1 И звикай силно, не се щади; издигни гласа си като тръба и изяви на народа Ми беззаконието им и на Якововия дом - греховете им.

¶ Cry aloud, do not hold back; lift up thy voice like a shofar and preach to my people their rebellion and to the house of Jacob their sin.

2 П ри все това те Ме търсят всеки ден и желаят да учат пътищата Ми; като народ, който е извършил правда и не е изоставил постановлението на своя Бог, те искат от Мене праведни наредби и желаят да се приближат до Бога.

That they seek me daily and want to know my ways, as people that do righteousness and have not forsaken the rights of their God: they ask me of the rights of righteousness and desire to approach God.

3 З ащо постихме, казват, а Ти не виждаш? Защо смирихме душата си, а Ти не внимаваш? Ето, в деня на постите си вие се предавате на своите си удоволствия и изисквате да ви се вършат всичките ви работи.

¶ Why have we fasted, they say, and thou dost not see? why have we afflicted our soul, and thou dost take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find your own pleasure and exact your own estates.

4 Е то, вие постите, за да се препирате и карате и за да се биете нечестиво с юмруци; днес не постите така, че гласът ви да се чуе горе.

Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day to make your voice to be heard on high.

5 Т акъв ли е постът, който Аз съм избрал - ден, в който човек трябва да смирява душата си? Значи ли да навежда човек главата си като тръстика и да си постила вретище и пепел? Това ли ще наречеш пост и ден, угоден на Господа?

Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast and an acceptable day to the LORD?

6 Н е е ли това постът, който Аз съм избрал: да развързваш несправедливите окови, да разхлабваш връзките на ярема, да пускаш на свобода угнетените и да счупваш всеки хомот?

Is not rather the fast that I have chosen, to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the ties of oppression, to release into freedom those who are broken, and that ye break every yoke?

7 Н е е ли да разделяш хляба си с гладния и да въвеждаш в дома си сиромаси без покрив? Когато видиш голия, да го обличаш, и да не се криеш от своите еднокръвни?

Is it not to share thy bread with the hungry and that thou bring the poor that are cast out into thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou not hide thyself from thy brother?

8 Т огава твоята светлина ще изгрее като зората и здравето ти скоро ще разцъфне; правдата ти ще върви пред теб и славата Господня ще ти бъде задна стража.

¶ Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall gather thee.

9 Т огава ще призоваваш и Господ ще отговаря! Ще извикаш и Той ще каже: Ето Ме! Ако махнеш отсред себе си хомота, соченето с пръст и нечестивите думи,

Then shalt thou call, and thou shalt hear the LORD; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

10 а ко подариш на гладния желаното от душата ти и насищаш наскърбената душа, тогава светлината ти ще изгрява в тъмнината и мракът ти ще бъде като пладне;

and if thou pour out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:

11 Г оспод ще те води всякога, ще насища душата ти в суша и ще дава сила на костите ти; и ти ще бъдеш като напоявана градина и като воден извор, чиито води не пресъхват.

And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

12 И родените от тебе ще съградят отдавна запустелите места; ще възстановиш основите на много поколения; и ще те нарекат Възстановител на развалините, Възобновител на места за заселване.

And they shall build up out of thee the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the fallen foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

13 А ко отдръпнеш крака си в събота, за да не вършиш своята воля в святия Ми ден, и наречеш съботата наслада, свята на Господа, ден за почитане, и Го почиташ, като не следваш в нея своите си пътища и не търсиш своето си удоволствие, и не говориш своите си думи,

¶ If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy will on my holy day; and call the sabbath the delightful, holy, glorious day of the LORD; and shalt honour him by not doing thine own ways, nor seeking thine own will, nor speaking thine own words:

14 т огава ще се наслаждаваш в Господа; и Аз ще те направя да яздиш по високите места на земята и ще те храня в наследството на баща ти Яков; защото устата Господни изговориха това.

Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth and cause thee to eat of the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.
