1 Д ля дириґетна хору. На „Лілеї". Синів Кореєвих. Псалом навчальний. Пісня любови. (45-2) Моє серце бринить добрим словом, проказую я: Для Царя мої твори, мій язик мов перо скорописця!

¶ My heart is overflowing with a good word; I speak of the things which I have done concerning the king; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

2 ( 45-3) Ти кращий від людських синів, в Твоїх устах розлита краса та добро, тому благословив Бог навіки Тебе.

Thou art fairer than the sons of men, grace is poured into thy lips; therefore God has blessed thee for ever.

3 ( 45-4) Прив'яжи до стегна Свого, Сильний, Свого меча, красу Свою та величність Свою,

Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most valiant, with thy glory and thy majesty.

4 ( 45-5) і в величності Своїй сідай, та й верхи помчися за справи правди, і лагідности та справедливости, і навчить Тебе страшних чинів правиця Твоя!

And in thy majesty be prospered; ride upon the word of truth and of humility and of righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

5 ( 45-6) Твої стріли нагострені, а від них під Тобою народи попадають, у серце Царських ворогів.

Thine arrows, by which the peoples fall under thee, penetrate the heart of the enemies of the king.

6 ( 45-7) Престол Твій, о Боже, на вічні віки, берло правди берло Царства Твого.

¶ Thy throne, O God, is eternal and for ever, the rod of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

7 ( 45-8) Ти полюбив справедливість, а беззаконня зненавидів, тому намастив Тебе Бог, Твій Бог, оливою радости понад друзів Твоїх.

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness; therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

8 ( 45-9) Миро, алое й кассія всі шати Твої, а з палат із слонової кости струни Тебе звеселили.

All thy garments smell of myrrh and aloes and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made thee glad.

9 ( 45-10) Серед скарбів Твоїх царські дочки, по правиці Твоїй стала цариця в офірському щирому золоті.

Kings’ daughters were among thy honourable women; the queen stands at thy right hand with a crown of gold from Ophir.

10 ( 45-11) Слухай, дочко, й побач, і нахили своє ухо, і забудь свій народ і дім батька свого!

¶ Hearken, O daughter, and consider and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house;

11 ( 45-12) А Цар буде жадати твоєї краси, бо Він твій Господь, а ти до землі Йому кланяйся.

so shall the king greatly desire thy beauty; and bow before him, for he is thy Lord.

12 ( 45-13) А Тирська дочка прийде з даром, будуть благати тебе найбагатші з народу.

And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

13 ( 45-14) Вся оздоба царської дочки усередині, шата ж її погаптована золотом.

The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

14 ( 45-15) У шати гаптовані вбрану провадять її до Царя, за нею дівчата, подруги її, до Тебе проваджені.

She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework; the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

15 ( 45-16) Провадять їх з радощами та потіхою, у палату царську вони війдуть.

With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought; they shall enter into the king’s palace.

16 ( 45-17) Замість батьків Твоїх будуть сини Твої, їх по цілій землі Ти поставиш володарями.

Instead of thy fathers shall be thy sons, whom thou shalt make princes in all the earth.

17 ( 45-18) Я буду ім'я Твоє згадувати по всіх поколіннях, тому то народи по вічні віки Тебе славити будуть!

I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the people praise thee eternally and for ever.
