1 ¶ Estos son los estatutos y derechos que guardaréis para hacer en la tierra que el SEÑOR el Dios de tus padres te ha dado para que la heredes, todos los días que vosotros viviereis sobre la tierra.

¶ These are the statutes and rights which ye shall keep to do them in the land which the LORD God of thy fathers gives thee to inherit all the days that ye live upon the land.

2 D estruiréis enteramente todos los lugares donde los gentiles de quienes vosotros heredaréis sirvieron a sus dioses, sobre los montes altos, y sobre los collados, y debajo de todo árbol espeso;

Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, upon which the Gentiles, of whom ye shall inherit, served their gods, upon the high mountains and upon the hills and under every green tree;

3 y derribaréis sus altares, y quebraréis sus imágenes, y sus bosques consumiréis con fuego; y destruiréis las esculturas de sus dioses, y raeréis el nombre de ellas de aquel lugar.

and ye shall overthrow their altars and break their images and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the statues of their gods and destroy the names of them out of that place.

4 N o haréis así al SEÑOR vuestro Dios.

Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.

5 ¶ Mas el lugar que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios escogiere de todas vuestras tribus, para poner allí su nombre para su habitación, ese buscaréis, y allá iréis.

¶ But ye shall seek the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there for his habitation, and thou shalt go there.

6 Y allí llevaréis vuestros holocaustos, y vuestros sacrificios, y vuestros diezmos, y la ofrenda de vuestras manos, y vuestras promesas, y vuestras ofrendas voluntarias, y los primerizos de vuestras vacas y de vuestras ovejas;

And there ye shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices and your tithes and the offerings of your hand and your vows and your freewill offerings and the firstborn of your cows and of your sheep;

7 y comeréis allí delante del SEÑOR vuestro Dios, y os alegraréis, vosotros y vuestras familias, en toda obra de vuestras manos en que el SEÑOR tu Dios te hubiere bendecido.

and there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye and your households shall rejoice in every work of your hands in which the LORD thy God has blessed thee.

8 N o haréis como todo lo que nosotros hacemos aquí ahora, cada uno lo que bien le parece,

Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, each man doing what seems right in his own eyes,

9 p orque aún hasta ahora no habéis entrado al reposo y a la heredad que os da el SEÑOR vuestro Dios.

For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God gives you.

10 M as pasaréis el Jordán, y habitaréis en la tierra que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios os hace heredar, y él os dará reposo de todos vuestros enemigos alrededor, y habitaréis seguros.

But when ye pass the Jordan and dwell in the land which the LORD your God gives you to inherit and when he gives you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety,

11 E ntonces, habrá un lugar que el SEÑOR vuestro Dios escogiere para hacer habitar en él su nombre; allí llevaréis todas las cosas que yo os mando: vuestros holocaustos, y vuestros sacrificios, vuestros diezmos, y las ofrendas de vuestras manos, y toda elección de vuestros votos que hubiereis prometido al SEÑOR;

then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; there shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the offerings of your hand and all your choice of vows which ye vow unto the LORD;

12 y os alegraréis delante del SEÑOR vuestro Dios, vosotros, y vuestros hijos, y vuestras hijas, y vuestros siervos, y vuestras siervas, y el levita que estuviere en vuestras puertas; por cuanto no tiene parte ni heredad con vosotros.

and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye and your sons and your daughters and your menslaves and your maidslaves and the Levite that is within your gates because he has no part nor inheritance with you.

13 G uárdate, que no ofrezcas tus holocaustos en cualquier lugar que vieres;

Keep thyself that thou not offer thy burnt offerings in any place that thou seest

14 s ino en el lugar que el SEÑOR escogiere, en una de tus tribus, allí ofrecerás tus holocaustos, y allí harás todo lo que yo te mando.

but in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes; there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

15 C on todo, podrás matar y comer carne en todas tus poblaciones conforme al deseo de tu alma, según la bendición del SEÑOR tu Dios que él te habrá dado; el inmundo y el limpio la comerá, como la de corzo o de ciervo.

Notwithstanding, thou may kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, according to the desire of thy soul, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he has given thee; the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck and as of the hart.

16 S alvo que sangre no comeréis; sobre la tierra la derramaréis como agua.

Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.

