1 ¶ Así que, hermanos, os ruego por las misericordias de Dios, que presentéis vuestros cuerpos en sacrificio vivo, santo, agradable a Dios, que es vuestro racional culto.

¶ Therefore, I beseech you brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies in living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing unto God, which is your rational worship.

2 Y no os conforméis a este siglo; mas transformaos por la renovación de vuestra alma, para que experimentéis cuál sea la buena voluntad de Dios, agradable y perfecta.

And be not conformed to this age, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your soul that ye may experience what is that good and well pleasing and perfect will of God.

3 D igo pues por la gracia que me es dada, a todos los que están entre vosotros, que no sepan más de lo que conviene saber; mas que sepan con templanza, cada uno conforme a la medida de fe que Dios repartió.

Therefore I say through the grace given unto me, to all those that are among you not to obtain more knowledge than is prudent to know, but to obtain knowledge with temperance, each one according to the measure of faith that God has dealt.

4 P orque de la manera que en un cuerpo tenemos muchos miembros, sin embargo todos los miembros no tienen la misma operación;

For in the manner that we have many members in one body, nevertheless all the members do not have the same operation;

5 a sí muchos somos un cuerpo en el Cristo, mas todos miembros los unos de los otros.

likewise many of us are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 D e manera que, teniendo diferentes dones según la gracia que nos es dada; si es profecía, conforme a la medida de la fe;

So that having different gifts according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, according to the measure of faith;

7 o ministerio, en servir; o el que enseña, en doctrina;

or ministry, in serving; or he that teaches, in doctrine;

8 e l que exhorta, en exhortar; el que reparte, hágalo en simplicidad; el que preside, en solicitud; el que hace misericordia, en alegría.

he that exhorts, in exhortation; he that gives, let him do it in simplicity; he that presides, in earnest care; he that shows mercy, in cheerfulness.

9 E l amor sea sin fingimiento, aborreciendo lo malo, llegándoos a lo bueno;

Let love be without dissimulation, abhorring that which is evil, causing you to come unto that which is good;

10 a mando el amor de la hermandad los unos con los otros; previniéndoos con honra los unos a los otros;

loving one another with brotherly love, with honour preferring one another;

11 e n el cuidado no perezosos; ardientes en el Espíritu; sirviendo al Señor;

not slothful in earnest care, but fervent in the Spirit, serving the Lord,

12 g ozosos en la esperanza; sufridos en la tribulación; constantes en la oración;

rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, constant in prayer,

13 c ompartiendo para las necesidades de los santos; siguiendo la hospitalidad.

sharing for the needs of the saints, and given to hospitality.

14 B endecid a los que os persiguen; bendecid y no maldigáis.

Bless those who persecute you: bless, and do not curse.

15 G ozaos con los que gozan; llorad con los que lloran.

Rejoice with those that rejoice and weep with those that weep.

16 U nánimes entre vosotros; no altivos, mas acomodándoos a los humildes. No seáis sabios en vuestra propia opinión.

Be unanimous among yourselves, not high minded, but accommodating the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

17 N o pagando a nadie mal por mal; procurando lo bueno no sólo delante de Dios, mas aun delante de todos los hombres.

Not repaying anyone evil for evil; procuring that which is good not only in the sight of God, but even in the sight of all men.

18 S i se puede hacer, en cuanto sea posible en vosotros, tened paz con todos los hombres.

If it can be done, as much as is possible on your part, live in peace with all men.

19 N o defendiéndoos a vosotros mismos, amados; antes dad lugar a la ira de Dios, porque escrito está: Mía es la venganza; yo pagaré, dice el Señor.

Not defending yourselves, dearly beloved; but rather give place unto the wrath of God, for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 A sí que, si tu enemigo tuviere hambre, dale de comer; si tuviere sed, dale de beber: que haciendo esto, ascuas de fuego amontonas sobre su cabeza.

Therefore, if thine enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink; for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21 N o seas vencido de lo malo; mas vence con el bien el mal.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
