1 П ри това Господнето слово дойде към мен и каза:

¶ Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 С ине човешки, насочи лицето си против хълма Сиир и пророкувай против него, като му кажеш:

Son of man, set thy face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against him,

3 Т ака казва Господ Йехова: Ето, хълме Сиир, Аз съм против тебе; ще простра ръката Си против теб и ще те превърна в опустошение, и ще бъдеш за учудване.

and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, O Mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee waste and solitary.

4 Щ е разоря градовете ти и ти ще запустееш; и ще познаеш, че Аз съм Господ.

I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

5 П онеже си хранил непрекъсната омраза и си предал израелтяните на силата на меча във времето на бедствието им, когато беззаконието им е стигнало до края си;

Because thou hast had perpetual enmities and hast scattered the sons of Israel to the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the extremely evil time:

6 з атова, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Йехова, ще те предам на кръв и кръв ще те преследва; понеже не си намразил кръвта, то кръв ще те преследва.

therefore, as I live, said the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: and if thou dost not hate blood, blood shall pursue thee.

7 Т ака ще направя хълма Сиир да бъде за учудване и да запустее; и ще изтребя от него и онзи, който минава, и онзи, който се връща.

And I will make Mount Seir waste and solitary and cut off from him, he that passes out and him that returns.

8 Щ е напълня планините му с убитите му; по хълмовете ти, по долините ти и по всичките ти реки ще паднат убитите от меч.

And I will fill his mountains with his dead; and in thy hills and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, they shall fall that are slain with the sword.

9 Щ е те превърна във вечно опустошение и градовете ти няма да се населят; и ще познаете, че Аз съм Господ.

I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall never be restored; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

10 П онеже си казал: Тези два народа и тези две страни ще бъдат мои и ние ще ги владеем, ако и да е бил Господ там,

¶ Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess them, whereas the LORD was there.

11 з атова, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Йехова, ще постъпя според гнева и завистта, която си показал поради омразата си към тях; и ще им бъда познат, когато те съдя.

Therefore, as I live, said the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy enmity against them; and I shall be known in them when I judge thee.

12 И ти ще познаеш, че Аз, Господ, чух всички хули, които си произнесъл против Израелевите планини, като си казал: Те запустяха; на нас са дадени за храна.

And thou shalt know that I, the LORD, have heard all thy injuries which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate; they are given us to devour.

13 С устата си говорихте високомерно против Мен и казахте много думи против Мен, Аз чух.

Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me and have multiplied your words against me; I have heard them.

14 Т ака казва Господ Йехова: Когато се весели целият свят, Аз ще те направя пуст.

Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Thus shall the whole earth rejoice when I shall make thee desolate.

15 К акто си се развеселил затова, че запустя наследството на Израелевия дом, така ще направя на тебе; ще запустееш, хълме Сиир, и целият Едом - да! - целият; и ще познаят, че Аз съм Господ.

As thou didst rejoice upon the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee; thou shalt be desolate, O Mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
