1 Y Ezequías comenzó a reinar siendo de veinticinco años, y reinó veintinueve años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Abías, hija de Zacarías.

¶ Hezekiah began to reign when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.

2 E hizo lo recto ante los ojos del SEÑOR, conforme a todas las cosas que había hecho David su padre.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David, his father, had done.

3 E n el primer año de su reinado, en el mes primero, abrió las puertas de la Casa del SEÑOR, y las reparó.

In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the LORD and repaired them.

4 E hizo venir a los sacerdotes y levitas, y los juntó en la plaza oriental.

And he brought in the priests and the Levites and gathered them together into the east plaza

5 Y les dijo: Oídme, levitas, y santificaos ahora, y santificaréis la Casa del SEÑOR Dios de vuestros padres, y sacaréis del santuario la inmundicia.

and said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify now yourselves, and ye shall sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers and carry forth the filthiness out of the sanctuary.

6 P orque nuestros padres se han rebelado, y han hecho lo malo ante los ojos del SEÑOR nuestro Dios; que le dejaron, y apartaron sus rostros del tabernáculo del SEÑOR, y le volvieron las espaldas.

For our fathers have rebelled and done that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, for they have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD and turned their backs.

7 Y aun cerraron las puertas del pórtico, y apagaron las lámparas; no quemaron incienso, ni sacrificaron holocausto en el santuario al Dios de Israel.

They even shut up the doors of the porch and put out the lamps and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the sanctuary unto the God of Israel.

8 P or tanto la ira del SEÑOR ha venido sobre Judá y Jerusalén, y los ha entregado a turbación, y a execración y escarnio, como veis vosotros con vuestros ojos.

Therefore, the wrath of the LORD has come upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he has delivered them to trouble, to astonishment, and to hissing, as ye see with your eyes.

9 Y he aquí nuestros padres han caído a espada, nuestros hijos y nuestras hijas y nuestras mujeres son cautivas por esto.

For, behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.

10 A hora pues, está en mi corazón hacer pacto con el SEÑOR Dios de Israel, para que aparte de nosotros la ira de su furor.

Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel that his fierce wrath may turn away from us.

11 H ijos míos, no os engañéis ahora, porque el SEÑOR os ha escogido a vosotros para que estéis delante de él, y le sirváis, y seáis sus ministros, y le queméis incienso.

My sons, do not deceive yourselves, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before him, to serve him, and that ye should be his ministers and burn incense unto him.

12 E ntonces los levitas se levantaron, Mahat hijo de Amasai, y Joel hijo de Azarías, de los hijos de Coat; y de los hijos de Merari, Cis hijo de Abdi, y Azarías hijo de Jehalelel; y de los hijos de Gersón, Joa hijo de Zima, y Edén hijo de Joa;

¶ Then the Levites arose, Mahath, the son of Amasai, and Joel, the son of Azariah, of the sons of Kohath; and of the sons of Merari, Kish, the son of Abdi, and Azariah, the son of Jehalelel; and of the sons of Gershon; Joah, the son of Zimmah, and Eden, the son of Joah;

13 y de los hijos de Elizafán, Simri y Jehiel; y de los hijos de Asaf, Zacarías y Matanías;

and of the sons of Elizaphan; Shimri and Jeiel; and of the sons of Asaph; Zechariah and Mattaniah;

14 y de los hijos de Hemán, Jehiel y Simei; y de los hijos de Jedutún, Semeías y Uziel.

and of the sons of Heman; Jehiel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun; Shemaiah and Uzziel.

15 E stos juntaron a sus hermanos, y se santificaron, y entraron, conforme al mandamiento del rey y las palabras del SEÑOR, para limpiar la Casa del SEÑOR.

And they gathered their brethren and sanctified themselves and entered in, according to the commandment of the king, by the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD.

16 Y entrando los sacerdotes dentro de la Casa del SEÑOR para limpiarla, quitaron toda la inmundicia que hallaron en el templo del SEÑOR, en el atrio de la Casa del SEÑOR; la cual tomaron los levitas, para sacarla fuera al arroyo de Cedrón.

And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the Brook Kidron.

17 Y comenzaron a santificar al primero del mes primero, y a los ocho del mismo mes vinieron al pórtico del SEÑOR; y santificaron la Casa del SEÑOR en ocho días, y a los dieciséis del mes primero acabaron.

Now they began to sanctify on the first day of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they came to the porch of the LORD; and they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.

18 Y entraron al rey Ezequías y le dijeron: Ya hemos limpiado toda la Casa del SEÑOR, el altar del holocausto, y todos sus vasos, y la mesa de la proposición con todos sus vasos.

Then they went in to Hezekiah, the king, and said, We have cleansed all the house of the LORD and the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and the showbread table with all its vessels.

19 A simismo hemos preparado y santificado todos los vasos que el rey Acaz había maltratado en el tiempo que reinó habiendo apostatado; y he aquí están todos delante del altar del SEÑOR.

