¶ Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless the name of his holiness.

2 B endiga o Senhor a minha alma! Não esqueça nenhuma de suas bênçãos!

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 É ele que perdoa todos os seus pecados e cura todas as suas doenças,

Who forgives all thine iniquities; who heals all thy diseases;

4 q ue resgata a sua vida da sepultura e o coroa de bondade e compaixão,

who redeems thy life from destruction; who crowns thee with mercy and compassion;

5 q ue enche de bens a sua existência, de modo que a sua juventude se renova como a águia.

who satisfies thy mouth with good things so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 O Senhor faz justiça e defende a causa dos oprimidos.

¶ The LORD executes righteousness and justice unto all that suffer violence.

7 E le manifestou os seus caminhos a Moisés, os seus feitos aos israelitas.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the sons of Israel.

8 O Senhor é compassivo e misericordioso, mui paciente e cheio de amor.

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9 N ão acusa sem cessar nem fica ressentido para sempre;

He will not always chide, neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 n ão nos trata conforme os nossos pecados nem nos retribui conforme as nossas iniqüidades.

He has not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 P ois como os céus se elevam acima da terra, assim é grande o seu amor para com os que o temem;

For as the heavens are high above the earth so does he increase his mercy over those that fear him.

12 e como o Oriente está longe do Ocidente, assim ele afasta para longe de nós as nossas transgressões.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our rebellions from us.

13 C omo um pai tem compaixão de seus filhos, assim o Senhor tem compaixão dos que o temem;

Like as a father has mercy upon his children, so the LORD has mercy upon those that fear him.

14 p ois ele sabe do que somos formados; lembra-se de que somos pó.

For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.

15 A vida do homem é semelhante à relva; ele floresce como a flor do campo,

As for man, his days are as grass; as an open flower of the field, so he blossoms.

16 q ue se vai quando sopra o vento e nem se sabe mais o lugar que ocupava.

For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place shall know it no more.

17 M as o amor leal do Senhor, o seu amor eterno, está com os que o temem, e a sua justiça com os filhos dos seus filhos,

But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon those that fear him, and his righteousness unto the children’s children,

18 c om os que guardam a sua aliança e se lembram de obedecer aos seus preceitos.

to such as keep his covenant and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

19 O Senhor estabeleceu o seu trono nos céus, e como rei domina sobre tudo o que existe.

¶ The LORD has prepared his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.

20 B endigam o Senhor, vocês, seus anjos poderosos, que obedecem à sua palavra.

Bless the LORD, ye his angels, valiant and strong, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 B endigam o Senhor todos os seus exércitos, vocês, seus servos, que cumprem a sua vontade.

Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts, ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

22 B endigam o Senhor todas as suas obras em todos os lugares do seu domínio. Bendiga o Senhor a minha alma!

Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.
