1 П салом Давидів. Господи, кличу до Тебе, поспішися до мене, почуй же мій голос, як кличу до Тебе!

¶ LORD, I have called unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

2 Н ехай стане молитва моя як кадило перед лицем Твоїм, підношення рук моїх як жертва вечірня!

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the gift of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

3 П оклади, Господи, сторожу на уста мої, стережи двері губ моїх!

Set a watch, O LORD, upon my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

4 Н е дай нахилятися серцю моєму до речі лихої, щоб учинки робити безбожністю, із людьми, що чинять переступ, і щоб не ласувався я їхніми присмаками!

Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to do works with ungodliness with the men that work iniquity, and let me not eat of their dainties.

5 Я к праведний вразить мене, то це милість, а докорить мені, це олива на голову, її не відкине моя голова, бо ще і молитва моя проти їхнього зла.

¶ Let the righteous smite me in mercy, and let him reprove me: and let not a flattering evil prince anoint my head, for my prayer shall ever be against his evil.

6 Ї хні судді по скелі розкидані, та слова мої вчують, бо приємні вони...

Their judges shall be thrown down from strong places; they shall hearken unto my words; for they are sweet.

7 Я к дрова рубають й розколюють їх на землі, так розкидані наші кістки над отвором шеолу.

Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cuts and cleaves wood upon the earth.

8 Б о до Тебе, о Господи, Владико, мої очі, на Тебе надіюсь не зруйновуй мого життя!

Therefore mine eyes look unto thee, O GOD the Lord; in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

9 Б ережи Ти від пастки мене, що на мене поставили, та від тенет переступників!

Keep me from the hands of the snare which they have laid for me, and from the snares of the workers of iniquity.

10 Х ай безбожні попадають разом до сітки своєї, а я промину!

Let the wicked fall together into their own nets, whilst I pass on ahead forever.
