1 В четиристотин и осемдесетата година от излизането на израелтяните от Египетската земя, в четвъртата година на царуването си над Израел, в месец Зив, който е вторият месец, Соломон започна да строи Господния дом.

¶ And it came to pass in the year four hundred and eighty after the sons of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of the beginning of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

2 Д ължината на дома, който цар Соломон построи за Господа, беше шестдесет лакътя, широчината му двадесет, а височината му тридесет лакътя.

And the house which King Solomon built for the LORD, was sixty cubits long and twenty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.

3 А преддверието, откъм лицето на храма на дома, беше двадесет лакътя дълго според широчината на дома, а десет лакътя широко пред дома.

And the porch before the temple of the house was twenty cubits long, according to the width of the house; and its width was ten cubits before the house.

4 Т ой направи за дома неподвижни прозорци с решетки.

And for the house he made windows broad within and narrow without.

5 И построи стаи около дома, както около стените на храма, така и на светилището; така направи странични стаи наоколо.

And against the wall of the house, he built wings round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle; and he made chambers round about.

6 Н а по-долния етаж широчината беше пет лакътя, на средния широчината беше шест лакътя, а на третия широчината беше седем лакътя; защото върху външната страна на стената на дома той направи стеснения наоколо, за да не влизат гредите в стените на дома.

The lower wing was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide, for without in the wall of the house, he had made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.

7 К огато се строеше, домът бе иззидан с камъни, приготвени на кариерата; така че нито чук, нито брадва, нито каквото и да е желязно сечиво не се чу в дома, докато се строеше.

And the house, when it was built, was put together of perfect stones made ready before they were brought there; so that there was no hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was being built.

8 В ратата за средните странични стаи беше в дясната страна на дома; и чрез вита стълба се изкачваха в средния етаж, а от средния в третия.

The door for the middle wing was in the right side of the house; and they went up with winding stairs into the middle wing and out of the middle into the third.

9 Т ака построи дома и го свърши. И покри дома с кедрови греди и дъски.

So he built the house and finished it and covered the house with work of cedar placed in order.

10 П ристрои етажите по пет лакътя високи по целия дом; и те се държаха за дома чрез кедрови греди.

And then he built the wing against all the house, five cubits high; and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.

11 Т огава Господнето слово дойде до Соломон и каза:

¶ And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,

12 О тносно този дом, който строиш, ти казвам: Ако ходиш в наредбите Ми, изпълняваш законите Ми и пазиш всичките Ми заповеди, Аз ще утвърдя с тебе думата, която говорих на баща ти Давид;

Concerning this house which thou art building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes and execute my rights and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then I will perform my word with thee, which I spoke unto David thy father;

13 и ще обитавам сред израелтяните и няма да изоставя народа Си Израел.

and I will dwell among the sons of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.

14 Т ака Соломон построи дома и го свърши.

So Solomon built the house and finished it.

15 И обиколи стените на дома отвътре с кедрови дъски; облече стените с дърво отвътре от пода на дома до покрива, а пода на дома покри с елхови дъски.

¶ And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house and the walls of the ceiling; and he covered them on the inside with wood and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.

16 С ъщо в по-вътрешната част на дома покри едно място от двадесет лакътя с кедрови дъски от пода до върха на стените; облече го отвътре за светилището - най-святото място.

And he built twenty cubits on the end of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar; and he built an oracle in the house, which is the holy of holies.

17 А домът, т. е. предната част на храма, беше четиридесет лакътя дълъг.

And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.

18 П о кедровите дървета вътре в дома бяха издълбани пъпки и цъфнали цветове. Всичко беше от кедър. Камък не се виждаше.

And the cedar of the house within was carved with wild gourds and open flowers. All was cedar; no stone was seen.

19 Т ой приготви светилище в по-вътрешната част на дома, за да положи там ковчега на Господния завет.

And he prepared the oracle in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

20 О твътре светилището беше двадесет лакътя дълго, двадесет лакътя широко и двадесет лакътя високо. И го обкова с чисто злато, обкова и кедровия олтар.

And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length and twenty cubits wide and twenty cubits high, and he overlaid it with pure gold and likewise covered the altar which was of cedar.

21 Т ака Соломон обкова дома отвътре с чисто злато; и прокара завесата на златни верижки пред светилището, като я покри със злато.

So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold, and he closed the door of the oracle with chains of gold, and he overlaid it with gold.

22 О бковаваше със злато и целия дом, докато го завърши. Обкова със злато и целия олтар, който беше при светилището.

And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house; also the whole altar that was in front of the oracle he overlaid with gold.

23 В светилището направи два херувима от маслиново дърво по десет лакътя високи.

And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive wood, each ten cubits high.

24 Е дното крило на единия херувим беше пет лакътя дълго и другото крило - също пет лакътя. От края на едното му крило до края на другото имаше десет лакътя.

And one wing of the cherub was five cubits, and the other wing of the cherub five cubits; from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.

25 Т ака и другият херувим имаше десет лакътя между краищата на крилата си; защото двата херувима имаха една мярка и една направа.

Likewise, the other cherub was ten cubits, for both the cherubims were of one measure and one size.

26 В исочината на единия херувим беше десет лакътя, както и на другия херувим.

The height of one cherub was ten cubits, and so was the other cherub.

27 С оломон положи херувимите в средата на вътрешния дом. И крилата на херувимите бяха разперени, така че крилото на единия допираше едната стена и крилото на другия херувим допираше другата стена. А крилата се допираха едно до друго в средата на дома.

And he set the cherubims within the inner house, and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

28 И обковаха херувимите със злато.

And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.

29 А по всички стени на дома наоколо издълба образи на херувими, палми и цъфнали цветове отвътре и отвън.

And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.

30 С ъщо и пода на дома обкова със злато отвътре и отвън.

And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.

31 З а входа на светилището направи врата от маслиново дърво. Горният праг със стълбовете на вратата бяха една пета от дължината на стената.

And at the entrance of the oracle he made doors of olive wood; the lintel and side posts had five sides.

32 Д вете крила на вратата бяха от маслиново дърво. И по тях Соломон издълба херувими, палми и цъфнали цветове. И ги обкова със злато, като разстла златото върху херувимите и палмите.

The two doors were of olive wood, and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers and overlaid them with gold and covered the cherubims and the palm trees with gold.

33 Т ака и за храмовата врата направи стълбове от маслиново дърво, ограждайки отвор, широк една четвърт от дължината на стената.

In the same manner he made posts of olive wood at the entrance of the temple with four sides.

34 И две врати бяха от елхово дърво - двете крила на едната врата се сгъваха, както и двете крила на другата врата.

The two doors were of fir; the two sides of the one door were rounded, and the two leaves of the other door were rounded.

35 И издълбаха върху тях херувими, палми и цъфнали цветове; и ги покриха със злато, разстлано върху изображенията.

And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.

36 С оломон съгради вътрешния двор с три реда дялани камъни и с един ред кедрови греди.

And he built the inner court with three orders of hewed stone and an order of cedar beams.

37 П рез четвъртата година в месец Зив бяха положени основите на Господния дом,

In the fourth year the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid, in the month Zif.

38 а през единадесетата година в месец Вул, който е осмият месец, домът беше завършен във всичките си части и съвършено според плана си. Така Соломон го построи за седем години.

And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished throughout all its parts and with everything necessary. So he was seven years in building it.
