1 ¶ Y los hijos de Aarón, Nadab y Abiú, tomaron cada uno su incensario, y pusieron fuego en ellos, sobre el cual pusieron perfume, y ofrecieron delante del SEÑOR fuego extraño, que él nunca les mandó.

¶ And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each of them his censer and put fire therein and put incense thereon and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he had never commanded them.

2 Y salió fuego de la presencia del SEÑOR que los quemó, y murieron delante del SEÑOR.

And there went out fire from the LORD and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

3 ¶ Entonces dijo Moisés a Aarón: Esto es lo que habló el SEÑOR, diciendo: En los que a mí se acercan me santificaré, y en presencia de todo el pueblo seré glorificado. Y Aarón calló.

¶ Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is what the LORD spoke, saying, I will be sanctified in those that come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron was silent.

4 Y llamó Moisés a Misael, y a Elzafán, hijos de Uziel, tío de Aarón, y les dijo; acercaos y sacad a vuestros hermanos de delante del santuario fuera del campamento.

And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

5 Y ellos se acercaron, y los sacaron en sus túnicas fuera del campamento, como dijo Moisés.

So they went near and carried them in their coats out of the camp, as Moses had said.

6 E ntonces Moisés dijo a Aarón, y a Eleazar y a Itamar, sus hijos: No descubráis vuestras cabezas, ni rasguéis vuestros vestidos, para que no muráis, ni se levante la ira sobre toda la congregación; pero vuestros hermanos, toda la Casa de Israel, lamentarán por el incendio que el SEÑOR ha hecho.

Then Moses said unto Aaron and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Do not uncover your heads, neither rend your clothes lest ye die and lest wrath come upon the whole congregation; but your brethren, the whole house of Israel, shall lament the burning which the LORD has done.

7 N i saldréis de la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio, porque moriréis; por cuanto el aceite de la unción del SEÑOR está sobre vosotros. Y ellos hicieron conforme al dicho de Moisés.

And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, lest ye die; for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.

8 ¶ El SEÑOR habló a Aarón, diciendo:

¶ And the LORD spoke unto Aaron, saying,

9 T ú, y tus hijos contigo, no beberéis vino ni sidra, cuando hubiereis de entrar en el tabernáculo del testimonio, para que no muráis; será estatuto perpetuo por vuestras generaciones;

Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee when ye go into the tabernacle of the testimony, lest ye die; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations;

10 y esto para poder discernir entre lo santo y lo profano, y entre lo inmundo y lo limpio;

and this is that ye may discern between the holy and the profane and between the unclean and the clean

11 y para enseñar a los hijos de Israel todos los estatutos que el SEÑOR les ha dicho por mano de Moisés.

and that ye may teach the sons of Israel all the statutes which the LORD has spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

12 ¶ Y Moisés dijo a Aarón, y a Eleazar y a Itamar, sus hijos que le quedaban: Tomad el presente que queda de las ofrendas encendidas al SEÑOR, y comedlo sin levadura junto al altar, porque es cosa santísima.

¶ And Moses spoke unto Aaron and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the present that remains of the offerings on fire unto the LORD and eat it without leaven beside the altar; for it is most holy:

13 H abéis, pues, de comerlo en el lugar santo; porque esto será fuero para ti, y fuero para tus hijos, de las ofrendas encendidas al SEÑOR, pues que así me ha sido mandado.

Ye must, therefore, eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due and thy sons’ due of the offerings of the LORD on fire; for so I am commanded.

14 C omeréis asimismo en lugar limpio, tú y tus hijos y tus hijas contigo, el pecho de la mecida, y la espaldilla elevada, porque por fuero para ti, y fuero para tus hijos, son dados de los sacrificios de la paz de los hijos de Israel.

And the waved breast and elevated shoulder shall ye likewise eat in a clean place, thou and thy sons and thy daughters with thee; for they are thy due and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of the peace of the sons of Israel.

15 C on las ofrendas de los sebos que se han de encender, traerán la espaldilla que se ha de elevar, y el pecho que será mecido, para que lo mezas por ofrenda de mecedura delante del SEÑOR; y será por fuero perpetuo tuyo, y de tus hijos contigo, como el SEÑOR lo ha mandado.

With the offerings of the fat which are to be lit on fire, they shall bring the shoulder which is to be elevated and the breast which shall be waved as a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine and thy sons’ with thee by a perpetual statute, as the LORD has commanded.

16 Y Moisés demandó el macho cabrío del pecado, y se halló que era quemado; y se enojó contra Eleazar e Itamar, los hijos de Aarón que habían quedado, diciendo:

And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin, and, behold, it was burnt up, and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron who were left alive, saying,

17 ¿ Por qué no comisteis de la expiación del pecado en el lugar santo? Porque es santísimo, y la dio él a vosotros para llevar la iniquidad de la congregación, para que sean reconciliados delante del SEÑOR.

Why have ye not eaten of the atonement for sin in the holy place? For it is most holy, and God has given it to you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, that they may be reconciled before the LORD.

18 V eis que su sangre no fue metida en el santuario de adentro; habíais de comerla en el lugar santo, como yo mandé.

Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the inner sanctuary; ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.

19 Y respondió Aarón a Moisés: He aquí hoy han ofrecido su pecado y su holocausto delante del SEÑOR; con todo eso me han acontecido estas cosas; pues si comiera yo hoy de la expiación del pecado, ¿Hubiera sido acepto al SEÑOR?

And Aaron replied unto Moses, Behold, today they have offered their sin and their burnt offering before the LORD; with all this, these things have befallen me; therefore if I had eaten of the atonement for sin today, would it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?

20 Y Moisés oyó esto, y lo aceptó.

And when Moses heard that, he was content.