Likewise we have prepared and sanctified all the vessels, which King Ahaz in his reign cast away in his transgression, and, behold, they are before the altar of the LORD.

20 ¶ Y levantándose de mañana el rey Ezequías reunió los principales de la ciudad, y subió a la Casa del SEÑOR.

¶ Then Hezekiah, the king, rose early and gathered the rulers of the city and went up to the house of the LORD.

21 Y ofrecieron siete novillos, siete carneros, siete corderos, y siete machos cabríos, por el pecado del reino, del santuario y de Judá. Y dijo a los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón, que los ofrecieran sobre el altar del SEÑOR.

And they offered seven bullocks and seven rams and seven lambs and seven he goats, for the sin of the kingdom and of the sanctuary and of Judah. And he commanded the priests, the sons of Aaron, to offer them on the altar of the LORD.

22 Y mataron los bueyes; y los sacerdotes tomaron la sangre, y la esparcieron sobre el altar; y asimismo mataron los carneros, y esparcieron la sangre sobre el altar; y mataron los corderos, y esparcieron la sangre sobre el altar.

So they killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood and sprinkled it on the altar; likewise, when they had killed the rams, they sprinkled the blood upon the altar; they also killed the lambs, and they sprinkled the blood upon the altar.

23 E hicieron llegar los machos cabríos del pecado delante del rey y de la multitud, y pusieron sobre ellos sus manos;

And they brought forth the he goats of the sin before the king and the congregation, and they laid their hands upon them;

24 y los sacerdotes los mataron, y removieron el pecado con la sangre de ellos sobre el altar, para reconciliar a todo Israel; porque por todo Israel mandó el rey ofrecer el holocausto y la expiación del pecado.

and the priests killed them, and they removed the sin with their blood upon the altar, to reconcile all Israel, for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the atonement for sin should be offered for all Israel.

25 P uso también levitas en la Casa del SEÑOR con címbalos, y salterios, y arpas, conforme al mandamiento de David, y de Gad vidente del rey, y de Natán, el profeta; porque aquel mandamiento fue por mano del SEÑOR, por mano de sus profetas.

And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad, the king’s seer, and of Nathan, the prophet, for that commandment was by the hand of the LORD, by the hand of his prophets.

26 Y los levitas estaban con los instrumentos de David, y los sacerdotes con trompetas.

And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.

27 E ntonces mandó Ezequías sacrificar el holocausto en el altar; y al tiempo que comenzó el holocausto, comenzó también el cántico del SEÑOR, con las trompetas y los instrumentos de David rey de Israel.

Then Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began also with the trumpets and with the instruments of David, king of Israel.

28 Y toda la multitud adoraba, y los cantores cantaban, y las trompetas sonaban de continuo; hasta acabarse el holocausto.

And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpets sounded; and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.

29 Y cuando acabaron de ofrecer, se inclinó el rey, y todos los que con él estaban, y adoraron.

And when they had finished offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves and worshipped.

30 E ntonces el rey Ezequías y los príncipes dijeron a los levitas que alabaran al SEÑOR por las palabras de David y de Asaf vidente; y ellos alabaron con gran alegría, e inclinándose adoraron.

Moreover, Hezekiah, the king, and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the LORD with the words of David and of Asaph, the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed down and worshipped.

31 Y respondiendo Ezequías dijo: Vosotros os habéis consagrado ahora al SEÑOR; llegaos pues, y presentad sacrificios y alabanzas en la Casa del SEÑOR. Y la multitud presentó sacrificios y alabanzas; y todo liberal de corazón, holocaustos.

Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and praises in the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and praises, and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.

32 Y fue el número de los holocaustos que trajo la congregación, setenta bueyes, cien carneros, doscientos corderos; todo para el holocausto del SEÑOR.

And the number of the burnt offerings, which the congregation brought, was seventy bullocks, one hundred rams, and two hundred lambs; all these were for the burnt offering of the LORD.

33 Y las ofrendas consagradas fueron seiscientos bueyes, y tres mil ovejas.

And the consecrated things were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.

34 M as los sacerdotes eran pocos, y no podían bastar a desollar los holocaustos; y así sus hermanos los levitas les ayudaron hasta que acabaron la obra, y hasta que los otros sacerdotes se santificaron; porque los levitas tuvieron mayor rectitud de corazón para santificarse, que los sacerdotes.

But the priests were too few so that they could not flay all the burnt offerings; therefore, their brethren, the Levites, helped them until the work was ended and until the other priests had sanctified themselves, for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.

35 A sí, pues, hubo gran multitud de holocaustos, con sebos de pacíficos, y libaciones de cada holocausto. Y así fue ordenado el servicio de la Casa del SEÑOR.

And also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings and the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.

36 Y se alegró Ezequías, y todo el pueblo, de que Dios hubiera preparado el pueblo; porque la cosa fue prestamente hecha.

And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people, for the thing was done suddenly.
