1 Y me torné, y alcé mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí un rollo que volaba.

¶ Then I turned and lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold a flying roll.

2 Y me dijo: ¿Qué ves? Y respondí: Veo un rollo que vuela, de veinte codos de largo, y diez codos de ancho.

And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.

3 M e dijo entonces: Esta es la maldición que sale sobre la faz de toda la tierra; porque todo aquel que hurta, (como está de un lado del rollo ) será destruido; y todo aquel que jura, (como está del otro lado del rollo ) será destruido.

Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth; for every one that steals (as it is written on one side of the roll) shall be destroyed; and every one that swears (as it is written on the other side of the roll) shall be destroyed.

4 Y o la saqué, dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, y vendrá a la casa del ladrón, y a la casa del que jura falsamente en mi nombre; y permanecerá en medio de su casa, y la consumirá, con sus enmaderamientos y sus piedras.

I brought it forth, said the LORD of the hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief and into the house of him that swears falsely by my name; and it shall remain in the midst of his house and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

5 Y salió aquel ángel que hablaba conmigo, y me dijo: Alza ahora tus ojos, y mira qué es esto que sale.

¶ Then the angel that talked with me went forth and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes and see what is this that goes forth.

6 Y dije: ¿Qué es? Y él dijo: Esto es un efa de medir trigo que sale. Además dijo: Esta es la apariencia de ellos en toda la tierra.

And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah to measure wheat that goes forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance in all the earth.

7 Y he aquí, levantaron un talento de plomo, y una mujer estaba sentada en medio de aquel efa.

And, behold, they lifted up a talent of lead, and a woman was sitting in the midst of that ephah.

8 Y él dijo: Esta es la maldad; y la echó dentro del efa, y echó la masa de plomo en su boca.

And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast her into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

9 A lcé luego mis ojos, y miré, y he aquí dos mujeres que salían, y traían viento en sus alas, y tenían alas como de cigüeña, y alzaron el efa entre la tierra y los cielos.

Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

10 Y dije a aquel ángel que hablaba conmigo: ¿A dónde llevan éstas el efa?

Then I said to the angel that talked with me, Where do these bear the ephah?

11 Y él me respondió: Para que le sea edificada casa en tierra de Sinar; y será asentado y puesto allá sobre su asiento.

And he said unto me, To build it a house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.
