1 В год смерти царя Уззии я видел Владыку, сидящего на престоле, высоком и превознесенном, и края Его одеяния наполняли храм.

¶ In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2 Н ад Ним парили серафимы, и у каждого было по шесть крыльев: двумя крыльями они закрывали свои лица, двумя закрывали ноги и двумя летали.

Above it stood the seraphims; each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

3 О ни восклицали друг другу: – Свят, свят, свят Господь Сил; вся земля полна Его славы!

And one cried out unto another and said, Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of the hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory.

4 О т звука их голосов дрогнули косяки дверей, и храм наполнился дымом.

And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 И тогда я воскликнул: – Горе мне! Я погиб! Я человек с нечистыми устами, и живу среди народа с нечистыми устами, а глаза мои видели Царя, Господа Сил.

¶ Then I said, Woe is me! for I am dead because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of the hosts.

6 Т огда один из серафимов подлетел ко мне, держа горящий уголь, который он взял щипцами с жертвенника.

Then one of the seraphim flew unto me, having a live coal in his hand which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

7 О н коснулся им моих уст и сказал: – Вот, это прикоснулось к твоим устам; твоя вина снята, и твой грех отпущен.

And he laid it upon my mouth and said, Behold, this has touched thy lips; and it shall take away thy guilt, and thy sin shall be cleansed.

8 З атем я услышал голос Владыки, говорящего: – Кого Мне послать? И кто пойдет для Нас? И я сказал: – Вот я. Пошли меня!

After this, I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I answered, Here am I; send me.

9 О н сказал: – Пойди и скажи этому народу: «Слушать слушайте, но не понимайте, смотреть смотрите, но не разумейте».

¶ Then he said, Go and tell this people, Hear indeed, but do not understand; and see indeed, but do not perceive.

10 О жесточи сердце этого народа, закрой их уши и сомкни им глаза, чтобы они не смогли увидеть глазами, услышать ушами и понять сердцем, чтобы не обратились и не получили исцеление.

Make the heart of this people fat and make their ears heavy and blind their eyes that they not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor understand with their heart, nor convert and there be healing for him.

11 Т огда я спросил: – Надолго ли это, Владыка? И Он ответил: – Пока города не лягут руинами и не останутся без жителей; пока дома не будут брошены, и поля не будут опустошены и разграблены;

And I said, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant and not a man in the houses, and the land is turned into desert,

12 п ока Господь не изгонит всех и страна не будет совершенно заброшена.

until the LORD has removed men far away, and there is great solitude in the midst of the land.

13 И пусть в ней останется десятая часть ее жителей, она будет снова опустошена. Но как от теревинфа и от дуба остается корень, когда их срубят, так и святое семя будет ей корнем.

But yet in it shall remain a tenth, and it shall return and shall be razed; as the teil tree and as the oak, of which the stump remains alive when they are cut down, likewise in these his stump shall remain holy seed.
