¶ The sons of Judah: Pharez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, and Shobal.

2 Р еайя, Соваловият син, роди Яат; и Яат роди Ахумай и Лаад. Тези са семействата на сарайците.

And Reaiah, the son of Shobal, begat Jahath, and Jahath begat Ahumai and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.

3 И ето синовете на Итамовия баща: Езраел, Есма и Едвас; името на сестра им беше Аселелфония,

And these were of the father of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash, and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.

4 и Фануил, Гедеровият баща, и Езер, Хусовият баща. Тези са потомците на Ор, първородния на Ефрата, Витлеемовия баща.

And Penuel, the father of Gedor, and Ezer, the father of Hushah. These were the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah, the father of Bethlehem.

5 А схор, Текуевият баща, имаше две жени - Хала и Наара.

And Ashur, the father of Tekoa, had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

6 Н аара му роди Ахузам, Ефер, Темания и Ахастар; тези бяха синовете на Наара.

And Naarah gave birth to Ahuzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari unto him. These were the sons of Naarah.

7 А синовете на Хала: Серет, Есуар и Етнан.

And the sons of Helah: Zereth, Jezoar, and Ethnan.

8 К ос роди Анув, Совива и семействата на Ахарил, Арумовия син.

And Coz begat Anub and Zobebah and the family of Aharhel, the son of Harum.

9 А Явис беше най-много почитан между братята си; и майка му го нарече Явис, като казваше: Понеже го родих в скръб.

And Jabez was more honoured than his brethren, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I gave birth to him with sorrow.

10 И Явис призова Израелевия Бог, като каза: Дано действително ме благословиш и дано разшириш пределите ми, и ръката Ти да бъде с мен, и да ме пазиш от зло, за да нямам скръб! И Бог му даде това, което поиска.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou would bless me indeed and enlarge my border and that thy hand might be with me and that thou would deliver me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

11 А Хелуви, Суевият брат, роди Махир; той беше Естоновият баща.

¶ And Chelub, the brother of Shuah, begat Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.

12 А Естон роди Ветраф, Фасей и Техин, основател на град Наас; тези са мъжете на Риха.

And Eshton begat Bethrapha, Paseah, and Tehinnah, the father of Irnahash. These are the men of Rechah.

13 А Кенезови синове бяха: Готониил и Сарайя; а Готониилов син - Атат.

The sons of Kenaz: Othniel and Seraiah. The sons of Othniel: Hathath

14 А Меонотай роди Офра; а Сарайя роди Йоав, родоначалника на долината на дърводелците, защото бяха дърводелци.

and Meonothai, who begat Ophrah. And Seraiah begat Joab, the father of the inhabitants of the valley of Charashim, for they were craftsmen.

15 А синовете на Халев, Ефониевия син: Иру, Иле и Наам; а Иловият син беше Кенез.

The sons of Caleb, the son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam; and Kenaz was the son of Elah.

16 И Ялелеилови синове: Зиф, Зифа, Тирия и Асареил.

The sons of Jehaleleel: Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.

17 А Езраеви синове: Етер, Меред, Ефер и Ялон; а жената на Меред роди Мариам, Самая и Есва, Естемовия баща;

And the sons of Ezra: Jether, Mered, Epher, and Jalon; and also begat Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah, the father of Eshtemoa.

18 а другата му жена, Юдея, роди Яред, Гедоровия баща, Хевер, Соховия баща, и Екутиил, Заноевия баща. И тези са синовете на Вития, фараоновата дъщеря, която взе Меред;

And his wife Jehudijah gave birth unto him Jered, the father of Gedor, and Heber, the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel, the father of Zanoah. And these are the sons of Bithiah, the daughter of Pharaoh, which Mered took.

19 и синовете на Одиевата жена, сестра Нахамова, бяха бащата на гармиеца Кеила и маахатеца Естемо.

And the sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the father of Keilah, the Garmite, and Eshtemoa, the Maachathite.

20 А Симонови синове бяха: Амион, Рина, Венанан и Тилон; и Есиеви синове: Зохет и Вен-зохет.

And the sons of Shimon: Amnon, Rinnah, Benhanan, and Tilon. And the sons of Ishi: Zoheth and Benzoheth.

