1 ( По слав. 47.) Псаломска песен за Кореевите синове. Велик е Господ; и твърде достохвален в града на нашия Бог, на Своя свят хълм.

¶ Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

2 К расив по възвисеността си, радост на цялата земя е хълмът Сион, където по северните му страни е градът на великия Цар.

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3 В палатите му Бог е познат като прибежище.

God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4 З ащото, ето, царете се събраха; всички преминаха.

For, behold, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5 Т е, като видяха, почудиха се, смутиха се, спуснаха се в бяг.

They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled and hasted away.

6 Т репет ги обзе там, болки като на раждаща жена.

Fear took hold upon them there and pain as of a woman in travail.

7 С източния вятър Ти съкрушаваш тарсийските кораби.

Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8 К аквото бяхме чули, това и видяхме в града на Господа на Силите, в града на нашия Бог, който Бог и довека ще утвърди. (Села.)

¶ As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of the hosts, in the city of our God; God will establish it for ever. Selah.

9 Р азмишляваме, Боже, за Твоето милосърдие сред Твоя храм.

We have conceived according to thy mercy, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10 С поред името Ти, Боже, е и хвалата Ти до краищата на земята; десницата Ти е пълна с правда.

According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth; thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 Н ека се весели хълмът Сион, нека се радват Юдейските дъщери заради Твоите справедливи отсъждания.

Let Mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad because of thy judgments.

12 О биколете Сион и го обходете; пребройте кулите му;

Walk about Zion and go round about her; tell the towers thereof.

13 о бърнете внимание на укрепленията му; разгледайте палатите му, за да го разказвате на поколението след вас.

Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces that ye may tell it to the generation following.

14 З ащото Този Бог е наш Бог до вечни векове; Той ще ни ръководи дори до смърт.

For this God is our God eternally and for ever; he will be our guide even unto death.
