1 ¶ Y aconteció después de la mortandad, que el SEÑOR habló a Moisés, y a Eleazar hijo del sacerdote Aarón, diciendo:

¶ And it came to pass after the plague that the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saying,

2 T omad la suma de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, de veinte años arriba, por las casas de sus padres, a todos los que puedan salir a la guerra en Israel.

Take the sum of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by the houses of their fathers, all that are able to go to war in Israel.

3 Y Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote hablaron con ellos en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó, diciendo:

And Moses and Eleazar, the priest, spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,

4 C ontaréis el pueblo de veinte años arriba, como mandó el SEÑOR a Moisés y a los hijos de Israel, que habían salido de tierra de Egipto.

Count the people from twenty years old and upward as the LORD commanded Moses and the sons of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt.

5 ¶ Rubén, primogénito de Israel; los hijos de Rubén: Enoc, del cual era la familia de los enoquitas; de Falú, la familia de los faluitas;

¶ Reuben, firstborn of Israel; the sons of Reuben: Enoch, of whom was the family of the Enochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

6 d e Hezrón, la familia de los hezronitas; de Carmi, la familia de los carmitas.

of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.

7 E stas son las familias de los rubenitas; y sus contados fueron cuarenta y tres mil setecientos treinta.

These are the families of the Reubenites; and those numbered were forty-three thousand seven hundred and thirty.

8 Y los hijos de Falú: Eliab.

And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.

9 Y los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, Datán, y Abiram. Estos Datán y Abiram fueron los del consejo de la congregación, que hicieron el motín contra Moisés y Aarón con la compañía de Coré, cuando se amotinaron contra el SEÑOR.

And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, who were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD.

10 Q ue la tierra abrió su boca y tragó a ellos y a Coré, cuando aquella compañía murió, cuando consumió el fuego doscientos cincuenta varones, los cuales fueron por ejemplo.

And the earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, when the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men and they became an example.

11 M as los hijos de Coré no murieron.

Notwithstanding the sons of Korah did not die.

12 L os hijos de Simeón por sus familias: de Nemuel, la familia de los nemuelitas; de Jamín, la familia de los jaminitas; de Jaquín, la familia de los jaquinitas;

The sons of Simeon by their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites;

of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites; of Saul, the family of the Shaulites.

14 E stas son las familias de los simeonitas, veintidós mil doscientos.

These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty-two thousand two hundred.

The sons of Gad by their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Haggi, the family of the Haggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;

And the sons of Judah by their families: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Pharez, the family of the Pharzites; of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites.

21 Y fueron los hijos de Fares: de Hezrón, la familia de los hezronitas; de Hamul, la familia de los hamulitas.

And the sons of Pharez: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.

22 E stas son las familias de Judá, por sus contados, setenta y seis mil quinientos.

These are the families of Judah according to those numbered, seventy-six thousand five hundred.

The sons of Issachar by their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Pua, the family of the Punites;

The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Sardites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.

These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those numbered, sixty thousand five hundred.

The sons of Joseph by their families: Manasseh and Ephraim.

29 L os hijos de Manasés: de Maquir, la familia de los maquiritas; y Maquir engendró a Galaad; de Galaad, la familia de los galaaditas.

The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir begat Gilead; of Gilead comes the family of the Gileadites.

33 Y Zelofehad, hijo de Hefer, no tuvo hijos sino hijas; y los nombres de las hijas de Zelofehad fueron Maala, y Noa, y Hogla, y Milca, y Tirsa.

And Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, had no sons, but daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 E stas son las familias de Manasés; y sus contados, cincuenta y dos mil setecientos.

These are the families of Manasseh, and those numbered of them, fifty-two thousand seven hundred.

35 E stos son los hijos de Efraín por sus familias: de Sutela, la familia de los sutelaítas; de Bequer, la familia de los bequeritas; de Tahán, la familia de los tahanitas.

These are the sons of Ephraim by their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites; of Becher, the family of the Bachrites; of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.

