1 І було мені слово Господнє таке:

¶ The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

2 А ти, сину людський, здійми пісню жалобну про Тир!

Now, thou son of man, raise up lamentations upon Tyre.

3 І скажеш до Тиру: Ти, що при входах морських пробуваєш, що торгуєш з народами на численних островах: Так говорить Господь Бог: Тире, ти сказав: я то корона краси!

And say unto Tyre, O thou that dwelleth at the ports of the sea, who art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus hath the Lord GOD said; O Tyre, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.

4 У серці морів границі твої; будівничі твої довершили твою красу!

In the heart of the seas are thy border; thy builders have completed thy beauty.

5 З кипарису з Сеніру вони збудували для тебе всі дошки подвійні, взяли кедра з Ливану, щоб щоглу зробити на тобі.

They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir; they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.

6 З башанських дубів твої весла зробили, твій поклад зробили із кости слонової, із смереки з островів тих Кіттійських.

Of the oaks of Bashan they have made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.

7 С орокатий з Єгипту віссон був вітрилом твоїм, щоб за прапора бути тобі; блакить та пурпура з островів Еліші стали твоїм покриттям.

Of fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was thy curtain, that it might serve to be thy sail; of blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was thy pavilion.

8 М ешканці Сидону й Арваду були веслярами тобі, мудреці твої, Тире, у тебе були, вони мореплавці твої.

The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy rowers; thy wise men, O Tyre, were in thee; they were thy pilots.

9 С тарші із Ґевалу й його мудреці були в тебе за тих, що латали проломи твої. Всі морські кораблі й мореплавці їхні в тебе були, щоб міняти крам твій.

The elders of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee to repair thy breaches: all the galleys of the sea with their rowers were in thee to negotiate thy business dealings.

10 П ерс, і Луд, і Пут були в війську твоїм вояками твоїми, вішали в тебе щита та шолома, вони то давали тобі пишноту.

Those of Persia and of Lud and of Africa were in thine army, thy men of war: they hung the shield and helmet in thee; they extolled thy beauty.

11 С инове Арваду та військо твоє навколо на мурах твоїх, а Ґаммадеї на баштах твоїх пробували, щити свої вішали навколо на мурах твоїх, вони довершили окрасу твою.

The sons of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hung their shields upon thy walls round about; they completed thy beauty.

12 Т аршіш був для тебе купцем через многоту багатства усякого; сріблом, залізом, циною й оливом платили вони за крам твій.

Tarshish was thy market by reason of the multitude of all thy riches in silver, iron, tin, and lead; they traded in thy fairs.

13 Я ван, Тувал та Мешех це купці твої, людську душу та мідяні речі давали вони за замінний крам твій.

Greece, Tubal, and Meshech, thy merchants, with the soul of men and with vessels of brass; they traded in thy fairs.

14 З дому Тоґарми давали коні, і верхівців, і мулів за крам твій.

Those of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.

15 С инове Дедану твої покупці; численні острови торгували з тобою, рогами слонової кости й гебановим деревом звертали данину твою.

The sons of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles took merchandise from thy hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and peacocks.

16 А рам твій купець через многість виробів твоїх; рубин, пурпуру, і квітчасту тканину, і віссон, і коралі та дорогоцінний камінь давали тобі за крам твій.

Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they traded in thy fairs with rubies and purple and broidered work and fine linen and coral and pearls.

17 Ю да й Ізраїлів Край це купці твої; пшеницю з Мінніту, солодощі, і мед, і оливу й бальзам давали вони за замінний крам твій.

Judah, and the land of Israel; they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market with wheat, Minnith and Pannag and honey and oil and balm.

18 Д амаск твій купець через многість виробів твоїх, через многість багатства усякого, вином із Хелбону та білою вовною.

Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the abundance of all riches, with wine of Helbon and white wool.

19 В едан та Яван із Уззалу давали тобі за крам залізо оброблене, бальзам та очерет, було це замінним крамом твоїм.

Dan also and Greece and Mozel traded in thy fairs bright iron, cassia, and calamus.

20 Д едан твій купець килимками до сідел при їждженні.

Dedan was thy merchant in precious cloth for chariots.

21 А рабія та всі кедарські князі покупці це твоєї руки; ягнятами, і баранами, і козлами, ними торгівля твоя.

Arabia and all the princes of Kedar, merchants of thy strength in lambs and rams and he goats: in these they were thy merchants.

22 К упці Шеви й Рами покупці це твої, коштовним бальзамом, і дорогим усіляким камінням та злотом давали вони за товар твій.

The merchants of Sheba and Raamah; they were thy merchants: they traded in thy fairs with the chief of all spices and with all precious stones and gold.

23 Х аран, і Ханне, і Еден, купці Шеви, Ашшур та Кілмад це твої покупці.

Haran and Canneh and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad were in thy market.

24 Ц е твої покупці коштовним убранням: покривалами блакитними, і квітчастими, і багатокольоровими тканими виробами, міцними шнурами пов'язаними за крам твій.

These, thy merchants, negotiated with thee in all sorts of things: in blue robes and broidered work and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.

25 К ораблі із Таршішу твої каравани, для краму твого замінного, і став ти багатим, і став дуже славним у серці морів.

The ships of Tarshish, thy squadrons, went forth on thy behalf: and thou wast full, and wast multiplied greatly in the midst of the seas.

26 Н а воду велику тебе завели твої веслярі, і в серці морів східній вітер розіб'є тебе.

¶ In many waters they overcame thy rowers; the east wind has broken thee in the midst of the seas.

27 Б агатство твоє та крам твій, і вироби твої замінні, мореплавці твої і твої щоглярі, ті, що латають пробої твої, і ті, що міняють замінний крам твій, і всі твої вояки, які в тебе, і всі збори твої, що серед тебе, попадають в серці морів в дні упадку твого!

Thy riches, and thy markets, thy business, thy rowers, and thy pilots, those that repair thy breaches, and the agents of thy business, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, with all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

28 Н а лемент твоїх щоглярів затремтять вали морські,

The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots.

29 і посходять з своїх кораблів усі веслярі, мореплавці, всі морські щоглярі, на землі постають.

And all that handle the oar, the rowers, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships; they shall stand upon the land

30 І заголосять за тебе вони тужним голосом, і кричатимуть гірко, і свої голови порохом пообсипають, у попелі будуть качатись!

and shall cause their voice to be heard upon thee and shall cry bitterly and shall cast up dust upon their heads; they shall wallow themselves in the ashes.

31 І зроблять собі ради тебе жалобную лисину, і себе опережуть веретами, і плакатимуть за тобою в гіркоті душі гірким голосінням....

And they shall pull out their hair for thee and gird themselves with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of soul and bitter wailings.

32 І пісню жалоби сини їхні здіймуть про тебе, і над тобою співатимуть жалібно: Хто інший, як Тир, посередині моря зруйнований?

And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee and lament over thee, saying, Who is like Tyre, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?

33 К оли припливали вироби твої із морів, насищав ти численні народи; многотою багатства твого та виробів замінних твоїх ти збагачував земських царів!

When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou didst fill many peoples; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy contracts.

34 Т епер же, коли ти розбитий на морі, у водних глибинах, то замінний виріб твій і всі збори твої серед тебе попадали...

In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy commerce and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.

35 Н ад тобою стовпіють усі остров'яни, а їхні царі затремтіли від жаху, засльозилися їхні обличчя!

All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid; they shall be troubled in their countenance.

36 К упці серед народів глузливо свистять над тобою, ти пострахом став, і не буде навіки тебе!...

The merchants among the peoples shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror and never shalt be any more.