17 N i podrás comer en tus poblaciones el diezmo de tu grano, o de tu vino, o de tu aceite, ni los primerizos de tus vacas, ni de tus ovejas, ni tus votos que prometieres, ni tus ofrendas voluntarias, ni las ofrendas elevadas de tus manos.

Thou may not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy grain or of thy wine or of thy oil or the firstborn of thy cows or of thy sheep nor any of thy vows which thou hast promised nor thy freewill offerings or the heave offerings of thy hands.

18 M as delante del SEÑOR tu Dios las comerás, en el lugar que el SEÑOR tu Dios hubiere escogido, tú, y tu hijo, y tu hija, y tu siervo, y tu sierva, y el levita que está en tus poblaciones; y te alegrarás delante del SEÑOR tu Dios en toda obra de tus manos.

But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall have chosen, thou and thy son and thy daughter and thy manslave and thy maidslave and the Levite that is within thy gates; and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all the work of thy hands.

19 G uárdate de no desamparar al levita en todos tus días sobre tu tierra.

Keep thyself that thou not forsake the Levite in all thy days upon thy land.

20 C uando el SEÑOR tu Dios ensanchare tu término, como él te ha dicho, y tú dijeres: Comeré carne, porque deseó tu alma comerla, conforme a todo el deseo de tu alma comerás carne.

When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he has promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul desires to eat flesh, according to all the desire of thy soul thou shalt eat flesh.

21 C uando estuviere lejos de ti el lugar que el SEÑOR tu Dios habrá escogido, para poner allí su nombre, matarás de tus vacas y de tus ovejas, que el SEÑOR te hubiere dado, como te he mandado yo, y comerás en tus puertas según todo lo que deseare tu alma.

When the place which the LORD thy God shall have chosen to put his name there is far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy cows and of thy sheep, which the LORD has given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates according to all thy soul desires.

22 L o mismo que se come el corzo y el ciervo, así las comerás; el inmundo y el limpio comerán también de ellas.

Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them; the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.

23 S olamente que te esfuerces en no comer sangre; porque la sangre es el alma (o la vida); y no has de comer el alma juntamente con su carne.

Only be sure not to eat the blood; for the blood is the soul (or the life), and thou art not to eat the soul with its flesh.

24 N o la comerás; en tierra la derramarás como agua.

Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.

25 N o comerás de ella; para que te vaya bien a ti, y a tus hijos después de ti, cuando hicieres lo recto ante los ojos del SEÑOR.

Thou shalt not eat it that it may go well with thee and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.

26 P ero las cosas que tuvieres tú consagradas, y tus votos, las tomarás, y vendrás al lugar que el SEÑOR hubiere escogido;

But the things which thou hast consecrated and thy vows, thou shalt take and go unto the place which the LORD shall have chosen,

27 y ofrecerás tus holocaustos, la carne y la sangre, sobre el altar del SEÑOR tu Dios; y la sangre de tus sacrificios será derramada sobre el altar del SEÑOR tu Dios, y comerás la carne.

and thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.

28 G uarda y escucha todas estas palabras que yo te mando, para que te vaya bien a ti y a tus hijos después de ti para siempre, cuando hiciereis lo bueno y lo recto ante los ojos del SEÑOR tu Dios.

Keep and hear all these words which I command thee that it may go well with thee and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.

29 C uando hubiere talado delante de ti el SEÑOR tu Dios los gentiles adonde tú vas para heredarlos, y los heredares, y habitaréis en su tierra,

When the LORD thy God shall have cut off the Gentiles from before thee, in the place where thou goest to inherit of them, and thou dost inherit of them and dost dwell in their land,

30 g uárdate que no tropieces en pos de ellos, después que fueren destruidos delante de ti; no preguntes acerca de sus dioses, diciendo: De la manera que servían aquellos gentiles a sus dioses, así haré yo también.

keep thyself from being snared by following them, after they are destroyed from before thee; enquire not after their gods, saying, After the manner that these Gentiles served their gods, even so will I do likewise.

31 N o harás así al SEÑOR tu Dios; porque todo lo que el SEÑOR aborrece, hicieron ellos a sus dioses; pues aun a sus hijos e hijas quemaban en el fuego a sus dioses.

Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God; for every abomination unto the LORD, which he hates, they have done unto their gods; for they have even burnt their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.

32 G uardaréis de hacer todo lo que yo os mando; no añadirás a ello, ni quitarás de ello.

Keep thyself, and do all that I command you; thou shalt not add to it nor diminish from it.
