1 D e doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalén cincuenta y cinco años; el nombre de su madre fue Hepsiba.

¶ Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign and reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzibah.

2 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos del SEÑOR, según las abominaciones de los gentiles que el SEÑOR había echado delante de los hijos de Israel.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the Gentiles, whom the LORD cast out before the sons of Israel.

3 P orque él volvió a edificar los lugares altos que Ezequías su padre había derribado, y levantó altares a Baal, e hizo bosque, como había hecho Acab rey de Israel; y adoró a todo el ejército del cielo, y sirvió a aquellas cosas.

For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah, his father, had destroyed, and he raised up altars for Baal and made a grove, as Ahab, king of Israel, had done; and he worshipped all the host of heaven and served those things.

4 A simismo edificó altares en la Casa del SEÑOR, de la cual el SEÑOR había dicho: Yo pondré mi nombre en Jerusalén.

Likewise, he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, In Jerusalem I will put my name.

5 Y edificó altares para todo el ejército del cielo en los dos atrios de la casa del SEÑOR.

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.

6 Y pasó a su hijo por fuego, y miró en tiempos, y fue agorero, e instituyó espiritistas y adivinos, y multiplicó a hacer lo malo en ojos del SEÑOR, para provocarlo a ira.

And he made his son pass through the fire and observed times and used enchantments and dealt with spiritists and diviners and multiplied much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

7 Y puso una entalladura del bosque que él había hecho, en la Casa de la cual había el SEÑOR dicho a David y a Salomón su hijo: Yo pondré mi nombre perpetuamente en esta Casa, y en Jerusalén, a la cual escogí de todas las tribus de Israel;

And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD had said to David and to Solomon, his son, In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever;

8 y no volveré a hacer que el pie de Israel sea movido de la tierra que di a sus padres, con tal que guarden y hagan conforme a todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, y conforme a toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés les mandó.

neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers, only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them and according to all the law that my slave Moses commanded them.

9 M as ellos no escucharon; y Manasés los hizo errar a que hicieran más mal que los gentiles que el SEÑOR rayó de delante de los hijos de Israel.

But they did not hearken, and Manasseh caused them to err and to do more evil than did the Gentiles whom the LORD destroyed before the sons of Israel.

10 ¶ Y habló el SEÑOR por mano de sus siervos los profetas, diciendo:

¶ And the LORD spoke by his slaves, the prophets, saying,

11 P or cuanto Manasés rey de Judá ha hecho estas abominaciones, y ha hecho más mal que todo lo que hicieron los amorreos que fueron antes de él, y también ha hecho pecar a Judá con sus ídolos;

Because Manasseh, king of Judah, has done these abominations and has done more evil than all that the Amorites did, who were before him and has also made Judah sin with his idols;

12 p or tanto, así dice el SEÑOR Dios de Israel: He aquí yo traigo tal mal sobre Jerusalén y sobre Judá, que el que lo oyere, le retiñirán ambos oídos.

therefore, thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears shall tingle.

13 Y extenderé sobre Jerusalén el cordel de Samaria, y el plomo de la casa de Acab; y yo limpiaré a Jerusalén como se limpia un vaso, que después que lo han limpiado, lo vuelven sobre su faz.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab; and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

14 Y desampararé el remanente de mi heredad, y las entregaré en manos de sus enemigos; y serán para presa y para despojo a todos sus adversarios;

And I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies, and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies

15 p or cuanto han hecho lo malo ante mis ojos, y me han provocado a ira, desde el día que sus padres salieron de Egipto hasta hoy.

because they have done that which was evil in my sight and have provoked me to anger since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.

16 F uera de esto, derramó Manasés mucha sangre inocente en gran manera, hasta llenar a Jerusalén de extremo a extremo, además de su pecado con que hizo pecar a Judá, para que hiciera lo malo ante los ojos del SEÑOR.

Moreover, Manasseh shed innocent blood very much until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another besides his sin with which he made Judah sin so that they would do that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

17 L os demás hechos de Manasés, y todas las cosas que hizo, y su pecado que cometió, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh and all that he did and his sin with which he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

18 ¶ Y durmió Manasés con sus padres, y fue sepultado en el huerto de su casa, en el huerto de Uza; y reinó en su lugar Amón su hijo.

And Manasseh slept with his fathers and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza; and Amon his son reigned in his stead.

19 D e veintidós años era Amón cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dos años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Mesulemet hija de Haruz de Jotba.

¶ Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.

20 E hizo lo malo ante los ojos del SEÑOR, como había hecho Manasés su padre.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh had done.

21 Y anduvo en todos los caminos en que su padre anduvo, y sirvió a los ídolos a los cuales había servido su padre, y a ellos adoró;

And he walked in all the way that his father walked in and served the idols that his father had served and worshipped them;

22 y dejó al SEÑOR Dios de sus padres, y no anduvo en el camino del SEÑOR.

and he forsook the LORD God of his fathers and did not walk in the way of the LORD.

23 Y los siervos de Amón conspiraron contra él, y mataron al rey en su casa.

And the slaves of Amon conspired against him and slew the king in his own house.

24 E ntonces el pueblo de la tierra hirió a todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón; y puso el pueblo de la tierra por rey en su lugar a Josías su hijo.

Then the people of the land slew all those that had conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made Josiah, his son, king in his stead.

25 L os demás hechos de Amón, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

26 Y fue sepultado en su sepulcro en el huerto de Uza, y reinó en su lugar Josías su hijo.

And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza, and Josiah, his son, reigned in his stead.
