1 М анасия беше на възраст дванадесет години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ петдесет и пет години в Йерусалим; името на майка му беше Ефсива.

¶ Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign and reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzibah.

2 Т ой вършѝ зло пред Господа според мерзостите на народите, които Господ прогони пред израелтяните.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the Gentiles, whom the LORD cast out before the sons of Israel.

3 И здигна отново високите места, които баща му Езекия беше съборил, издигна жертвеници на Ваал и направи ашера, както Израелевият цар Ахаав беше направил, и се кланяше на цялото небесно множество и им служеше.

For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah, his father, had destroyed, and he raised up altars for Baal and made a grove, as Ahab, king of Israel, had done; and he worshipped all the host of heaven and served those things.

4 И здигна също жертвеници в Господния дом, за който Господ беше казал: В Йерусалим ще настаня името Си.

Likewise, he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, In Jerusalem I will put my name.

5 И здигна жертвеници и на цялото небесно множество вътре в двата двора на Господния дом.

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.

6 П реведе и сина си през огън, използваше предсказания и гадания и си служеше със запитвачи на зли духове и врачове; той извърши голямо зло пред Господа и Го разгневи.

And he made his son pass through the fire and observed times and used enchantments and dealt with spiritists and diviners and multiplied much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

7 А ваяния идол на ашерата, който направи, постави в дома, за който Господ каза на Давид и на сина му Соломон: В този дом и в Йерусалим, който избрах от всички Израелеви племена, ще настаня името Си до века;

And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the LORD had said to David and to Solomon, his son, In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever;

8 и няма вече да направя краката на Израел да блуждаят вън от земята, която дадох на бащите им, само ако внимават да вършат всичко, което им заповядах, напълно според закона, който слугата Ми Моисей им даде.

neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers, only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them and according to all the law that my slave Moses commanded them.

9 Н о не послушаха; а Манасия ги подмами да вършат по-лошо от народите, които Господ погуби пред израелтяните.

But they did not hearken, and Manasseh caused them to err and to do more evil than did the Gentiles whom the LORD destroyed before the sons of Israel.

10 Т огава Господ говорѝ чрез слугите Си, пророците:

¶ And the LORD spoke by his slaves, the prophets, saying,

11 П онеже Юдейският цар Манасия направи тези мерзости и извърши повече зло от всичко, което извършиха аморейците, които бяха преди него, и чрез идолите си подведе Юдея да съгреши,

Because Manasseh, king of Judah, has done these abominations and has done more evil than all that the Amorites did, who were before him and has also made Judah sin with his idols;

12 з атова така казва Господ, Израелевият Бог: Ето, Аз нанасям такова зло на Йерусалим и Юдея, че на всеки, който чуе за него, ще му писнат и двете уши.

therefore, thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears shall tingle.

13 И ще простра върху Йерусалим същата връв за мерене, която прострях върху Самария, и същия отвес, който прострях върху Ахавовия дом; и ще избърша Йерусалим, както някой избърсва блюдо - и като го избърше, обръща го наопаки.

And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab; and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

14 Щ е отхвърля останалите от наследството Си и ще ги предам в ръката на неприятелите им; и те ще бъдат разграбени и пленявани от всичките си неприятели,

And I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies, and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies

15 з ащото вършеха зло пред Мен и Ме разгневяваха от деня, когато бащите им излязоха от Египет, до днес.

because they have done that which was evil in my sight and have provoked me to anger since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.

16 П ри това освен греха, с който направи Юдея да съгреши, като вършѝ зло пред Господа, Манасия проля и твърде много невинна кръв, докато напълни Йерусалим от единия до другия край.

Moreover, Manasseh shed innocent blood very much until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another besides his sin with which he made Judah sin so that they would do that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

17 А останалите дела на Манасия и всичко, което извърши, и грехът, който направи, са записани в Книгата на летописите на Юдейските царе.

Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh and all that he did and his sin with which he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

18 И Манасия заспа с бащите си и беше погребан в градината на своята къща, в градината на Оза; и вместо него се възцари синът му Амон. Царуване на Амон

And Manasseh slept with his fathers and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza; and Amon his son reigned in his stead.

19 А мон беше на възраст двадесет и две години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ две години в Йерусалим; името на майка му беше Месулемета, дъщеря на Арус от Йотева.

¶ Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.

20 Т ой вършѝ зло пред Господа, както направи баща му Манасия.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh had done.

21 Х одѝ напълно по пътя, по който ходѝ баща му, и служѝ на идолите, на които служеше баща му, и им се поклони.

And he walked in all the way that his father walked in and served the idols that his father had served and worshipped them;

22 И зостави Господа, Бога на бащите си, и не ходѝ по Господния път.

and he forsook the LORD God of his fathers and did not walk in the way of the LORD.

23 А слугите на Амон организираха заговор против него и убиха царя в собствената му къща.

And the slaves of Amon conspired against him and slew the king in his own house.

24 О баче народът от страната изби всички, които организираха заговора против цар Амон; и народът издигна сина му Йосия за цар вместо него.

Then the people of the land slew all those that had conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made Josiah, his son, king in his stead.

25 А останалите дела, които извърши Амон, са записани в Книгата на летописите на Юдейските царе.

Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

26 И го погребаха в гроба му в градината на Оза; и вместо него се възцари синът му Йосия.

And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza, and Josiah, his son, reigned in his stead.
