2 R eaiah, figlio di Shobal, generò Jahath; Jahath generò Ahumai e Lahad. Queste furono le famiglie degli Tsorathei.

And Reaiah, the son of Shobal, begat Jahath, and Jahath begat Ahumai and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.

3 Q uesti furono i figli del padre di Etam: Jezreel, Ishma e Idbash; la loro sorella si chiamava Hatselelponi.

And these were of the father of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash, and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.

4 P enuel fu padre di Ghedor; Ezer fu padre di Hushah. Questi furono i figli di Hur, primogenito di Efratah, padre di Betlemme.

And Penuel, the father of Gedor, and Ezer, the father of Hushah. These were the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah, the father of Bethlehem.

5 A shur, padre di Tekoa ebbe due mogli, Helah e Naarah.

And Ashur, the father of Tekoa, had two wives, Helah and Naarah.

17 I figli di Ezrah furono Jether, Mered, Efer e Jalon. La moglie di Mered partorí Miriam, Shammai e Ishbah, padre di Eshtemo.

And the sons of Ezra: Jether, Mered, Epher, and Jalon; and also begat Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah, the father of Eshtemoa.

18 ( Sua moglie Jehudijah partorí Jered padre di Ghedor, Heber padre di Sokoh e Jekuthiel padre di Zanoah). Questi furono i figli di Bithiah, figlia del Faraone, che Mered aveva presa in moglie.

And his wife Jehudijah gave birth unto him Jered, the father of Gedor, and Heber, the father of Socho, and Jekuthiel, the father of Zanoah. And these are the sons of Bithiah, the daughter of Pharaoh, which Mered took.
