¶ Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.

2 И сав си взе жени от Ханаанските дъщери: Ада, дъщеря на хета Елон; и Оливема, Анаевата дъщеря, внучка на евееца Севегон;

Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon, the Hittite; Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, the Hivite;

3 и Исмаиловата дъщеря Васемата, сестра на Навиот.

and Bashemath, Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebajoth.

4 А да роди на Исав Елифаз; Васемата роди Рагуил.

And Adah bore to Esau Eliphaz, and Bashemath bore Reuel,

5 А Оливема роди Еус, Йеглом и Корей. Тези са синовете на Исав, които му се родиха в Ханаанската земя.

and Aholibamah bore Jeush and Jaalam and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, who were born unto him in the land of Canaan.

6 А Исав взе жените си, синовете си, дъщерите си и всички хора от дома си, добитъка си, всичките си животни и цялото си имущество, което беше придобил в Ханаанската земя, и отиде в една земя, далеч от брат си Яков.

And Esau took his wives and his sons and his daughters and all the persons of his house and his cattle and all his beasts and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan, and went into another country from the face of his brother Jacob.

7 З ащото имуществото им беше толкова много, че не можеха да живеят заедно; земята, където престояваха, не можеше да ги побере поради добитъка им.

For their riches were more than that they might dwell together, and the land in which they were strangers could not bear them because of their livestock.

8 И така, Исав се засели на Сиирската поляна. Исав е Едом.

Thus dwelt Esau in Mount Seir; Esau is Edom.

9 Е то родословието на Исав, праотец на едомците в Сиирската поляна;

¶ And these are the lineages of Esau, the father of the Edomites in Mount Seir.

10 е то имената на Исавовите синове: Елифаз, син от Исавовата жена Ада, Рагуил, син от Исавовата жена Васемата.

These are the names of Esau’s sons: Eliphaz, the son of Adah, the wife of Esau; Reuel, the son of Bashemath, the wife of Esau.

11 А синовете на Елифаз бяха: Теман, Омар, Сефо, Готом и Кенез.

And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz.

12 А Тамна беше наложница на Исавовия син Елифаз и роди на Елифаз Амалик; тези са синовете от Исавовата жена Ада.

And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz, Esau’s son, and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek: these are the sons of Adah, Esau’s wife.

13 И ето синовете на Рагуил: Нахат, Зар, Сам и Миз; тези са синовете на Исавовата жена Васемата.

And these are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah; these were the sons of Bashemath, Esau’s wife.

14 И ето синовете от Оливема, Анаевата дъщеря, Севегоновата внучка, Исавовата жена: тя роди на Исав Еус, Еглом и Корей.

And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: she gave birth unto Esau Jeush, Jaalam, and Korah.

15 Е то първенците на Исавовите синове; синовете на Исавовия първороден Елифаз: главатар Теман, главатар Омар, главатар Сефо, главатар Кенез,

These are dukes of the sons of Esau. The sons of Eliphaz, the firstborn son of Esau: duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,

duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Adah.

17 И ето синовете на Исавовия син Рагуил: главатар Нахат, главатар Зар, главатар Сам, главатар Миз; тези са главатарите, произлезли от Рагуил в Едомската земя; тези са синовете от Исавовата жена Васемата.

And these are the sons of Reuel, Esau’s son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau’s wife.

18 А ето синовете от Исавовата жена Оливема: главатар Еус, главатар Еглом, главатар Корей; тези са главатарите, произлезли от Анаевата дъщеря Оливема, Исавовата жена.

And these are the sons of Aholibamah, Esau’s wife: duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah; these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.

19 Т ези са синовете на Исав, който е Едом, и тези са главатарите им.

These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.

20 Е то синовете на корееца Сиир, които живееха в онази земя: Лотан, Совал, Севегон, Ана,

¶ These are the sons of Seir, the Horite, who inhabited the land: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,

21 Д исон, Асар и Дисан; тези са главатарите, произлезли от хорейците, Сиировите деца, в Едомската земя.

Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan; these are the dukes of the Horites, the sons of Seir in the land of Edom.

22 А синовете на Лотан бяха Хори и Емам; и Лотанова сестра беше Тамна.

And the sons of Lotan were Hori and Hemam, and Lotan’s sister was Timna.

23 А ето синовете на Совал: Алван, Манахат, Гевал, Сефо и Онам.

And the sons of Shobal were these: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.

24 И ето синовете на Севегон: Ая и Ана; Ана е този, който намери горещите извори в пустинята, като пасеше ослите на баща си Севегон.

And these are the sons of Zibeon: both Ajah and Anah; this was that Anah that invented mules in the wilderness as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.

25 И ето Анаевите деца: Дисон и Оливема, Анаевата дъщеря.

And the children of Anah were these: Dishon and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.

26 И ето синовете на Дисон: Амадан, Асван, Итран и Харан.

And these are the sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.

27 Е то синовете на Асар: Валаан, Заван и Акан.

The sons of Ezer are these: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan.

28 Е то синовете на Дисан: Уз и Аран.

The sons of Dishan are these: Uz and Aran.

29 Е то главатарите, произлезли от хорейците: главатар Лотан, главатар Совал, главатар Севегон, главатар Ана,

These are the dukes that came of the Horites: duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,

duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan; these are the dukes that came of Hori; by their dukedoms in the land of Seir.

¶ And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the sons of Israel.

And Bela, the son of Beor, reigned in Edom, and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

33 К ато умря Вела, вместо него се възцари Йовав, син на Зара от Восора.

And Bela died, and Jobab, the son of Zerah of Bozrah, reigned in his stead.

34 К ато умря Йовав, вместо него се възцари Хусам, от земята на теманците.

And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.

35 К ато умря Хусам, вместо него се възцари Адад, син на Вадад, който порази мадиамците на моавското поле; а името на града му беше Авит.

And Husham died, and Hadad, the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Avith.

36 К ато умря Адад, вместо него се възцари Самла от Марсека.

And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

37 К ато умря Самла, вместо него се възцари Саул от Роовот, който е при Ефрат.

And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

38 К ато умря Саул, вместо него се възцари Вааланан, син на Аховора.

And Saul died, and Baalhanan, the son of Achbor, reigned in his stead.

39 К ато умря Вааланан, Аховоровият син, вместо него се възцари Адар; а името на града му беше Пау; и името на жена му беше Метавеил, дъщеря на Метред, Мезаавова внучка.

And Baalhanan, the son of Achbor, died, and Hadar reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names: duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,

duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

42 г лаватар Кенез, главатар Теман, главатар Мивсар,

duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these were the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is the Esau, the father of Edom.
