1 Т огава фарисеите и садукеите дойдоха при Исус и за да Го изпитат, поискаха Му да им покаже знамение от небето.

¶ The Pharisees and the Sadducees came to tempt him; they asked him to show them a sign from the heaven.

2 А Той им отговори: Когато се свечери, казвате: Времето ще бъде хубаво, защото небето се червенее;

But he answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather, for the heaven is glowing with an aurora.

3 а сутрин: Днес времето ще бъде лошо, защото небето се червенее намръщено. Вие знаете да разтълкувате изгледа на небето, а знаменията на времената не можете!

And in the morning, It will be foul weather today, for the heaven has an aurora and is cloudy. O ye hypocrites, ye know how to make decisions based on the face of the heaven, and regarding the signs of the times are ye unable?

4 З ъл и прелюбодеен род иска знамение, но друго знамение няма да му се даде освен знамението на (пророк) Йона. И ги остави и си отиде.

A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and no sign shall be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah. And he left them and departed.

5 А учениците, като минаха на отвъдната страна, забравиха да вземат хляб.

¶ And when his disciples were coming from the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

6 И Исус им каза: Внимавайте и се пазете от кваса на фарисеите и садукеите.

Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and keep yourselves from the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

7 И те разискваха помежду си, като казваха: Това е, защото не сме взели хляб.

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

8 А Исус, като разбра това, каза: Маловерци, защо разисквате помежду си, понеже нямате хляб?

Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves that ye have brought no bread?

9 О ще ли не разбирате, нито помните петте хляба на петте хиляди души и колко коша събрахте;

Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

10 н ито седемте хляба на четирите хиляди души и колко кошници събрахте?

Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

11 К ак не разбирате, че не заради хляба ви казах да се пазите от кваса на фарисеите и садукеите?

How is it that ye do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread that ye should keep yourselves from the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

12 Т огава те разбраха, че не им заръча да се пазят от хлебен квас, а от учението на фарисеите и садукеите. Петър изповядва вярата в Исус Христос

Then they understood that he bade them not to keep themselves from the leaven of bread, but from the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

13 А Исус, като дойде в околностите на Цезарея Филипова, попита учениците Си: Според както казват хората, Кой е Човешкият Син?

¶ When Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Who do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 А те отвърнаха: Едни казват, че е Йоан Кръстител; други пък - Илия; а други - Йеремия или един от пророците.

And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist; some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.

15 П опита ги: А вие какво казвате: Кой съм Аз?

He said unto them, But who say ye that I am?

16 С имон Петър отговори: Ти си Христос, Син на живия Бог.

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 И сус му каза: Блажен си, Симоне, сине Йонов, защото плът и кръв не са ти открили това, но Моят Отец, Който е на небесата.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon son of Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto thee, but my Father who is in the heavens.

18 П ък и Аз ти казвам, че ти си Петър и на тази скала ще съградя Моята църква; и портите на ада няма да я надвият.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, a small rock and upon the large rock I will build my congregation, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against her.

19 Щ е ти дам ключовете на небесното царство; и каквото вържеш на земята, ще бъде вързано на небесата, а каквото развържеш на земята, ще бъде развързано на небесата.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatever thou shalt bind on the earth shall be bound in the heavens, and whatever thou shalt loose on the earth shall be loosed in the heaven.

20 Т огава заръча на учениците на никого да не казват, че Той е Христос. Христос предсказва Своята смърт и възкресение

Then he charged his disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ.

21 О ттогава Исус започна да известява на учениците Си, че трябва да отиде в Йерусалим, много да пострада от старейшините, главните свещеници и книжниците, да бъде убит и на третия ден да бъде възкресен.

¶ From that time forth Jesus began to declare unto his disciples, how it was expedient for him to go unto Jerusalem and to suffer many things of the elders and the princes of the priests and of the scribes and to be killed and to be raised again the third day.

22 Т огава Петър Го дръпна настрана и започна да Го мъмри, като казваше: Бог да Ти се смили, Господи; това никак няма да стане с Теб.

Then Peter, taking him aside, began to rebuke him, saying, Lord, be it far from thee; in no wise shall this happen unto thee.

23 А Той се обърна и каза на Петър: Махни се от Мене, Сатана; ти си Ми съблазън; защото не мислиш за Божиите неща, а за човешките.

But he turned and said unto Peter, Remove thyself from before me, Satan; thou art an offence unto me, for thou dost not understand that which is of God, but that which is of men.

24 Т огава Исус каза на учениците Си: Ако иска някой да дойде след Мене, нека се отрече от себе си, нека вдигне кръста си и нека Ме последва.

¶ Then Jesus said unto his disciples, If anyone will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

25 З ащото, който иска да спаси живота си, ще го погуби; а който погуби живота си заради Мене, ще го намери.

For whosoever desires to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

26 П онеже каква полза ще има човек, ако спечели целия свят, а живота си изгуби, или какво ще даде човек в замяна на живота си?

For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 З ащото Човешкият Син ще дойде в славата на Своя Отец със Своите ангели; и тогава ще въздаде на всеки според делата му.

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he shall reward everyone according to their works.

28 И стина ви казвам: Има някои от стоящите тук, които никак няма да вкусят смърт, докато не видят Човешкия Син, идващ в царството Си.

Verily I say unto you, There are some standing here who shall not taste of death until they have seen the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