21 С иновете на Шела, Юдовия син, бяха Ир, баща на Лиха, и Лаада, баща на Мариса, и семействата от дома на тези, които работеха висон, от Асвеевия дом,

The sons of Shelah, the son of Judah: Er, the father of Lecah, and Laadah, the father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of those that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea,

22 и Йоаким, и мъжете на Хозива, и Йоас, и Сараф, които владееха в Моав и Ясувилехем. Това е според стари записки.

and Jokim and the men of Chozeba, and Joash and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubilehem. And these are ancient words.

23 Т е бяха грънчарите и жителите в Нетаим и Гедира; там живееха с царя, за да му работят. Симеоновото племе

These were the potters and those that dwelt among plants and hedges, who dwelt there with the king for his work.

24 С имеонови синове бяха: Намуил, Ямин, Ярив, Зара и Саул;

¶ The sons of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Saul;

25 н егов син - Селум; негов син - Мавсам; негов син - Масма.

also Shallum, his son, Mibsam, his son, and Mishma, his son.

26 А Масмови синове: син му Амуил; негов син - Закхур; негов син - Семей.

The sons of Mishma: Hamuel, his son, Zacchur, his son, Shimei his son.

27 А Семей роди шестнадесет синове и шест дъщери; братята му обаче нямаха много синове, нито цялото им семейство се умножи като Юдовите потомци.

And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but his brethren did not have many children, neither did all their family multiply, like the sons of Judah.

28 Т е се заселиха във Вирсавее, Молада и Асар-суал,

And they dwelt at Beersheba and Moladah and Hazarshual

29 в ъв Вала, Есем и Толад,

and at Bilhah and at Ezem and at Tolad

30 в ъв Ватуил, Хорма и Сиклаг,

and at Bethuel and at Hormah and at Ziklag

31 в ъв Вет-мархавот, Асар-сусим, Вет-вирей и Саараим; тези бяха техните градове до царуването на Давид.

and at Bethmarcaboth and Hazarsusim and at Bethbirei and at Shaaraim. These were their cities until the reign of David.

32 И селищата им бяха: Итам, Аим, Римон, Тохен и Асан, пет града,

And their villages were Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen, and Ashan, five cities;

33 и всичките села, които бяха около тези градове, до Ваал; тези бяха местожителствата им и родословията им.

and all their villages that were round about the same cities, unto Baal. These were their habitations and their genealogy.

34 А Месовав, Ямлих, Йоса, Амасиевият син,

And Meshobab and Jamlech and Joshah, the son of Amaziah,

35 Й оил, Ииуй, син на Йосивия, син на Сарайя, син на Асиил,

and Joel and Jehu, the son of Josibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel,

36 и Елиоинай, Яков, Есохайя, Асайя, Адиил, Есимиил, Ванайя

and Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah,

37 и Зиза, син на Сифий, син на Алон, син на Едайя, син на Симрий, син на Семая -

and Ziza, the son of Shiphi, the son of Allon, the son of Jedaiah, the son of Shimri, the son of Shemaiah.

38 т ези, споменати по имена, бяха първенци на семействата им; и бащините им домове нараснаха твърде много.

These mentioned by their names were princes in their families, and they were multiplied greatly in the house of their fathers.

39 А Симеоновите потомци отидоха чак до прохода на Гедор на изток от долината, за да търсят паша за стадата си.

And they came unto the entrance of Gedor, even unto the east side of the valley, to seek pasture for their flocks.

40 И намериха тлъста и добра паша; и земята беше широка, спокойна и мирна, защото тези, които преди това живееха там, бяха Хамови потомци.

And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide and spacious and quiet and peaceable, for the sons of Ham had dwelt there of old.

41 И тези, написани по име, дойдоха в дните на Юдейския цар Езекия и разрушиха шатрите им, и поразиха моавците, които намериха там, и ги погубиха така, че не остана нито един от тях до днес, и на тяхно място сами се заселиха, защото там имаше паша за стадата им.

And these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah and smote their tents and the habitations that were found there and destroyed them utterly unto this day and dwelt in their place because there was pasture there for their flocks.

42 А някои от тях, именно петстотин мъже от Симеоновите потомци, отидоха в хълмистата земя Сиир, като имаха за свои водители Есиевите синове: Фелатия, Неария, Рафайя и Озиил,

And likewise five hundred men of them, of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, having for their captains Pelatiah and Neariah and Rephaiah and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.

43 и поразиха останалите от амаличаните, които бяха оцелели, и се заселиха там, където са и до днес.

And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped and dwelt there unto this day.
