1 Б лагослови, душе моя, Господа! Господи, Боже мій, Ти вельми великий, зодягнувся Ти в велич та в славу!

¶ Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty,

2 З одягає Він світло, як шати, небеса простягає, немов би завісу.

who dost cover thyself with light as with a garment, who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain,

3 В ін ставить на водах палати Свої, хмари кладе за Свої колесниці, ходить на крилах вітрових!

who dost establish his chambers between the waters, who makes the clouds his chariot, who walks upon the wings of the wind,

4 В ін чинить вітри за Своїх посланців, палючий огонь за Своїх слуг.

who makes his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire,

5 З емлю Ти вґрунтував на основах її, щоб на вічні віки вона не захиталась,

who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved by any age.

6 б езоднею вкрив Ти її, немов шатою. Стала вода над горами,

Thou didst cover it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

7 в ід погрози Твоєї вона втекла, від гуркоту грому Твого побігла вона,

At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

8 в иходить на гори та сходить в долини, на місце, що Ти встановив був для неї.

The mountains were exposed; they descended through the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

9 Т и границю поклав, щоб її вона не перейшла, щоб вона не вернулася землю покрити.

Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over, that they not turn again to cover the earth.

10 В ін джерела пускає в потоки, що пливуть між горами,

¶ Thou art he who sends the springs into the valleys, which run among the mountains.

11 н апувають вони всю пільну звірину, ними дикі осли гасять спрагу свою.

They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.

12 П таство небесне над ними живе, видає воно голос з-посеред галузок.

Next to them the fowls of the heavens have their habitation; they sing among the leaves.

13 В ін напоює гори з палаців Своїх, із плоду чинів Твоїх земля сититься.

He waters the mountains from his chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

14 Т раву для худоби вирощує, та зеленину для праці людині, щоб хліб добувати з землі,

He causes the hay to grow for the cattle and grass for the service of man, that he may bring forth bread out of the earth

15 і вино, що серце людині воно звеселяє, щоб більш від оливи блищало обличчя, і хліб, що серце людині зміцняє.

and wine that makes glad the heart of man, making his face to shine with oil and bread which sustains man’s heart.

16 Н асичуються Господні дерева, ті кедри ливанські, що Ти насадив,

The trees of the LORD are satisfied; the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted,

17 щ о там кубляться птахи, бузько, кипариси мешкання його.

that the birds may make their nests there: the stork makes her house among the fir trees.

18 Г ори високі для диких козиць, скелі сховище скельним звіринам.

The high mountains are a refuge for the wild goats, and the rocks for the conies.

19 і місяця Він учинив для означення часу, сонце знає свій захід.

¶ He appointed the moon for times and seasons; the sun knows his going down.

20 Т емноту Ти наводиш і ніч настає, в ній порушується вся звірина лісна,

Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest move.

21 р ичать левчуки за здобичею та шукають від Бога своєї поживи.

The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God.

22 С онце ж засвітить вони повтікають, та й кладуться по норах своїх.

The sun arises, they withdraw and lay themselves down in their dens.

23 Л юдина виходить на працю свою, й на роботу свою аж до вечора.

Man goes forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

24 Я кі то численні діла Твої, Господи, Ти мудро вчинив їх усіх, Твого творива повна земля!

O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom thou hast made them all; the earth is full of thy riches.

25 О сь море велике й розлогошироке, там повзюче, й числа їм немає, звірина мала та велика!

So is this great and wide sea, wherein are innumerable creeping things, both small and great beasts.

26 Х одять там кораблі, там той левіятан, якого створив Ти, щоб бавитися йому в морі.

There go the ships; there is that leviathan, whom thou didst make to play therein.

27 В они всі чекають Тебе, щоб Ти часу свого поживу їм дав.

These wait all upon thee, that thou may give them their food in due season.

28 Д аєш їм збирають вони, руку Свою розкриваєш добром насичаються.

Thou givest unto them, they gather; thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

29 Х оваєш обличчя Своє то вони перелякані, забираєш їм духа вмирають вони, та й вертаються до свого пороху.

Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their spirit, they cease to exist and return to their dust.

30 П осилаєш Ти духа Свого вони творяться, і Ти відновляєш обличчя землі.

Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created; and thou renewest the face of the earth.

31 Н ехай буде слава Господня навіки, хай ділами Своїми радіє Господь!

¶ Let the glory of the LORD endure for ever; let the LORD rejoice in his works.

32 В ін погляне на землю й вона затремтить, доторкнеться до гір і димують вони!

He looks on the earth, and it trembles: he touches the mountains, and they smoke.

33 Я буду співати Господеві в своєму житті, буду грати для Бога мого, аж поки живу!

I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 Б уде приємна Йому моя мова, я Господом буду радіти!

My meditation of him shall be sweet; I will be glad in the LORD.

35 Н ехай згинуть грішні з землі, а безбожні немає вже їх! Благослови, душе моя, Господа! Алілуя!

Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Halelu- JAH (Praise ye the LORD).
