us life: in the third day he will resurrect us, and we shall live in his sight.

3 E sforcémonos por conocer a Jehová: cierta como el alba es su salida. Vendrá a nosotros como la lluvia, como la lluvia tardía y temprana viene a la tierra.

And we shall know and follow on in knowing the LORD; his going forth is prepared as the dawn; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

4 « ¿Qué haré contigo, Efraín? ¿Qué haré contigo, Judá? Vuestra piedad es como nube matinal, como el rocío de la madrugada, que se desvanece.

¶ O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? Your mercy is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goes away.

5 P or eso los he quebrantado mediante los profetas; con las palabras de mi boca los maté, y tus juicios brotarán como la luz.

Therefore I have hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: that thy righteousness be as the light that goes forth.

6 P orque misericordia quiero y no sacrificios, conocimiento de Dios más que holocaustos.

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

7 » Pero ellos, cual Adán, violaron el pacto; allí han pecado contra mí.

But they have transposed the covenant as of men: there they have rebelled against me.

8 G alaad, ciudad de malhechores, toda manchada de sangre.

Gilead is a city of those that work iniquity and is polluted with blood.

9 C omo ladrones al acecho de un hombre, así una compañía de sacerdotes mata y comete infamias en el camino hacia Siquem.

And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the council of priests murder in the way by common accord; for they put the abomination into effect.

10 E n la casa de Israel he visto cosas horribles: allí fornicó Efraín y se contaminó Israel.

I saw uncleanness in the house of Israel: there Ephraim played the harlot, Israel defiled herself.

11 P ara ti también, Judá, está preparada una siega, cuando yo haga volver el cautiverio de mi pueblo.»

Also, Judah placed a plant in thee when I had turned the captivity of my people.
