1 А щодо духовних дарів, то не хочу я, браття, щоб не відали ви.

¶ Now regarding spiritual things, brothers, I would not have you ignore them.

2 З наєте, що коли ви поганами були, то ходили до німих ідолів, ніби воджено вас.

Ye know that when ye were Gentiles, ye went, even as ye were led, unto the dumb idols.

3 Т ому то кажу вам, що ніхто, хто говорить Духом Божим, не скаже: Нехай анатема буде на Ісуса, і не може сказати ніхто: Ісус то Господь, як тільки Духом Святим.

Therefore I give you to understand, that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus anathema and that no one can call Jesus Lord but by the Holy Spirit.

4 Є різниця між дарами милости, Дух же той Самий.

Now there is dispersal of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 Є й різниця між служіннями, та Господь той же Самий.

And there is dispersal of ministries, but the same Lord.

6 Є різниця й між діями, але Бог той же Самий, що в усіх робить усе.

And there is dispersal of operations, but it is the same God who works all in each one.

7 І кожному дається виявлення Духа на користь.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one to profit with.

8 О дному бо Духом дається слово мудрости, а другому слово знання тим же Духом,

For to one is given by the Spirit a word of wisdom; to another, a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;

9 а іншому віра тим же Духом, а іншому дари вздоровлення тим же Духом,

to another, faith by the same Spirit; to another, gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 а іншому роблення чуд, а іншому пророкування, а іншому розпізнавання духів, а тому різні мови, а іншому вияснення мов.

to another, the operation of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, discerning of spirits; to another, different kinds of tongues; to another, the interpretation of tongues:

11 А все оце чинить один і той Самий Дух, уділяючи кожному осібно, як Він хоче.

one and the same Spirit operates all these things, dispersing to each one his own gift as he wills.

12 Б о як тіло одне, але має членів багато, усі ж члени тіла, хоч їх багато, то тіло одне, так і Христос.

¶ For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also the Christ.

13 Б о ми всі одним Духом охрищені в тіло одне, чи то юдеї, чи геллени, чи раби, чи то вільні, і всі ми напоєні Духом одним.

For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Greeks, whether we are slaves or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14 Б о тіло не є один член, а багато.

For the body is not one member, but many.

15 К оли скаже нога, що я не від тіла, бо я не рука, то хіба через це не від тіла вона?

If the foot shall say, Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?

16 І коли скаже вухо, що я не від тіла, бо я не око, то хіба через це не від тіла воно?

And if the ear shall say, Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body?

17 К оли б оком було ціле тіло, то де був би слух? А коли б усе слух, то де був би нюх?

If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?

18 Т а нині Бог розклав члени в тілі, кожного з них, як хотів.

But now God has set the members each one of them in the body, as it has pleased him.

19 Я кби всі одним членом були, то де тіло було б?

And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

20 О тож, тепер членів багато, та тіло одне.

But now they are indeed many members, yet but one body.

21 Б о око не може сказати руці: Ти мені непотрібна; або голова знов ногам: Ви мені непотрібні.

And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee; nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22 А ле члени тіла, що здаються слабіші, значно більше потрібні.

For those members of the body, which seem to be weaker, are much more necessary;

23 А тим, що вважаємо їх за зовсім нешановані в тілі, таким честь найбільшу приносимо, і бридкі наші члени отримують пристойність найбільшу,

and those members of the body which we think to be more vile, these we dress with more abundant honour; and those in us who are more indecent have more honesty.

24 а нашим пристойним того не потрібно. Та Бог змішав тіло, і честь більшу дав нижчому членові,

For those in us who are more honest need nothing, but God has ordered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that one which lacked,

25 щ об поділення в тілі не було, а щоб члени однаково дбали один про одного.

that there should be no contradiction in the body, but that the members should have the same care one for another.

26 І коли терпить один член, то всі члени з ним терплять; і коли один член пошанований, то всі члени з ним тішаться.

And if one member suffers, all the members suffer together; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice together.

27 І ви тіло Христове, а зосібна ви члени!

¶ Now ye are the body of Christ and members in particular.

28 А інших поставив Бог у Церкві поперше апостолами, подруге пророками, потретє учителями, потім дав сили, також дари вздоровлення, допомоги, управління, різні мови.

And God did set certain ones in the congregation: first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that faculties, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

29 Ч и ж усі апостоли? Чи ж усі пророки? Чи ж усі вчителі? Чи ж усі сили чудодійні?

Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? do all have faculties?

30 Ч и ж усі мають дари вздоровлення? Чи ж мовами всі розмовляють? Чи ж усі виясняють?

Do all have gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

31 Т ож дбайте ревно про ліпші дари, а я вам покажу путь іще кращу!

But earnestly pursue the best gifts, and yet I show unto you a more excellent way.
