1 Д авидів. До Тебе я кличу, о Господи скеле моя, не будь же безмовним до мене, бо коли Ти замовкнеш до мене, я стану подібний до тих, що сходять до гробу...

¶ Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent unto me lest, if thou be silent unto me, I become like those that go down into the grave.

2 П очуй голос благання мого, як я кличу до Тебе, коли руки свої я підношу до храму святого Твого!

Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward the oracle of thy holiness.

3 Н е хапай мене з грішними й тими, хто чинить безправство, хто плете своїм ближнім про мир, але зло в їхнім серці!

Do not catch me away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbours, but evil is in their hearts.

4 В іддай їм за їхнім учинком, і за злом їхніх учинків, згідно з ділом їхніх рук Ти їм дай, верни їм заслужене ними,

Give them according to their deeds and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render unto them their desert.

5 б о вони не вдивляються в чинність Господню й діла Його рук, нехай їх поруйнує, й нехай не будує Він їх!

Because they do not regard the works of the LORD nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them and not build them up.

6 Б лагословенний Господь, бо Він почув голос благання мого!

¶ Blessed be the LORD because he has heard the voice of my supplications.

7 Г осподь моя сила та щит мій, на нього надіялось серце моє, й Він мені допоміг, і втішилося моє серце, і співом своїм я прославлю Його!

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song I will praise him.

8 Г осподь сила народу Свого, і захист спасіння Свого помазанця!

The LORD is the strength of his people, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

9 С паси Свій народ, і поблагослови спадщину Свою, і спаси їх, і піднось їх навіки!

Save thy people and bless thine inheritance; feed them also and lift them up for ever.
