1 В онзи ден Девора и Варак, Авиноамовият син, пееха с думите:

¶ Then sang Deborah with Barak, the son of Abinoam, on that day, saying,

2 З атова, че в Израел водителството взеха военачалниците, затова, че народът се предаде доброволно, хвалете Господа.

Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

3 Ч уйте, царе! Дайте ухо, първенци! Ще пея, аз ще пея на Господа; на Господа, Израелевия Бог, ще пея хвала.

Hear, O ye kings. Give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will praise the LORD God of Israel.

4 Г осподи, когато Ти излезе от Сиир, когато тръгна от полето Едом, земята се потресе, също и небето поръси, ей, облаците поръсиха вода.

LORD, when thou didst go out of Seir, when thou didst march out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped; the clouds also dropped water.

5 П ланините се разтопиха от присъствието Господне, самият Синай - от присъствието на Господа, Израелевия Бог.

The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel.

6 В дните на Самегар, сина на Анат, в дните на Яил пътищата бяха напуснати и пътниците вървяха по пътеки настрана.

¶ In the days of Shamgar, the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways ceased, and those that walked went astray through crooked paths.

7 П рестанаха управниците в Израел; престанаха, докато се въздигнах аз, Девора, въздигнах се майка в Израел.

The inhabitants of the villages ceased; they had ceased in Israel until I Deborah arose, I arose a mother in Israel.

8 И збраха си нови богове; тогава настана бой в портите; но видя ли се щит или копие между четиридесет хиляди в Израел?

When they chose new gods, the war was at the gates. Was there a shield or spear to be seen among forty thousand in Israel?

9 С ърцето ми е към началниците на Израел, които между народа предадоха себе си доброволно. Хвалете Господа!

My heart is toward the princes of Israel, those that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless ye the LORD.

10 В ие, които яздите на бели осли, вие, които седите на меки постелки, и вие, които ходите по път, възвестете това!

Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that preside in judgment, and walk by the way.

11 Д алеч от кипежа на стрелците, на места, където черпят вода, там да възхваляват правдините на Господа, праведните дела на владичеството Му в Израел. Тогава народът Господен слезе при портите.

Because of the noise of archers, taken from among those that draw water, there they shall retell the righteousnesses of the LORD, even the righteousnesses of his villages in Israel. Now shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates.

12 С ъбуди се, събуди се, Деворо! Събуди се, събуди се, изпей песен! Стани, Варак, и заплени пленниците си, сине на Авиноам!

¶ Rise up, rise up, Deborah; rise up, rise up, sing a song. Stand up, Barak and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

13 Т огава направи остатък от народа да владее благородните; Господ ме направи да владея силните.

Now he has made the remnant of the people to have dominion over the magnificent; the LORD made me have dominion over the mighty.

14 К оито са от корена Ефремов, слязоха против Амалик; след тебе, Вениамине, между твоите племена; от Махир слязоха началници и от Завулон - онези, които държат жезъл на повелител.

Out of Ephraim came his root against Amalek; after thee, came Benjamin, against thy peoples; out of Machir came down princes; and from Zebulun, those that handle the pen of the writer.

15 И първенците на Исахар бяха с Девора, Исахар още с Варак, спуснаха се след него в долината. При потоците на Рувим велики бяха сърдечните решения.

Also princes of Issachar were with Deborah; and Issachar, like Barak, went on foot into the valley. From the divisions of Reuben, great are the thoughts of the heart.

16 З ащо си седнал между оградите да слушаш блеенето на стадата? При потоците на Рувим големи бяха сърдечните изпитания.

Why didst thou abide among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? From the divisions of Reuben great are the searchings of the heart.

17 Г алаад мируваше оттатък Йордан; и Дан защо стоеше в корабите? Асир седеше в крайбрежията и мируваше в заливчетата си.

Gilead remained on the other side of the Jordan, and why did Dan remain next to the ships? Asher continued on the sea shore and remained in his breaches.

18 З авулон са народ, които изложиха живота си на смърт. Също и Нефталим - по опасните места на полето.

Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field.

19 Д ойдоха царете, воюваха; тогава воюваха ханаанските царе в Таанах, близо до водите на Магедон; пари не взеха.

The kings came and fought; then the kings of Canaan fought in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.

20 О т небето воюваха; звездите от пътищата си воюваха против Сисара.

They fought from the heavens; the stars from their ways fought against Sisera.

21 Р еката Кисон ги завлече, старата река, реката Кисон, стъпкала си мощ, душо моя.

The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. Tread down, O my soul, with strength.

22 Т огава се счупиха конските копита от стремителното тичане - стремителното тичане на силните им.

Then were the hoofs of the horses broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones.

23 К ълнете Мироз, каза ангелът Господен, горчиво кълнете жителите му, защото не дойдоха на помощ на Господа, на помощ на Господа против силните.

Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof because they did not come to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

24 Б лагословена нека бъде повече от всички жени Яил, жената на Хевер кенееца; повече от всички жени, живеещи в шатри, нека бъде благословена.

¶ Blessed above women shall Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, be; blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

25 В ода поиска той; тя му даде мляко, масло донесе във великолепна чаша.

He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth cream in a lordly dish.

26 Р ъката си протегна към кола и десницата си - към работническия чук; и с чук удари Сисара и му промуши главата, ей, проби и прониза слепоочието му.

She put her hand to the stake, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer, and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.

27 В краката ѝ се повали, падна; простря се; в краката ѝ се повали, падна; където се повали, там и падна мъртъв.

At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down; at her feet he bowed, he fell; where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

28 С исаровата майка надничаше през прозореца и викаше през решетката: Защо се бави да дойде колесницата му? Защо закъсняха колелата на колесницата му?

The mother of Sisera looked out the window and cried through the lattice, Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots tarry?

29 М ъдрите нейни придворни жени ѝ отговаряха, даже и тя даваше отговор на себе си:

Her wise princesses answered her; and she even answered to herself,

30 Н е са ли намерили и не делят ли сега плячка? По мома, по две моми на всеки мъж; на Сисара плячка от пъстроцветни дрехи, плячка от пъстроцветни везани дрехи, от пъстроцветни дрехи, везани и от двете страни, свалени от раменете на пленените.

Have they not found spoil and are dividing it? To each man a damsel or two; to Sisera a spoil of different colours, a spoil of different colours of needlework, of different colours of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of those that take the spoil?

31 Т ака да погинат всички твои врагове, Господи; а онези, които Те обичат, да бъдат като слънцето, когато изгрява в силата си. След това на земята цареше мир четиридесет години.

So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD, but let those that love thee be as the sun when he rises in all his might. And the land had rest forty years.
