1 Р одословието на Исус Христос, син на Давид, син на Авраам.

¶ The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, son of David, son of Abraham.

2 О т Авраам се роди Исаак; от Исаак се роди Яков; от Яков се родиха Юда и братята му;

Abraham begat Isaac; Isaac begat Jacob; Jacob begat Judas and his brothers;

3 о т Юда се родиха Фарес и Зара от Тамар; от Фарес се роди Есрон; от Есрон се роди Арам;

Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; Phares begat Esrom; Esrom begat Aram;

4 о т Арам се роди Аминадав; от Аминадав се роди Наасон; от Наасон се роди Салмон;

Aram begat Aminadab; Aminadab begat Naasson; Naasson begat Salmon;

5 н а Салмон се роди Вооз от Рахав; на Вооз се роди Овид от Рут; от Овид се роди Есей;

Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; Booz begat Obed of Ruth; Obed begat Jesse;

6 а от Есей се роди цар Давид. На Давид се роди Соломон от Уриевата жена;

Jesse begat David the king; David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;

7 о т Соломон се роди Ровоам; от Ровоам се роди Авия; от Авия се роди Аса;

Solomon begat Roboam; Roboam begat Abia; Abia begat Asa;

8 о т Аса се роди Йосафат; от Йосафат се роди Йорам; от Йорам се роди Озия;

Asa begat Josaphat; Josaphat begat Joram; Joram begat Ozias;

9 о т Озия се роди Йотам; от Йотам се роди Ахаз; от Ахаз се роди Езекия;

Ozias begat Joatham; Joatham begat Achaz; Achaz begat Ezekias;

10 о т Езекия се роди Манасия; от Манасия се роди Амон; от Амон се роди Йосия;

Ezekias begat Manasses; Manasses begat Amon; Amon begat Josias;

11 а от Йосия се родиха Йехония и братята му по времето на преселението във Вавилон.

Josias begat Jechonias and his brothers, about the time they were carried away to Babylon;

12 А след преселението във Вавилон: от Йехония се роди Салатиил; от Салатиил се роди Зоровавел;

after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; Salathiel begat Zorobabel;

13 о т Зоровавел се роди Авиуд; от Авиуд се роди Елиаким; от Елиаким се роди Азор;

Zorobabel begat Abiud; Abiud begat Eliakim; Eliakim begat Azor;

14 о т Азор се роди Садок; от Садок се роди Ахим; от Ахим се роди Елиуд;

Azor begat Sadoc; Sadoc begat Achim; Achim begat Eliud;

15 о т Елиуд се роди Елеазар; от Елеазар се роди Матан; от Матан се роди Яков;

Eliud begat Eleazar; Eleazar begat Matthan; Matthan begat Jacob;

16 а от Яков се роди Йосиф, мъжът на Мария, от която се роди Исус, Който се нарича Христос.

Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

17 И така, всички родове от Авраам до Давид са четиринадесет; от Давид до преселението във Вавилон - четиринадесет рода; и от преселението във Вавилон до Христос - четиринадесет рода. Рождението на Исус Христос

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; from the carrying away into Babylon unto the Christ are fourteen generations.

18 А рождението на Исус Христос стана така: след като майка Му Мария беше сгодена за Йосиф, преди да се бяха съединили, тя се оказа бременна от Святия Дух.

¶ Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: That being, his mother Mary espoused to Joseph (before they came together) she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

19 А мъжът ѝ Йосиф, понеже беше праведен, а пък не искаше да я изложи, намисли да я напусне тайно.

Then Joseph her husband, being just and not willing to expose her publicly, desired to leave her secretly.

20 Н о когато намисли това, ето, ангел от Господа му се яви насън и каза: Йосифе, сине Давидов, не бой се да вземеш жена си Мария; защото заченатото в нея е от Святия Дух.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in dreams, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

21 Т я ще роди Син, Когото ще наречеш Исус; защото Той е, Който ще спаси народа Си от греховете му.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.

22 А всичко това стана, за да се сбъдне изреченото от Господа чрез пророка, който казва:

Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

23 " Ето, девицата ще зачене и ще роди син; и ще го нарекат Емануил", което значи: Бог с нас.

Behold, a virgin shall conceive and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God With Us.

24 И така, Йосиф, като стана от сън, направи, както му заповяда ангелът от Господа, и взе жена си;

Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him and took unto him his wife

25 н о не я познаваше, докато тя роди първородния си син; и Го нарече Исус.

and knew her not until she had brought forth her firstborn son, and he called his name Jesus.
