1 ¶ Y éstas son las generaciones de Aarón y de Moisés, desde que el SEÑOR habló a Moisés en el monte de Sinaí.

¶ These also are the generations of Aaron and of Moses in the day that the LORD spoke with Moses in Mount Sinai.

2 Y éstos son los nombres de los hijos de Aarón: Nadab el primogénito, y Abiú; Eleazar, e Itamar.

And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab, the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

3 E stos son los nombres de los hijos de Aarón, sacerdotes ungidos; cuyas manos él llenó para administrar el sacerdocio.

These are the names of the sons of Aaron, anointed priests, whose hands he filled to administer the priesthood.

4 M as Nadab y Abiú murieron delante del SEÑOR, cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante del SEÑOR, en el desierto de Sinaí; y no tuvieron hijos; y Eleazar e Itamar ejercieron el sacerdocio delante de Aarón su padre.

But Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no sons; and Eleazar and Ithamar exercised the priesthood in the sight of Aaron, their father.

5 Y el SEÑOR habló a Moisés, diciendo:

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

6 H az venir a la tribu de Leví, y hazla estar delante del sacerdote Aarón, para que le ministren;

Bring the tribe of Levi near and present them before Aaron, the priest, that they may minister unto him.

7 y guarden el mandamiento de él, y el mandamiento de toda la congregación delante del tabernáculo del testimonio, para que ministren en el servicio del tabernáculo;

And they shall keep his commandment and the commandment of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the testimony, to minister in the service of the tabernacle.

8 y guarden todos los utensilios del tabernáculo del testimonio, y la guarda de los hijos de Israel, y ministren en el servicio del tabernáculo.

And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the testimony and the charge of the sons of Israel, to minister in the service of the tabernacle.

9 Y darás los levitas a Aarón y a sus hijos; le son enteramente dados de entre los hijos de Israel.

And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons; they are completely given unto him out of the sons of Israel.

10 Y constituirás a Aarón y a sus hijos, para que guarden su sacerdocio; y el extraño que se acercare, morirá.

And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons that they shall guard their priesthood; and the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.

11 H abló además el SEÑOR a Moisés, diciendo:

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

12 H e aquí yo he tomado los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel en lugar de todos los primogénitos que abren la matriz entre los hijos de Israel; serán, pues, míos los levitas;

Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the sons of Israel instead of all the firstborn that open the womb among the sons of Israel; therefore the Levites shall be mine;

13 p orque mío es todo primogénito; desde el día que yo maté todos los primogénitos en la tierra de Egipto, yo santifiqué para mí a todos los primogénitos en Israel, así de hombres como de animales; míos serán. Yo soy el SEÑOR.

because all the firstborn are mine; from the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both of men and of animals; they shall be mine: I am the LORD.

14 ¶ También habló el SEÑOR a Moisés en el desierto de Sinaí, diciendo:

¶ The LORD also spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,

15 C uenta los hijos de Leví por las casas de sus padres, por sus familias; contarás todos los varones de un mes arriba.

Number the sons of Levi by the houses of their fathers, by their families; thou shalt number every male from a month old and upward.

16 Y Moisés los contó conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR, como le fue mandado.

And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.

17 Y los hijos de Leví fueron éstos por sus nombres: Gersón, y Coat, y Merari.

And these were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon and Kohath and Merari.

18 Y los nombres de los hijos de Gersón, por sus familias, éstos: Libni, y Simei.

And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.

19 Y los hijos de Coat, por sus familias: Amram, e Izhar, y Hebrón, y Uziel.

And the sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

20 Y los hijos de Merari, por sus familias: Mahli, y Musi. Estas son las familias de Leví, por las casas de sus padres.

And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to the houses of their fathers.

21 D e Gersón, la familia de Libni y la de Simei; éstas son las familias de Gersón.

Of Gershon was the family of Libni and the family of Shimei; these are the families of Gershon.

22 L os contados de ellos, conforme a la cuenta de todos los varones de un mes arriba, los contados de ellos fueron siete mil quinientos.

Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, those that were numbered of them were seven thousand five hundred.

23 L as familias de Gersón asentarán sus tiendas a espaldas del tabernáculo, al occidente;

The families of Gershon shall pitch behind the tabernacle to the west;

24 y el príncipe de la casa del padre de los gersonitas, Eliasaf hijo de Lael.

and the prince of the house of the father of the Gershonites, Eliasaph, son of Lael.

25 L a guarda de los hijos de Gersón, en el tabernáculo del testimonio, será el tabernáculo, y la tienda, y su cubierta, y el pabellón de la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio,

And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the testimony shall be the tabernacle and the tent, the covering thereof, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the testimony,

26 y las cortinas del atrio, y el pabellón de la puerta del atrio, que está junto al tabernáculo y junto al altar alrededor; asimismo sus cuerdas para todo su servicio.

and the hangings of the court and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.

27 Y de Coat, la familia de Amram, y la familia de Izhar, y la familia de Hebrón, y la familia de Uziel; éstas son las familias coatitas.

And of Kohath was the family of Amram and the family of Izehar and the family of Hebron and the family of Uzziel; these are the families of the Kohathites.

