1 ¶ Pablo, y Silvano, y Timoteo, a la Iglesia de los tesalonicenses congregada en Dios nuestro Padre y en el Señor nuestro, Jesús el Cristo:

¶ Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, unto the congregation of the Thessalonians in God our Father and in our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 G racia y paz tengáis de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesús el Cristo.

Grace unto you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 D ebemos siempre dar gracias a Dios por vosotros, hermanos, como es digno, por cuanto vuestra fe va creciendo, y la caridad de todos y cada uno de vosotros abunda entre vosotros;

We must thank God always for you, brethren, as is due because your faith grows exceedingly, and the charity of each and every one of you toward each other abounds,

4 t anto, que nosotros mismos nos gloriamos de vosotros en las Iglesias de Dios, de vuestra paciencia y fe en todas vuestras persecuciones y tribulaciones que sufrís;

so that we ourselves glory in you in the congregations of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure and

5 ¶ en testimonio del justo juicio de Dios, para que seáis tenidos por dignos del Reino de Dios, por el cual asimismo padecéis.

¶ in testimony of the just judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer,

6 P orque es justo acerca de Dios pagar con tribulación a los que os atribulan;

seeing it is a just thing with God to recompense tribulation to those that trouble you

7 y a vosotros, que sois atribulados, daros reposo con nosotros, cuando se manifieste el Señor Jesús del cielo con los ángeles de su potencia,

and to give you, who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with the angels of his power,

8 c on llama de fuego, para dar el pago a los que no conocieron a Dios, ni obedecen al Evangelio del Señor nuestro, Jesús el Cristo;

with flaming fire, to take vengeance on those that do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,

9 l os cuales serán castigados de eterna perdición por la presencia del Señor, y por la gloria de su potencia,

who shall be punished with eternal destruction by the presence of the Lord and by the glory of his power,

10 c uando viniere para ser glorificado en sus santos, y a hacerse admirable en aquel día en todos los que creyeron (por cuanto nuestro testimonio ha sido creído entre vosotros);

when he shall come to be glorified in his saints and to be admired in all those that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

11 ¶ por lo cual, asimismo oramos siempre por vosotros, que nuestro Dios os tenga por dignos de su llamado, y llene de bondad a cada voluntad, y a toda obra de fe con potencia,

¶ Therefore in this manner we pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of his calling and fill each will with goodness and the work of faith with power

12 p ara que el Nombre del Señor nuestro, Jesús el Cristo sea clarificado en vosotros, y vosotros en él, por la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesús el Cristo.

that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be clarified in you, and ye in him, by the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
