1 А ето началниците на бащините им домове, ето и родословието на онези, които излязоха с мен от Вавилон при царуването на цар Артаксеркс.

¶ These are now the heads of their fathers, and this is the genealogy of those that went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes, the king:

2 О т Финеесовите потомци - Гирсон; от Итамаровите потомци - Даниил; от Давидовите потомци - Хатус.

Of the sons of Phinehas; Gershon: of the sons of Ithamar; Daniel: of the sons of David; Hattush.

3 О т потомците на Сехания, от Фаросовите потомци - Захария, и с него бяха преброени по родословието на всички от мъжки пол сто и петдесет души.

Of the sons of Shechaniah, of the sons of Pharosh; Zechariah: and with him were reckoned by genealogy of the males one hundred and fifty.

4 О т Фаат-Моавовите потомци - Зарайевият син Елиоинай, и с него двеста души от мъжки пол.

Of the sons of Pahathmoab; Elihoenai, the son of Zerahiah, and with him two hundred males.

5 О т Сеханиевите потомци - Яазииловият син, и с него триста души от мъжки пол.

Of the sons of Shechaniah; the son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males.

6 О т Адиновите потомци - Йонатановият син Евед, и с него петдесет души от мъжки пол.

Of the sons also of Adin; Ebed, the son of Jonathan, and with him fifty males.

7 О т Еламовите потомци - Готолиевият син Исая, и с него седемдесет души от мъжки пол.

And of the sons of Elam; Jeshaiah, the son of Athaliah, and with him seventy males.

8 О т Сефатиевите потомци - Михаиловият син Зевадия, и с него осемдесет души от мъжки пол.

And of the sons of Shephatiah; Zebadiah, the son of Michael, and with him eighty males.

9 О т Йоавовите потомци - Ехииловият син Авдий, и с него двеста и осемнадесет души от мъжки пол.

Of the sons of Joab; Obadiah, the son of Jehiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen males.

10 О т Селомитовите потомци - Йосифиевият син, и с него сто и шестдесет души от мъжки пол.

And of the sons of Shelomith; the son of Josiphiah, and with him one hundred and sixty males.

11 О т Винаевите потомци - Захария, Виваевият син, и с него двадесет и осем души от мъжки пол.

And of the sons of Bebai; Zechariah, the son of Bebai, and with him twenty-eight males.

12 О т Азгадовите потомци - Йоанан, Акатановият син, и с него сто и десет души от мъжки пол.

And of the sons of Azgad; Johanan, the son of Hakkatan, and with him one hundred and ten males.

13 О т следващите, Адоникамовите потомци - следните, чиито имена са: Елифалет, Еиил и Семая, и с тях седемдесет души от мъжки пол.

And of the last sons of Adonikam, whose names are these: Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them sixty males.

14 А от Вагуевите потомци - Утай и Завуд, и с тях седемдесет души от мъжки пол.

Of the sons also of Bigvai; Uthai and Zabbud and with them seventy males.

15 Т ези събрах при реката, която тече към Аава, и там се разположихме на стан три дни; а като прегледах народа и свещениците, не намерих там нито един от потомците на Левий.

And I gathered them together to the river that runs to Ahava, and there we encamped three days, and having searched among the people and the priests, I did not find there any of the sons of Levi.

16 Т огава пратих за по-видните хора Елиезер, Ариил, Семая, Елнатан, Ярив, Елнатан, Натан, Захария и Месулам, и за благоразумните мъже Йоярив и Елнатан,

Then I commissioned Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah, and Meshullam, principals, also Joiarib and Elnathan, men of understanding;

17 и им дадох поръчка до началника на мястото Касифия - Идо; и им казах какво да казват на Идо и на братята му, нетинимите на мястото Касифия, да ни изпратят служители за дома на нашия Бог.

and I sent them unto Iddo, the captain at the place of Casiphia, and I put words in their mouth that they should speak unto Iddo and to his brethren, the Nethinims, at the place of Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.

18 И понеже добрата ръка на нашия Бог беше над нас, те ни доведоха един разумен човек от потомците на Маалия, син на Левий, син на Израел; също и Саравия със синовете му и братята му, осемнадесет души;

And by the good hand of our God upon us, they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;

19 и Асавия и с него Исая от Мерариевите потомци, братята му и синовете им, двадесет души;

and Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;

20 и от нетинимите, които Давид и първенците бяха определили за прислуга на левитите, двеста и двадесет нетиними. Всички те бяха споменати по име.

also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the ministry of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.

