1 І було мені слово Господнє таке:

¶ And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 С ину людський, зверни своє обличчя до Ґоґа, краю Маґоґа, князя Рошу, Мешеху та Тувалу, і пророкуй на нього

Son of man, set thy face against Gog in the land of Magog, prince of the capital of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy over him,

3 т а й скажеш: Так сказав Господь: Ось Я проти тебе, Ґоґу, княже Рошу, Мешеху та Тувалу!

and say, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Behold, I come unto thee, O Gog, prince of the capital of Meshech and Tubal;

4 І заверну тебе, і вкладу гачки в щелепи твої, і виведу тебе та все військо твоє, коней та верхівців, усі вони досконало озброєні, велике зборище, зо щитами та щитками, усі озброєні мечами.

and I will break thee and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

5 П арас, Куш і Пут із ними, усі вони зо щитом та з шоломом.

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them, all of them with shield and helmet:

6 Ґ омер і всі орди його, дім Тоґарми, кінці північні та всі відділи його, численні народи з тобою.

Gomer and all his companies; the house of Togarmah that dwells to the sides of the north and all his companies and many peoples with thee.

7 П риготуйся, і приготуй собі ти та все зборище твоє, зібрані при тобі, і будеш для них сторожею.

Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

8 П о багатьох днях ти будеш потрібний, у кінці років прийдеш до Краю, що повернений від меча, що зібраний від численних народів, на Ізраїлеві гори, що завжди були руїною, а він був виведений від народів, і всі вони сидять безпечно.

After many days thou shalt be visited; at the end of years thou shalt come to the land broken by the sword, gathered out of many peoples, to the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste; but she is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

9 І вийдеш, прийдеш як буря, будеш як хмара, щоб покрити землю, ти та всі відділи твої, та численні народи з тобою.

Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm; thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy companies and many peoples with thee.

10 Т ак говорить Господь Бог: І станеться того дня, увійдуть слова на твоє серце, і ти будеш думати злу думку,

Thus hath the Lord GOD said: It shall also come to pass in that day, that words shall rise up in thy heart, and thou shalt conceive an evil thought:

11 т а й скажеш: Піду на неукріплений край, знайду спокійних, що безпечно сидять, усі вони сидять в осадах без муру, і нема в них засува та воріт,

and thou shalt say, I will go up against the land of unwalled villages; I will go against those that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

12 щ об набрати здобичі, і чинити грабунок, щоб повернути свою руку на заселені руїни, і на народ, зібраний з народів, що набувають добуток та маєток, що сидять посеред землі.

to take a spoil and to take a prey, to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited and upon the people that are gathered out of the Gentiles, who have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the navel of the land.

13 Ш ева та Дедан, і купці Таршішу, і всі левчуки його скажуть тобі: Чи ти прийшов набрати здобичі, чи ти зібрав своє зборище, щоб чинити грабунок, щоб винести срібло та золото, щоб набрати добутку та маєтку, щоб набрати великої здобичі?

Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

14 Т ому пророкуй, сину людський, та й скажеш до Ґоґа: Так говорить Господь Бог: Чи того дня, коли народ Мій сидітиме безпечно, ти не довідаєшся про це?

¶ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog: Thus hath the Lord GOD said: In that time when my people of Israel shall dwell securely, shalt thou not know it?

15 І прийдеш із свого місця, із північних кінців, ти та численні народи з тобою, всі вони гарцюють на конях, зборище велике й військо численне!

And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many peoples with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

16 І здіймешся на народ Мій Ізраїлів, як хмара, щоб покрити землю. Буде це на кінці днів, і виведу тебе на Мій Край, щоб народи пізнали Мене, коли Я покажу Свою святість тобі, Ґоґу, на їхніх очах.

and thou shalt come up against my people of Israel as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be at the end of the days, and I will bring thee upon my land, that the Gentiles may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

17 Т ак говорить Господь Бог: Чи ти той, що про нього говорив Я за давніх днів через Моїх рабів, Ізраїлевих пророків, що пророкували за тих днів про роки, щоб привести тебе на них?

Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Art thou not he of whom I have spoken in days past by my slaves the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those times that I would have to bring thee upon them?

18 І станеться того дня, у дні приходу Ґоґа на Ізраїлеву землю, говорить Господь Бог, увійде ревність Моя в ніздрі Мої.

And it shall come to pass in that time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, said the Lord GOD, that my fury shall rise up in my anger.

19 І в ревності своїй, в огні Свого гніву Я сказав: цього дня буде великий трус на Ізраїлевій землі.

For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath I have spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking upon the land of Israel,

20 І затремтять перед Моїм лицем морські риби та птаство небесне, і польова звірина, всяке гаддя, що плазує по землі, і всяка людина, що на поверхні землі, і будуть поруйновані гори, і поваляться урвища, і всякий мур на землю впаде.

so that the fishes of the sea and the fowls of the heaven and the beasts of the field and every serpent that walks by dragging itself upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake before my presence, and the mountains shall be ruined, and the stairs shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

21 І покличу проти нього меча на всіх горах Моїх, говорить Господь Бог, меч кожного буде на брата його!

And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, said the Lord GOD: each man’s sword shall be against his brother.

22 І буду судитися з ними моровицею та кров'ю, і пущу заливний дощ та камінний град, огонь та сірку на нього та на відділи його, та на численні народи, що з ним.

And I will litigate against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him and upon his companies and upon the many peoples that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

23 І звеличуся, і покажу Свою святість, і буду пізнаний на очах численних народів, і вони пізнають, що Я Господь!

And I will be magnified and sanctified, and I will be known in the eyes of many Gentiles, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
