1 З ащо се разоряват народите и племената намислят суета?

¶ Why do the Gentiles rage, and the peoples imagine a vain thing?

2 О пълчват се земните царе и управниците се наговарят заедно против Господа и против Неговия Помазаник, като казват:

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his anointed, saying,

3 Н ека разкъсаме връзките им и нека отхвърлим от себе си въжетата им.

let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us.

4 Т ози, Който седи на небесата, ще се смее; Господ ще се поругае над тях.

He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 Т огава ще им продума в гнева Си и в тежкото Си негодувание ще ги смути, като ще каже:

Then he shall speak unto them in his wrath and trouble them in his sore displeasure.

6 Н о Аз поставих Царя Си на Сион, святия Мой хълм.

Yet I have set my king upon Zion, the mountain of my holiness.

7 А з ще изявя постановлението; Господ Ми каза: Ти си Мой Син; Аз днес Те родих.

¶ I will declare the decree; the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day I have begotten thee.

8 П оискай от Мен и Аз ще Ти дам народите за Твое наследство и земните краища за Твое притежание.

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the Gentiles for thine inheritance and unto the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Щ е ги съкрушиш с желязна тояга, ще ги строшиш като глинен съд.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

10 И така, сега се вразумете, о, царе; научете се, земни съдии.

¶ Understand now therefore, O ye kings: receive chastening, ye judges of the earth.

11 С лугувайте на Господа със страх и се радвайте с трепет.

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Ц елувайте Избраника, за да не се разгневи и да погинете в пътя; защото скоро ще пламне Неговият гняв. Блажени са всички, които се надяват на Него.

Kiss the Son lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way when his wrath is kindled in a little while. Blessed are all those that put their trust in him.