21 Т огава прогласих пост там, при реката Аава, за да се смирим пред нашия Бог и да просим от Него добър път за нас, за децата ни и за целия ни имот.

¶ Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us and for our little ones and for all our substance.

22 З ащото ме беше срам да поискам от царя войници и конници, за да ни помагат против неприятели по пътя; понеже бяхме говорили на царя: Ръката на нашия Бог е за добро над всички, които Го търсят, а силата и гневът Му са против всички, които Го изоставят.

For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to defend us against the enemy in the way because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all those that seek him for good; but his power and his wrath is against all those that forsake him.

23 И така, постихме и се молихме на нашия Бог за това, и Той ни послуша.

So we fasted and besought our God for this, and he was intreated of us.

24 Т огава отделих дванадесет от главните свещеници - Саравия, Асавия и с тях десет от братята им -

¶ Then I separated twelve of the principals of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,

25 и претеглих от среброто, златото и вещите, които царят, съветниците му и първенците му, и целият Израел, който се намираше там, бяха дали в принос за дома на нашия Бог;

and weighed unto them the silver and the gold and the vessels, the offering for the house of our God, which the king and his counsellors and his princes and all those that were of Israel had offered.

26 и така, претеглих в ръката им шестстотин и петдесет таланта сребро, сто таланта сребърни вещи, сто таланта злато,

I weighed, therefore, unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver and silver vessels of one hundred talents and of gold one hundred talents;

27 д вадесет златни блюда, хиляда драхми на тегло и два съда от добра лъскава мед, скъпоценни като злато.

also twenty basins of gold, of a thousand drams, and two vessels of clean brass, precious as gold.

28 И им казах: Вие сте святи на Господа и вещите са святи; защото среброто и златото са доброволен принос на Господа, Бога на бащите ви;

And I said unto them, Ye are holiness unto the LORD; the vessels are holiness also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.

29 и така, внимавайте и ги пазете, докато ги претеглите пред началниците на свещениците и левитите и началниците на Израелевите бащини домове в Йерусалим, в стаите на Господния дом.

Watch and keep them until you weigh them before the princes of the priests and the Levites and of the princes of the fathers of Israel in Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the LORD.

30 И така, свещениците и левитите приеха среброто, златото и вещите в размер на това тегло, за да ги донесат в Йерусалим в дома на нашия Бог.

The priests and the Levites received the weight of the silver and of the gold and of the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.

31 Т огава, на дванадесетия ден от първия месец станахме от реката Аава, за да отидем в Йерусалим; и ръката на нашия Бог беше над нас за добро и ни избави от неприятелска ръка и от причакващи по пътя.

¶ And we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth of the first month to go to Jerusalem; and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and of such as lay in wait by the way.

32 И като стигнахме в Йерусалим, седяхме там три дни.

And we came to Jerusalem and abode there three days.

33 А на четвъртия ден в дома на нашия Бог среброто, златото и вещите бяха претеглени в ръката на Меримота, син на свещеник Урия, с когото беше Елеазар, Финеесовият син, и с тях левитите Йозавад, Исусовият син, и Ноадия, Вануевият син -

Now on the fourth day the silver and the gold and the vessels were weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth, the son of Uriah, the priest; and with him was Eleazar, the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad, the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah, the son of Binnui, Levites;

34 в сичко бе предадено под брой и по тегло; и цялото тегло бе същевременно записано.

by number and by weight of each one; and all the weight was written at that time.

35 З авърналите се от плен, които бяха дошли от заточение, принесоха всеизгаряния на Израелевия Бог: дванадесет телета за целия Израел, деветдесет и шест овена, седемдесет и седем агнета и дванадесет козела в принос за грях, всички тях във всеизгаряния на Господа.

Those that had been carried away, the sons of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, twelve he goats as sin; all this was a burnt offering unto the LORD.

36 И предадоха царските поръчки на царските сатрапи и на областните управители отсам реката; и те помагаха на народа и на Божия дом.

And they delivered the king’s commissions unto the king’s lieutenants and captains of the other side the river, which favoured the people and the house of God.
