1 O r i capi-famiglia dei Leviti si presentarono al sacerdote Eleazar, a Giosuè figlio di Nun e ai capifamiglia delle tribú dei figli d'Israele,

¶ Then the heads of the fathers of the Levites came near unto Eleazar the priest and unto Joshua, the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel;

2 e parlarono loro a Sciloh, nel paese di Canaan, dicendo: L'Eterno comandò, per mezzo di Mosè, che ci fossero assegnate delle città da abitare con i loro terreni da pascolo per il nostro bestiame».

and they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in with the suburbs thereof for our beasts.

3 C osì i figli d'Israele assegnarono, prendendole dalla loro eredità, ai Leviti le seguenti città con i loro terreni da pascolo, secondo il comandamento dell'Eterno.

Then the sons of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their possessions, according to the word of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs.

4 S i tirò a sorte per le famiglie dei Kehathiti; e i figli del sacerdote Aaronne, che erano Leviti, ebbero in sorte tredici città prese dalla tribú di Giuda, dalla tribú di Simeone e dalla tribú di Beniamino.

And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites; and the sons of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah and out of the tribe of Simeon and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.

5 A l resto dei figli di Kehath toccarono in sorte dieci città dalle famiglie della tribù di Efraim, dalla tribú di Dan e dalla mezza tribù di Manasse.

And the rest of the sons of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim and out of the tribe of Dan and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

6 A i di Ghershon toccarono in sorte: tredici città prese dalle famiglie della tribú d'Issacar, dalla tribú di Ascer, dalla tribú di Neftali e dalla mezza tribú di Manasse in Bashan.

And the sons of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar and out of the tribe of Asher and out of the tribe of Naphtali and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

7 f igli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie, toccarono dodici città prese dalla tribú di Ruben, dalla tribú di Gad e dalla tribú di Zabulon.

The sons of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of Reuben and out of the tribe of Gad and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

8 I figli d'Israele diedero dunque in sorte queste città con i loro terreni da pascolo ai Leviti, come l'Eterno aveva comandato per mezzo di Mosè.

Thus the sons of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the LORD had commanded by the hand of Moses.

9 C osì essi diedero prendedole dalla tribù dei figli di Giuda e dalla tribú dei figli di Simeone, le città qui nominate

¶ And they gave out of the tribe of the sons of Judah and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon these cities which are here mentioned by name;

10 c he andarono ai figli di Aaronne appartenenti alle famiglie dei Kehathiti figli di Levi, perché la prima porzione sorteggiata toccò a loro.

and the first lot was of the sons of Aaron, of the family of Kohath, of the sons of Levi;

11 F urono dunque date loro Kirjath-arba, cioè Hebron, (Arba fu padre di Anak), nella regione montuosa di Giuda, con i suoi terreni da pascolo tutt'intorno;

and they gave them the city of Arba of the father of Anak, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah, with its suburbs round about.

12 m a diedero il territorio della città e i loro villaggi a Caleb, figlio di Jefunneh, come sua proprietà.

But the fields of the city and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

13 I noltre diedero ai figli del sacerdote Aaronne, Hebron (come città di rifugio per l'omicida) con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Libnah con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

Thus they gave to the sons of Aaron the priest Hebron with its suburbs, to be a city of refuge for manslayers and Libnah with its suburbs

14 J attir con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Eshtemoa con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

and Jattir with its suburbs and Eshtemoa with its suburbs

15 H olon con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Debir con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

and Holon with its suburbs and Debir with its suburbs

16 A in con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Juttah con i suoi terreni da pascolo e Beth-Scemesh con i suoi terreni da pascolo: nove città prese da queste due tribú.

and Ain with its suburbs and Juttah with its suburbs and Bethshemesh with its suburbs: nine cities out of those two tribes.

17 D alla tribú di Beniamino, Gabaon con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Gheba con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its suburbs, Geba with its suburbs,

18 A natoth con i suoi terreni da pascolo Almon con i suoi terreni da pascolo: quattro città.

Anathoth with its suburbs, and Almon with its suburbs: four cities.

19 I l totale delle città dei sacerdoti figli di Aaronne era di tredici città con i loro terreni da pascolo.

All these cities of the priests, the sons of Aaron, are thirteen cities with their suburbs.

20 A lle famiglie dei figli di Kehath, cioè al resto dei Leviti, figli di Kehath, toccarono delle città prese dalla tribú di Efraim.

But the families of the sons of Kohath, Levites, those who remained of the sons of Kohath, received cities by lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.

21 F u loro data Sichem (come città di rifugio per l'omicida) con i suoi terreni da pascolo nella regione montuosa di Efraim, Ghezer con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

For they gave them Shechem with its suburbs in the mountain of Ephraim, to be a city of refuge for manslayers, and Gezer with its suburbs,

22 K ibtsaim con i suoi terreni da pascolo e Beth-Horon con i suoi terreni da pascolo: quattro città.

Kibzaim with its suburbs, Bethhoron with its suburbs: four cities.

