¶ The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is no one that does good.

2 L 'Eterno guarda dal cielo sui figli degli uomini per vedere se vi sia qualcuno che abbia intendimento, che cerchi DIO.

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any that did understand and seek God.

3 S i sono tutti sviati, si sono tutti corrotti; non c'è alcuno che faccia il bene, neppure uno.

They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is no one that does good, no, not one.

4 N on hanno alcun intendimento tutti gli operatori di iniquità, che mangiano il mio popolo come se mangiassero del pane e non invocano l'Eterno?

¶ The workers of iniquity certainly know this; those who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the LORD.

5 L à saranno presi da una grande paura, perché DIO è con la gente giusta.

There they were in great fear: for God is with the nation of the righteous.

6 V oi cercate di frustrare i piani del misero, perché l'Eterno è il suo rifugio.

Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor because the LORD is his hope.

7 O h! Venga pure da Sion la salvezza, d'Israele! Quando l'Eterno ricondurrà dalla cattività il suo popolo, Giacobbe esulterà, Israele si rallegrerà.

Oh that the saving health of Israel were come out of Zion! When the LORD turns back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
