1 E n el año que murió el rey Uzías vi yo al Señor sentado sobre un trono alto y sublime, y sus faldas llenaban el templo.

¶ In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2 Y encima de él estaban serafines; cada uno tenía seis alas; con dos cubrían sus rostros, con dos cubrían sus pies, y con dos volaban.

Above it stood the seraphims; each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

3 Y el uno al otro daba voces, diciendo: Santo, Santo, Santo, el SEÑOR de los ejércitos; toda la tierra está llena de su gloria.

And one cried out unto another and said, Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of the hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory.

4 Y los quiciales de las puertas se estremecieron con la voz del que clamaba; y la Casa se llenó de humo.

And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 E ntonces dije: ¡Ay de mí! que soy muerto; que siendo hombre inmundo de labios, y habitando en medio de pueblo que tiene labios inmundos, han visto mis ojos al Rey, el SEÑOR de los ejércitos.

¶ Then I said, Woe is me! for I am dead because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of the hosts.

6 Y voló hacia mí uno de los serafines, teniendo en su mano un carbón encendido, tomado del altar con unas tenazas;

Then one of the seraphim flew unto me, having a live coal in his hand which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

7 y tocando con él sobre mi boca, dijo: He aquí que esto tocó tus labios, y quitará tu iniquidad, y tu pecado será limpiado.

And he laid it upon my mouth and said, Behold, this has touched thy lips; and it shall take away thy guilt, and thy sin shall be cleansed.

8 D espués oí la voz del Señor, que decía: ¿A quién enviaré, y quién irá por nosotros? Entonces respondí yo: Heme aquí, envíame a mí.

After this, I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I answered, Here am I; send me.

9 E ntonces dijo: Anda, y di a este pueblo: Oíd bien, y no entendáis; ved por cierto, mas no comprendáis.

¶ Then he said, Go and tell this people, Hear indeed, but do not understand; and see indeed, but do not perceive.

10 E ngruesa el corazón de este pueblo, y agrava sus oídos, y ciega sus ojos; para que no vea con sus ojos, ni oiga con sus oídos, ni su corazón entienda; ni se convierta, y haya para él sanidad.

Make the heart of this people fat and make their ears heavy and blind their eyes that they not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor understand with their heart, nor convert and there be healing for him.

11 Y yo dije: ¿Hasta cuándo, Señor? Y respondió él: Hasta que las ciudades estén asoladas, y sin morador, ni hombre en las casas, y la tierra sea tornada en desierto;

And I said, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant and not a man in the houses, and the land is turned into desert,

12 h asta que el SEÑOR quite lejos los hombres, y haya gran soledad en la tierra.

until the LORD has removed men far away, and there is great solitude in the midst of the land.

13 Y quedará en ella la décima parte, y volverá; y será asolada, como el olmo y como el alcornoque, de los cuales en la tala queda el tronco con vida; su tronco, simiente santa.

But yet in it shall remain a tenth, and it shall return and shall be razed; as the teil tree and as the oak, of which the stump remains alive when they are cut down, likewise in these his stump shall remain holy seed.
