2 B et: Amargamente llora en la noche, y sus lágrimas están en sus mejillas; no tiene quien la consuele de todos sus amadores; todos sus amigos le faltaron, se le volvieron enemigos.

Beth She weeps sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has none to comfort her; all her friends have dealt treacherously with her; they are become her enemies.

3 G uímel: Se fue Judá en cautiverio, a causa de la aflicción y de la grandeza de servidumbre. Ella mora entre los gentiles, y no halla descanso. Todos sus perseguidores la alcanzaron entre estrechuras.

Gimel Judah is gone into captivity because of the affliction and because of the greatness of the servitude; she dwells among the Gentiles; she finds no rest; all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.

4 D álet: Las calzadas de Sion tienen luto, porque no hay quien venga a las solemnidades; todas sus puertas están asoladas, sus sacerdotes gimen, sus vírgenes afligidas, y ella tiene amargura.

Daleth The streets of Zion mourn because there are none to come to the solemnities; all her gates are destroyed; her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.

5 H e: Sus enemigos han sido hechos cabeza, sus aborrecedores fueron prosperados; porque el SEÑOR la afligió por la multitud de sus rebeliones; sus niños fueron en cautividad delante del enemigo.

He Her enemies have been made the head; those who hated her have been prospered; for the LORD has afflicted her for the multitude of her rebellions; her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.

6 V au: Se fue de la hija de Sion toda su hermosura; sus príncipes fueron como ciervos que no hallan pasto, y anduvieron sin fortaleza delante del perseguidor.

Vau And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed; her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.

7 Z ain: Jerusalén, cuando cayó su pueblo en mano del enemigo y no hubo quien le ayudara, entonces se acordó de los días de su aflicción, y de sus rebeliones, y de todas sus cosas deseables que tuvo desde los tiempos antiguos; la miraron los enemigos, y escarnecieron de sus sábados.

Zain Jerusalem remembered the days of her affliction and of her rebellions and of all her desirable things that she had in the times of old when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and no one helped her; the enemies saw her and mocked at her days of rest.

8 C het: Pecado grave cometió Jerusalén; por lo cual ella ha sido removida; todos los que antes la honraban la han menospreciado, porque vieron su vergüenza; y ella también suspira, y es vuelta atrás.

Cheth Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she is removed; all that honoured her despise her because they have seen her nakedness; yea, she sighs and is turned backward.

9 T et: Sus inmundicias están en sus faldas; no se acordó de su postrimería; por tanto, ella ha descendido sorprendentemente, no tiene consolador. Mira, oh SEÑOR, mi aflicción, porque el enemigo se ha engrandecido.

Teth Her filthiness is in her skirts; she did not remember her latter end; therefore she came down surprisingly; she has no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction, for the enemy has magnified himself.

10 Y od: Extendió su mano el enemigo a todas sus cosas preciosas; y ella vio a los gentiles entrar en su santuario, de los cuales mandaste que no entraran en tu congregación.

Jod The enemy has spread out his hand upon all her precious things, and she saw the Gentiles enter into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.

11 C af: Todo su pueblo buscó su pan suspirando; dieron por la comida todas sus cosas preciosas, para entretener la vida. Mira, oh SEÑOR, y ve que soy tornada vil.

Caph All her people sought their bread with sadness; they have given all their precious things for food to maintain life; see, O LORD, and consider, for I am become vile.

12 L ámed: ¿No os conmueve a cuantos pasáis por el camino? Mirad, y ved si hay dolor como mi dolor que me ha venido; porque el SEÑOR me ha angustiado en el día de la ira de su furor.

¶ Lamed Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there is any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is come unto me because the LORD has afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

13 M em: Desde lo alto envió fuego en mis huesos, el cual se enseñoreó; extendió red a mis pies, me tornó atrás, me puso asolada, y que siempre tenga dolor.

Mem From upon high he has sent fire into my bones, and it prevails against them; he has spread a net for my feet; he has turned me back; he has made me desolate and always with pain.

14 N un: El yugo de mis rebeliones está ligado en su mano; entretejidas han subido sobre mi cerviz; ha hecho caer mis fuerzas; me ha entregado el Señor en manos de donde no podré levantarme.

Nun The yoke of my rebellions is bound in his hand; they are wreathed and come up upon my neck; he has made my strength to fall; the Lord has delivered me into their hands, from whom I am not able to rise up.

15 S ámec: El Señor ha hollado todos mis fuertes en medio de mí; llamó contra mi compañía para quebrantar mis jóvenes, como lagar ha pisado el Señor a la Virgen hija de Judá.

Samech The Lord has trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me; he has called a company against me to crush my young men; the Lord has trodden the virgin daughter of Judah as in a winepress.

16 A yin: Por esta causa yo lloro; mis ojos, mis ojos fluyen aguas; porque se alejó de mí el consolador que dé reposo a mi alma. Mis hijos son destruidos, porque el enemigo prevaleció.

Ain For these things I weep; my eyes, my eyes stream with water because the comforter that gives rest unto my soul has left me; my sons are desolate because the enemy prevailed.

17 P e: Sion extendió sus manos; no tiene consolador; el SEÑOR dio mandamiento contra Jacob, que sus enemigos lo cercaran; Jerusalén fue en abominación entre ellos.

Pe Zion spread forth her hands and has no comforter; the LORD gave a commandment against Jacob that his enemies should besiege him; Jerusalem was an abomination in the midst of them.

18 T sade: El SEÑOR es justo; que yo contra su boca me rebelé. Oíd ahora, todos los pueblos, y ved mi dolor; mis vírgenes y mis jóvenes fueron en cautiverio.

Tzaddi The LORD is righteous, for I have rebelled against his mouth; hear now, all the peoples and see my sorrow; my virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.

19 C of: Di voces a mis amadores, mas ellos me han engañado. Mis sacerdotes y mis ancianos en la ciudad perecieron buscando comida para sí con que entretener su vida.

Koph I called unto my lovers, but they have deceived me; my priests and my elders in the city perished seeking food to maintain their lives.

20 R esh: Mira, oh SEÑOR, que estoy atribulada; mis entrañas rugen, mi corazón está trastornado en medio de mí; porque me rebelé desaforadamente; de fuera me desahijó la espada, de dentro aparece la muerte.

Resh Look, O LORD; for I am in distress; my bowels are troubled; my heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled; abroad the sword bereaves; at home there is as death.

21 S in: Oyeron que gemía, y no hay consolador para mí. Todos mis enemigos han oído mi mal, se alegraron porque tú lo hiciste. Trajiste el día que señalaste, mas serán como yo.

Schin They have heard that I sigh; and there is no comforter for me; all my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it. Thou hast brought the day that thou hast spoken of, but they shall be like unto me.

22 T au: Entre delante de ti toda su maldad, y haz con ellos como hiciste conmigo por todas mis rebeliones. Porque muchos son mis suspiros, y mi corazón está dolorido.

Tau Let all their wickedness come before thee; and do unto them as thou hast done unto me for all my rebellions; for my sighs are many, and my heart is filled with pain.
