1 O h Dios, vinieron los gentiles a tu heredad; contaminaron el templo de tu santidad; pusieron a Jerusalén en montones.

¶ O God, the Gentiles are come into thine inheritance; they have defiled the temple of thy holiness; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.

2 D ieron los cuerpos de tus siervos por comida a las aves de los cielos; la carne de los tuyos a las bestias de la tierra.

The dead bodies of thy slaves they have given to be food unto the fowls of the heavens, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.

3 D erramaron su sangre como agua en los alrededores de Jerusalén; y no hubo quién los enterrara.

They have shed their blood like water round about Jerusalem, and there was no one to bury them.

4 S omos afrentados de nuestros vecinos, escarnecidos y burlados de los que están en nuestros alrededores.

We are reproached by our neighbours, scorned, and derided by those that are round about us.

5 ¿ Hasta cuándo, oh SEÑOR? ¿Has de estar airado para siempre? ¿Arderá como fuego tu celo?

How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

6 ¶ Derrama tu ira sobre los gentiles que no te conocen, y sobre los reinos que no invocan tu Nombre.

¶ Pour out thy wrath upon the Gentiles that do not know thee and upon the kingdoms that do not call upon thy name.

7 P orque han consumido a Jacob, y su morada han asolado.

For they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his dwelling place.

8 N o recuerdes contra nosotros las iniquidades antiguas; anticípanos pronto tus misericordias, porque estamos muy pobres.

O remember not against us former iniquities; let thy tender mercies speedily meet us on the way, for we are very poor.

9 A yúdanos, oh Dios, salud nuestra, por la honra de tu Nombre; y líbranos, y purga nuestros pecados por causa de tu Nombre.

Help us, O God, our saving health, for the honor of thy name and deliver us and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake.

10 P orque dirán los gentiles: ¿Dónde está su Dios? Sea notorio en los gentiles, delante de nuestros ojos, la venganza de la sangre de tus siervos, que se ha derramado.

Why should the Gentiles say, Where is their God? let him be known among the Gentiles in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy slaves which is shed.

11 E ntre delante de ti el gemido de los presos; conforme a la grandeza de tu brazo preserva a los sentenciados a muerte.

Let the sighing of the prisoners come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve those that are appointed to die

12 Y devuelve a nuestros vecinos en su seno siete tantos de su deshonra, con que te han deshonrado, oh SEÑOR.

and render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, with which they have reproached thee, O Lord.

13 Y nosotros, pueblo tuyo, y ovejas de tu prado, te alabaremos para siempre; por generación y generación cantaremos tus alabanzas.

So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: from generation to generation we will sing thy praises.
