1 З ащо, ако времената не са скрити от Всемогъщия, онези, които Го познават, не виждат дните Му за съд ?

¶ Why, seeing that times are not hidden from the Almighty, do those that know him not see his days?

2 Е дни преместват межди, грабят стада и ги пасат;

Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks and feed thereof.

3 о ткарват осела на сирачетата; вземат в залог говедото на вдовицата;

They drive away the ass of the fatherless; they take the widow’s ox for a pledge.

4 и зтласкват бедните от пътя; сиромасите на земята се крият заедно от тях.

They turn the needy out of the way; and all the poor of the earth hide themselves from them.

5 Е то, като диви осли в пустинята излизат по работата си, подраняват да търсят храна; пустинята им доставя храна за децата им.

Behold, as wild asses in the desert, they go forth to their work, rising early for a prey; the wilderness yields food for them and for their children.

6 Ж ънат фуража в нивата, за да го ядат, и берат лозата на неправедника;

In the field they reap their fodder, and the wicked gather the vintage that is not theirs.

7 ц яла нощ лежат голи, без дрехи, и нямат завивка в студа;

They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.

8 и змокрят се от планинските дъждове и прегръщат скалата, понеже нямат прибежище.

They are wet with the floods of the mountains and embrace the rock for want of a covering.

9 Д руги грабват сирачето от съседите и вземат залог от сиромаха.

They pluck the fatherless from the breast and take a pledge of the poor.

10 Г оли, тези ходят крадешком без дреха, и гладни носят сноповете;

They cause the naked to go without clothing, and they take away the sheaves from the hungry.

11 и зстискват дървено масло в техните огради, тъпчат линовете им, а остават жадни.

They press oil within their walls and tread their winepresses and suffer thirst.

12 У миращите охкат из града и душата на ранените вика; но пак Бог не гледа това безумие. Слово срещу противниците на светлината

Men groan from out of the city, and the souls of the dead cry out; yet God did not hinder them.

13 Д руги са от противниците на светлината; не знаят пътищата ѝ и не стоят в пътеките ѝ.

¶ They are among those that rebel against the light; they have never known its ways nor abided in its paths.

14 У биецът става в зори и убива сиромаха и нуждаещия се, а нощем е като крадец.

The murderer rises with the light, kills the poor and the needy, and in the night is as a thief.

15 Т ака и окото на прелюбодееца очаква да се мръкне, като казва: Око няма да ме види; и променя лицето си.

The eye of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me; and disguises his face.

16 В тъмнината пробиват къщи; те се затварят през деня, светлина не познават.

In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime; they do not know the light.

17 З ащото за всички тях зората е като мрачната сянка; понеже познават ужасите на мрачната сянка.

For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death; if they are known, the terrors of the shadow of death come over them.

18 Б ързо се отвличат по лицето на водата; делът им е проклет на земята; не се обръщат вече към пътя за лозята.

¶ They are swift upon the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth; they never come by the way of the vineyards.

19 К акто сушата и топлината поглъщат водата от снега, така и преизподнята - грешните.

Drought and heat consume the snow waters; so does Sheol consume those who have sinned.

20 М айчината утроба ще ги забрави; червеят ще има сладко ястие в тях; няма вече да си спомнят за тях; и неправдата ще се строши като дърво.

The Merciful One shall forget them; the worm shall feed sweetly on them; they shall never be remembered again; and iniquity shall be broken as a tree.

21 П оглъщат неплодната, която не ражда; и на вдовицата не правят добро.

He afflicted the barren woman that did not conceive and never did good unto the widow.

22 В лачат и мощните със силата си; те стават и никой не е в безопасност през живота си.

He furthered the violent with his power; he did not lend to anyone in his life.

23 Б ог им дава безопасност и те се успокояват с нея. Но очите Му са върху пътищата им.

If he gave credit to some to take them over, his eyes were upon their ways.

24 В ъздигнаха се за малко и ето че ги няма! Снишават се; и както всички други, си отиват и се прекършват, както главите на класовете.

They were exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all others and cut off as the tops of the heads of grain.

25 И сега, ако не е така, кой ще ме изкара лъжец и ще превърне в нищо думите ми?

And if it is not so now, who will make me a liar or reduce my speech to nothing?