28 P or la cuenta de todos los varones de un mes arriba, eran ocho mil seiscientos, que tenían la guarda del santuario.

In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were eight thousand six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.

29 L as familias de los hijos de Coat acamparán al lado del tabernáculo, al mediodía;

The families of the sons of Kohath shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle towards the Negev;

30 y el príncipe de la casa del padre de las familias de Coat, Elizafán hijo de Uziel.

and the prince of the house of the father of the families of Kohath, Elizaphan, son of Uzziel.

31 Y a cargo de ellos estará el arca, y la mesa, y el candelero, y los altares, y los vasos del santuario con que ministran, y el velo, con todo su servicio.

And their charge shall be the ark and the table and the lampstand and the altars and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the veil, with all its service.

32 Y el principal de los príncipes de los levitas será Eleazar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote, prepósito de los que tienen la guarda del santuario.

And Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, shall be principal over the princes of the Levites and have the oversight of those that keep the charge of the sanctuary.

33 D e Merari, la familia Mahli y la familia de Musi; éstas son las familias de Merari.

Of Merari was the family of Mahli and the family of Mushi; these are the families of Merari.

34 Y los contados de ellos, conforme a la cuenta de todos los varones de un mes arriba, fueron seis mil doscientos;

And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand two hundred;

35 y el príncipe de la casa del padre de las familias de Merari, Zuriel hijo de Abihail; acamparán al lado del tabernáculo, al aquilón.

and the prince of the house of the father of the families of Merari, Zuriel the son of Abihail: these shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle to the Aquilon.

36 Y a cargo de los hijos de Merari estará la custodia de las tablas del tabernáculo, y sus barras, y sus columnas, y sus basas, y todos sus utensilios, con todo su servicio;

And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle and the bars thereof and the pillars thereof and the sockets thereof and all the instruments thereof, with all its service,

37 y las columnas en derredor del atrio, y sus basas, y sus estacas, y sus cuerdas.

and the pillars of the court round about and their sockets and their stakes and their cords.

38 Y los que acamparán delante del tabernáculo al oriente, delante del tabernáculo del testimonio al levante, serán Moisés, y Aarón y sus hijos, teniendo la guarda del santuario por la guarda de los hijos de Israel; y el extraño que se acercare, morirá.

And those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, before the tabernacle of the testimony towards the sunrise, shall be Moses and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the sons of Israel; and the stranger that comes near shall be put to death.

39 T odos los contados de los levitas, que Moisés y Aarón conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR contaron por sus familias, todos los varones de un mes arriba, fueron veintidós mil.

All that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron, according to the word of the LORD, numbered by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty-two thousand.

40 ¶ Y el SEÑOR dijo a Moisés: Cuenta todos los primogénitos varones de los hijos de Israel de un mes arriba, y toma la cuenta de los nombres de ellos.

¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Number all the firstborn of the males of the sons of Israel from a month old and upward and take the number of their names.

41 Y tomarás a los levitas para mí, (yo soy el SEÑOR), en lugar de todos los primogénitos de los hijos de Israel; y los animales de los levitas en lugar de todos los primogénitos de los animales de los hijos de Israel.

And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the firstborn among the sons of Israel and the animals of the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the animals of the sons of Israel.

42 Y contó Moisés, como el SEÑOR le mandó, todos los primogénitos de los hijos de Israel.

And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the firstborn among the sons of Israel.

43 Y todos los primogénitos varones, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres, de un mes arriba, conforme a su cuenta fueron veintidós mil doscientos setenta y tres.

And all the firstborn males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty-two thousand two hundred seventy-three.

44 ¶ Y habló el SEÑOR a Moisés, diciendo:

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

45 T oma los levitas en lugar de todos los primogénitos de los hijos de Israel, y los animales de los levitas en lugar de sus animales; y los levitas serán míos. Yo soy el SEÑOR.

Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the sons of Israel and the animals of the Levites instead of their animals, and the Levites shall be mine; I am the LORD.

46 Y por los rescates de los doscientos setenta y tres de los primogénitos de los hijos de Israel que exceden a los levitas;

And for the ransoms of the two hundred seventy-three of the firstborn of the sons of Israel, who are more than the Levites,

47 t omarás cinco siclos por cabeza; conforme al siclo del santuario tomarás. (El siclo tiene veinte geras.)

thou shalt take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them (the shekel is of twenty gerahs).

48 Y darás a Aarón y a sus hijos el dinero por los rescates de los que de ellos exceden.

And thou shalt give the money, of the ransoms of the odd number of them, unto Aaron and to his sons.

49 T omó, pues, Moisés el dinero del rescate de los que excedían el número de los redimidos por los levitas;

And Moses took the ransom money of those that were over and above the ones that were redeemed by the Levites

50 y recibió de los primogénitos de los hijos de Israel, en dinero, mil trescientos sesenta y cinco siclos, conforme al siclo del santuario.

and received of the firstborn of the sons of Israel, in money, a thousand three hundred and sixty-five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

51 Y Moisés dio el dinero de los rescates a Aarón y a sus hijos, conforme al dicho del SEÑOR, de la manera que el SEÑOR había mandado a Moisés.

And Moses gave the money of the ransoms unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
