1 І сталося по поразці, і сказав Господь до Мойсея й до Елеазара, сина священика Аарона, говорячи:

¶ And it came to pass after the plague that the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saying,

2 П ерелічіть усю громаду Ізраїлевих синів від віку двадцяти літ і вище за домами їхніх батьків, кожного, хто здатний до війська в Ізраїлі.

Take the sum of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by the houses of their fathers, all that are able to go to war in Israel.

3 І говорив до них Мойсей та священик Елеазар у моавських степах над приєрихонським Йорданом, говорячи:

And Moses and Eleazar, the priest, spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,

4 П ерелічіть від віку двадцяти літ і вище, як наказав був Господь Мойсеєві і Ізраїлевим синам, що виходили з єгипетського краю.

Count the people from twenty years old and upward as the LORD commanded Moses and the sons of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt.

5 Р увим, перворідний Ізраїлів. Рувимові сини: Ханох рід Ханохів, від Паллу рід Паллуїв,

¶ Reuben, firstborn of Israel; the sons of Reuben: Enoch, of whom was the family of the Enochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

6 в ід Хецрона рід Хецронів, від Кармі рід Карміїв.

of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.

7 О це Рувимові роди. І були їхні перелічені: сорок і три тисячі й сімсот і тридцять.

These are the families of the Reubenites; and those numbered were forty-three thousand seven hundred and thirty.

8 А сини Паллуєві: Еліяв.

And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.

9 А сини Еліявові: Немуїл, і Датан, і Авірон. Це той Датан та Авірон, покликані громади, що підбурювали проти Мойсея та проти Аарона в Кореєвій громаді, коли вони підбурювали на Господа.

And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, who were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD.

10 І відкрила земля свої уста, та й поглинула їх та Корея при смерті тієї громади, коли огонь пожер був двісті і п'ятдесят люда, і стали вони за ознаку.

And the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, when the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men and they became an example.

11 А Кореєві сини не померли.

Notwithstanding the sons of Korah did not die.

12 С ини Симеонові за їхніми родами: від Немуїла рід Немуїлів, від Яміна рід Ямінів, від Яхіна рід Яхінів,

The sons of Simeon by their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites;

13 в ід Зераха рід Зерахів, від Саула рід Саулів.

of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites; of Saul, the family of the Shaulites.

14 О це Симеонові роди, двадцять і дві тисячі й двісті.

These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty-two thousand two hundred.

15 С ини Ґадові за їхніми родами: від Цефона рід Цефонів, від Хаґґі рід Хаґґіїв, від Шуні рід Шуніїв,

The sons of Gad by their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Haggi, the family of the Haggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;

16 в ід Озні рід Озніїв, від Ері рід Еріїв,

of Ozni, the family of the Oznites; of Eri, the family of the Erites;

17 в ід Арода рід Ародів, від Ар'елі рід Ар'еліїв.

of Arod, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites.

18 О це роди Ґадових синів, за їхнім переліченням: сорок тисяч і п'ятсот.

These are the families of the sons of Gad according to those numbered, forty thousand five hundred.

19 С ини Юдині: Ер та Онан; і помер Ер та Онан у ханаанськім Краї.

The sons of Judah: Er and Onan; and Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.

20 І були Юдині сини за їхніми родами: від Шели рід Шелин, від Переца рід Переців, від Зераха рід Зерахів.

And the sons of Judah by their families: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Pharez, the family of the Pharzites; of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites.

21 А Перецеві сини були: від Хецрона рід Хецронів, від Хамула рід Хамулів.

And the sons of Pharez: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.

22 О це Юдини роди за їхнім переліченням: сімдесят і шість тисяч і п'ятсот.

These are the families of Judah according to those numbered, seventy-six thousand five hundred.

23 С ини Іссахарові за їхніми родами: Тола рід Толин, від Цувви рід Цуввин,

The sons of Issachar by their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Pua, the family of the Punites;

24 в ід Яшува рід Яшувів, від Шімрона рід Шімронів.

of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.

25 О це Іссахарові роди за їхнім переліченням: шістдесят і чотири тисячі й триста.

These are the families of Issachar according to those numbered, sixty-four thousand three hundred.

26 С ини Завулонові за їхніми родами: від Середа рід Середів, від Елона рід Елонів, від Яхлеїла рід Яхлеїлів.

The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Sardites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.

27 О це Завулонові роди за їхнім переліченням: шістдесят тисяч і п'ятсот.

These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those numbered, sixty thousand five hundred.

28 С ини Йосипа за їхніми родами: Манасія та Єфрем.

The sons of Joseph by their families: Manasseh and Ephraim.

29 С ини Манасіїні: від Махіра рід Махірів, а Махір породив Ґілеада, від Ґілеада рід Ґілеадів.

The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir begat Gilead; of Gilead comes the family of the Gileadites.

30 О це Ґілеадові сини: Єзер рід Єзерів, від Хелека рід Хелеків,

These are the sons of Gilead: of Jeezer, the family of the Jeezerites; of Helek, the family of the Helekites;

31 і Асріїл рід Асріїлів, і Шехем рід Шехемів,

of Asriel, the family of the Asrielites; of Shechem, the family of the Shechemites;

32 і Шеміда рід Шемідин, і Хефер рід Хеферів.

of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites; and of Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.

33 А Целофхад, син Хеферів, не мав синів, а тільки дочок. А ймення дочок: Махла й Ноа, Хоґла, Мілка й Тірца.

And Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, had no sons, but daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 О це роди Манасіїні, а їхні перелічені: п'ятдесят і дві тисячі й сімсот.