36 Y éstos son los hijos de Sutela: de Erán, la familia de los eranitas.

And these are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.

These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those numbered, thirty-two thousand five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph by their families.

38 L os hijos de Benjamín por sus familias: de Bela, la familia de los belaítas; de Asbel, la familia de los asbelitas; de Ahiram, la familia de los ahiramitas;

The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;

of Shupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.

40 Y los hijos de Bela fueron Ard y Naamán: de Ard, la familia de los arditas; de Naamán, la familia de los naamitas.

And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.

These are the sons of Benjamin by their families: and those numbered were forty-five thousand six hundred.

These are the sons of Dan by their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan by their families.

All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those numbered, were sixty-four thousand four hundred.

44 L os hijos de Aser por sus familias: de Imna, la familia de los imnitas; de Isúi, la familia de los isuitas; de Bería, la familia de los beriaítas.

The sons of Asher after their families: of Jimna, the family of the Jimnites; of Jesui, the family of the Jesuites; of Beriah, the family of the Beriites.

45 L os hijos de Bería: de Heber, la familia de los heberitas; de Malquiel, la familia de los malquielitas.

Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.

46 Y el nombre de la hija de Aser fue Sera.

And the name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah.

51 E stos son los contados de los hijos de Israel, seiscientos un mil setecientos treinta.

These are the numbered of the sons of Israel, six hundred and one thousand seven hundred and thirty.

52 ¶ Y habló el SEÑOR a Moisés, diciendo:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

53 A éstos se repartirá la tierra en heredad, por la cuenta de los nombres.

Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.

54 A las más numerosas darás mayor heredad, y a las menos numerosas menor; y a cada una se le dará su heredad conforme a sus contados.

To those that are many thou shalt give more inheritance, and to those that are few thou shalt give less inheritance; to each one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.

55 P ero la tierra será repartida por suerte; y por los nombres de las tribus de sus padres heredarán.

Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot; according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

56 C onforme a la suerte será repartida su heredad entre el grande y el pequeño.

According to the lot shall the inheritance be divided between those that are many and those that are few.

57 ¶ Y los contados de los levitas por sus familias son éstos: de Gersón, la familia de los gersonitas; de Coat, la familia de los coatitas; de Merari, la familia de los meraritas.

¶ And these are those that were numbered of the Levites by their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.

58 E stas son las familias de los levitas: la familia de los libnitas, la familia de los hebronitas, la familia de los mahlitas, la familia de los musitas, la familia de los coreítas. Y Coat engendró a Amram.

These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begat Amram.

59 Y la mujer de Amram se llamó Jocabed, hija de Leví, la cual le nació a Leví en Egipto: ésta dio a luz de Amram a Aarón y a Moisés, y a María su hermana.

And the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, daughter of Levi, whom her mother bore to Levi in Egypt: and she bore unto Amram Aaron and Moses and Miriam, their sister.

60 Y de Aarón nacieron Nadab y Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

And unto Aaron was born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

61 M as Nadab y Abiú murieron, cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante del SEÑOR.

And Nadab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before the LORD.

62 Y sus contados fueron veintitrés mil, todos varones de un mes arriba; porque no fueron contados entre los hijos de Israel, por cuanto no les había de ser dada heredad entre los hijos de Israel.

And those that were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, all males from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the sons of Israel because no inheritance was to be given them among the sons of Israel.

63 ¶ Estos son los contados por Moisés y Eleazar el sacerdote, los cuales contaron los hijos de Israel en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán de Jericó.

¶ These are those that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar, the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho.

64 Y entre éstos ninguno hubo de los contados por Moisés y Aarón el sacerdote, los cuales contaron a los hijos de Israel en el desierto de Sinaí.

And among these there was not a man of those whom Moses and Aaron the priest had numbered when they numbered the sons of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.

65 P orque el SEÑOR les dijo: Ciertamente morirán en el desierto; y no quedó varón de ellos, sino Caleb hijo de Jefone, y Josué hijo de Nun.

For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, except Caleb, the son of Jephunneh and Joshua, the son of Nun.
