1 М анасия беше на възраст дванадесет години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ петдесет и пет години в Йерусалим.

¶ Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.

2 Т ой вършѝ зло пред Господа според мерзостите на народите, които Господ изгони пред израелтяните.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the Gentiles, whom the LORD had cast out before the sons of Israel.

3 И здигна отново високите места, които баща му Езекия беше съборил, издигна жертвениците на ваалимите и направи ашери, и се кланяше на цялото небесно множество и им служеше.

For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah, his father, had broken down, and he raised up altars for the Baalim and made groves and worshipped all the host of the heavens and served them.

4 С ъщо издигна жертвеници в Господния дом, за който Господ беше казал: В Йерусалим ще бъде името Ми до века.

He also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.

5 И здигна жертвеници и на цялото небесно множество вътре в двата двора на Господния дом.

He likewise built altars for all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of the LORD.

6 И преведе синовете си през огъня в долината на Еномовия син, още врачуваше и гадаеше, правеше магии и си служеше със запитвачи на зли духове и с врачове; той извърши много зло пред Господа и Го разгневи.

And he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the valley of the sons of Hinnom; he also observed times, used enchantments, and was given over to witchcraft, consulting with spiritists and with diviners; he multiplied in doing much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

7 А ваяния идол, образа, който направи, постави в Божия дом, за който Бог каза на Давид и на сина му Соломон: В този дом и в Йерусалим, който избрах от всички Израелеви племена, ще настаня името Си до века;

In addition to this, he set a graven image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen over all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name for ever;

8 н ито ще местя вече крака на Израел от земята, която определих за бащите ви само ако внимават да вършат всичко, което им заповядах, целия закон и наредбите, и постановленията, дадени чрез Моисей.

neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers under the condition that they take, keep, and do all that I have commanded them, the whole law, the statutes and the rights by the hand of Moses.

9 Н о Манасия подмами Юдея и йерусалимските жители да вършат по-лошо от народите, които Господ изтреби пред израелтяните.

So Manasseh deceived Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to do more evil than the Gentiles, whom the LORD had destroyed before the sons of Israel.

10 Т огава Господ говорѝ на Манасия и народа му; но те не послушаха.

And the LORD spoke to Manasseh and to his people, but they would not hearken.

11 З атова Господ доведе против тях военачалниците на асирийския цар и хванаха Манасия, и като го сложиха в окови и го вързаха с вериги, го заведоха във Вавилон.

¶ Therefore, the LORD brought upon them the princes of the host of the king of Assyria who took Manasseh and bound him with fetters of brass and carried him to Babylon.

12 А когато царят беше в бедствие, той се помоли на Господа, своя Бог, и се смири много пред Бога на бащите си.

And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

13 И когато му се помоли, Бог му обърна внимание и послуша молбата му, и го доведе пак в Йерусалим, в царството му. Тогава Манасия позна, че Господ - Той е Бог.

and when he prayed unto him, he was heard; for he heard his supplication and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God.

14 А след това той съгради една външна стена на Давидовия град, на запад от Гион, в долината, чак до входа на рибната порта, и я прекара около Офил, и я издигна много високо; и постави военачалници във всички укрепени Юдейски градове.

Now after, this he built the wall outside the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, and at the entrance of the fish gate, and fenced Ophel and raised it up to a very great height and put captains of the army in all the fenced cities of Judah.

15 С ъщо така премахна чуждите богове и идола от Господния дом, и всички жертвеници, които беше издигнал върху хълма на Господния дом и в Йерусалим, и ги хвърли вън от града.

Likewise, he took away the strange gods and the idol out of the house of the LORD and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD and in Jerusalem and cast them out of the city.

16 И поправи Господния жертвеник и пожертва на него мирни и благодарствени жертви, и заповяда на юдеите да служат на Господа, Израелевия Бог.

And he repaired the altar of the LORD and sacrificed upon it sacrifices of peace and of praise and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.

17 Н о народът още жертваше по високите места, обаче само на Господа, своя Бог.

Nevertheless, the people still sacrificed in the high places, yet unto the LORD their God only.

18 А останалите дела на Манасия и молитвата му към неговия Бог, и думите на ясновидците, които му говориха в името на Господа, Израелевия Бог, са записани между делата на Израелевите царе.

Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the acts of the kings of Israel.

19 А молитвите му и как Бог го послуша, и всичките му грехове, и престъплението му, местностите, където издигна високи места и постави ашерите и летите идоли, преди да се смири, са записани в историята на ясновидците.

His prayer also and how he was heard, and all his sins, and his trespass, and the places upon which he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he humbled himself; behold, these things are written among the words of the seers.

20 И Манасия заспа с бащите си; и го погребаха в собствената му къща; а вместо него се възцари синът му Амон. Царуване на Амон

So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house; and Amon, his son, reigned in his stead.

21 А мон беше на възраст двадесет и две години, когато се възцари, и царува̀ две години в Йерусалим.

¶ Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign and reigned two years in Jerusalem.

22 Т ой вършѝ зло пред Господа, както направи баща му Манасия; и Амон жертваше на всички лети идоли, които баща му Манасия беше направил, и им служеше.

But he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as Manasseh his father had done, for Amon sacrificed unto all the graven images which Manasseh, his father, had made, and served them.

23 А не се смири пред Господа, както се смири баща му Манасия; напротив, този Амон вършеше все повече и повече престъпления.

But he never humbled himself before the LORD as Manasseh, his father, humbled himself; to the contrary Amon multiplied the guilt.

24 А слугите му направиха заговор против него и го убиха в собствената му къща.

And his slaves conspired against him and slew him in his own house.

25 О баче народът от страната изби всички, които бяха направили заговора против цар Амон; и народът от страната издигна сина му Йосия за цар вместо него.

But the people of the land slew all those that had conspired against King Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah, his son, king in his stead.