These are the families of Manasseh, and those numbered of them, fifty-two thousand seven hundred.

35 О це Єфремові сини за їхніми родами: від Шутелаха рід Шутелахів, від Бехера рід Бехерів, від Тахана рід Таханів.

These are the sons of Ephraim by their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites; of Becher, the family of the Bachrites; of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.

36 А оце Шутелахові сини: від Ерана рід Еранів.

And these are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.

37 О це роди Єфремових синів за їхнім переліченням: тридцять і дві тисячі і п'ятсот. Оце Йосипові сини за їхніми родами.

These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those numbered, thirty-two thousand five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph by their families.

38 С ини Веніяминові за їхніми родами: від Бели рід Белин, від Ашбела рід Ашбелів, від Ахірама рід Ахірамів,

The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;

39 в ід Шефуфама рід Шефуфамів, від Хуфама рід Хуфамів.

of Shupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.

40 А сини Белині були: Ард, і Нааман, від Арда рід Ардів, від Наамана рід Нааманів.

And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.

41 О це Веніяминові сини за їхніми родами, а перелічені їхні: сорок і п'ять тисяч і шістсот.

These are the sons of Benjamin by their families: and those numbered were forty-five thousand six hundred.

42 О це Данові сини за їхніми родами: від Шухама рід Шухамів. Оце Данові роди за їхніми родами.

These are the sons of Dan by their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan by their families.

43 В сі Шухамові роди за їхнім переліченням: шістдесят і чотири тисячі і чотириста.

All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those numbered, were sixty-four thousand four hundred.

44 А сирові сини за їхніми родами: від Їмни рід Їмнин, від Їшві рід Їшвіїв, від Берії рід Беріїв.

The sons of Asher after their families: of Jimna, the family of the Jimnites; of Jesui, the family of the Jesuites; of Beriah, the family of the Beriites.

45 С ини Берії: від Хевера рід Хеверів, від Малкіїла рід Малкіїлів,

Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.

46 а ймення Асирової дочки Сарах.

And the name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah.

47 О це роди Асирових синів за їхнім переліченням: п'ятдесят і три тисячі й чотириста.

These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those numbered; fifty-three thousand four hundred.

48 С ини Нефталимові за їхніми родами: від Яхцеїла рід Яхцеїлів, від Ґуні рід Ґуніїв,

Of the sons of Naphtali by their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites;

49 в ід Єцера рід Єцерів, від Шіллема рід Шіллемів.

of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.

50 О це роди Нефталимові за їхніми родами й за їхнім переліченням: сорок і п'ять тисяч і чотириста.

These are the families of Naphtali by their families; and those numbered were forty-five thousand four hundred.

51 О це перелічені Ізраїлевих синів: шістсот тисяч і тисяча й сімсот і тридцять.

These are the numbered of the sons of Israel, six hundred and one thousand seven hundred and thirty.

52 І промовив Господь до Мойсея, говорячи:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

53 Д ля цих буде поділений Край у спадок за числом імен.

Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.

54 Ч исленному примножиш спадщину його, а малому зменшиш спадок його, кожному за переліченням його буде дана спадщина його.

To those that are many thou shalt give more inheritance, and to those that are few thou shalt give less inheritance; to each one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.

55 Т ільки жеребком поділиться землю, вони будуть володіти за іменами племен їхніх батьків.

Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot; according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

56 З а жеребком буде поділена спадщина його поміж численним та малим.

According to the lot shall the inheritance be divided between those that are many and those that are few.

57 А оце перелічені Левити за їхніми родами: від Ґершона рід Ґершонів, від Кегата рід Кегатів, від Мерарі рід Мераріїв.

¶ And these are those that were numbered of the Levites by their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.

58 О це роди Левієві: рід Левіїв, рід Хевроніїв, рід Махліїв, рід Мушіїв, рід Кореїв, а Кегат породив Амрама.

These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begat Amram.

59 А ймення Амрамової жінки Йохевед, дочка Левієва, що вродила її Левієві жінка його в Єгипті, а вона вродила Амрамові Аарона, і Мойсея, і сестру їх Маріям.

And the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, daughter of Levi, whom her mother bore to Levi in Egypt: and she bore unto Amram Aaron and Moses and Miriam, their sister.

60 І вродилися Ааронові Надав, й Авігу, й Елеазар, й Ітамар.

And unto Aaron was born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

61 А Надав та Авігу померли, коли вони приносили чужий огонь перед Господнє лице.

And Nadab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before the LORD.

62 І були їхні перелічені двадцять і три тисячі, кожен чоловічої статі від місячного віку й вище; бо вони не були перелічені серед Ізраїлевих синів, не дана бо їм спадщина серед Ізраїлевих синів.

And those that were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, all males from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the sons of Israel because no inheritance was to be given them among the sons of Israel.

63 О це перелічені Мойсея та священика Елеазара, що перелічували Ізраїлевих синів у моавських степах над приєрихонським Йорданом.

¶ These are those that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar, the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho.

64 А серед тих не було вже нікого з перелічених Мойсея та священика Аарона, що перелічували Ізраїлевих синів на Сінайській пустині,

And among these there was not a man of those whom Moses and Aaron the priest had numbered when they numbered the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.

65 б о Господь був сказав їм: Конче повмираєте ви на пустині. І не позостався з них ніхто, крім Калева, сина Єфуннеєвого, та Ісуса, сина Навинового.

For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, except Caleb, the son of Jephunneh and Joshua, the son of Nun.