23 D alla tribú di Dan: Eltekeh con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Ghibbethon con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with its suburbs, Gibbethon with its suburbs,

24 A ijalon con i suoi terreni da pascolo Gath-Rimmon con i suoi terreni da pascolo: quattro città.

Aijalon with its suburbs, Gathrimmon with its suburbs: four cities.

25 D alla mezza tribú di Manasse: Taanak, con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Gath-Rimmon con i suoi terreni da pascolo: due città.

And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with its suburbs and Gathrimmon with its suburbs: two cities.

26 T utte queste dieci città con i loro terreni da pascolo toccarono alle famiglie degli altri figli di Kehath.

All the cities were ten with their suburbs for the remaining families of the sons of Kohath.

27 A i figli di Ghershon, appartenenti alle famiglie dei Leviti, diedero, prendendole dalla mezza tribú di Manasse, Golan in Bashan (come città di rifugio per l'omicida), con i suoi terreni da pascolo e Beeshterah con i suoi terreni da pascolo: due città;

And unto the sons of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the other half tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, to be a city of refuge for manslayers, and Beeshterah with its suburbs: two cities.

28 d alla tribú d'Issacar, Kiscion con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Daberath con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon with its suburbs, Dabareh with its suburbs,

29 J aimuth con i suoi terreni da pascolo, En-Gannim con i suoi terreni da pascolo: quattro città;

Jarmuth with its suburbs, Engannim with its suburbs: four cities.

30 d alla tribú di Ascer, Mishal con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Abdon con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its suburbs, Abdon with its suburbs,

31 H elkath con i suoi terreni da pascolo e Rehob con i suoi terreni da pascolo: quattro città;

Helkath with its suburbs, and Rehob with its suburbs: four cities.

32 e dalla tribú di Neftali, Kadesh in Galilea (come città di rifugio per l'omicida), con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Hammoth Dor con i suoi terreni da pascolo, e Kartan con i suoi terreni da pascolo: tre cittá.

And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its suburbs, to be a city of refuge for manslayers, and Hammothdor with its suburbs and Kartan with its suburbs: three cities.

33 I l totale delle cittá dei Ghershoniti, secondo le loro famiglie era di tredici città con i loro terreni da pascolo.

All the cities of those of Gershon according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.

34 A lle famiglie dei figli di Merari, cioè al resto dei Leviti diedero, prendendole dalla tribú di Zabulon, Joneam con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Kartah con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

And unto the families of the sons of Merari, Levites that remained, out of the tribe of Zebulun they gave them, Jokneam with its suburbs and Kartah with its suburbs,

35 D imnah con i suoi terreni da pascolo e Nahalal con i suoi terreni da pascolo: quattro città;

Dimnah with its suburbs, Nahalal with its suburbs: four cities.

36 d alla tribú di Ruben, Betser con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Jahtsah con i suoi terreni da pascolo,

And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer and Jahazah,

37 K edemoth con suoi terreni da pascolo e Mefaath con i suoi terreni da pascolo: quattro città;

Kedemoth, and Mephaath: four cities.

38 e dalla tribú di Gad, Ramoth in Galaad (come città di rifugio per l'omicida), con i suoi terreni da pascolo, Mahanaim con i suo terreni da pascolo,

And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its suburbs, to be a city of refuge for manslayers; and Mahanaim with its suburbs,

39 H eshbon con i suoi terreni da pascolo e Jazer con i suoi terreni da pascolo: in tutto quattro città.

Heshbon with its suburbs, Jazer with its suburbs; four cities in all.

40 I l totale delle città date in sorte ai figli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie che formavano il resto delle famiglie dei Leviti, era di dodici città.

So all the cities for the sons of Merari by their families, who remained of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.

41 I l totale delle città dei Leviti in mezzo a possedimenti dei figli d'Israele era di quarantotto città con i loro terreni da pascolo.

All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the sons of Israel were forty-eight cities with their suburbs.

42 C iascuna di queste città aveva suoi terreni da pascolo tutt'intorno; così era di tutte queste città.

Each one of these cities were separated with their suburbs round about them; thus were all these cities.

43 C osì l'Eterno diede a Israele tutto il paese che aveva giurato di dare ai loro padri, e i figli d'Israele ne presero possesso e vi abitarono.

¶ Thus the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it and dwelt therein.

44 L 'Eterno diede loro riposo tutt'intorno, come aveva giurato ai loro padri; nessuno di tutti i loro nemici potè loro resistere; l'Eterno diede tutti i loro nemici nelle loro mani.

And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he had sworn unto their fathers; and none of their enemies could stand before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hands.

45 N on cadde a terra una sola di tutte le buone parole che l'Eterno aveva detto alla casa d'Israele; si avverarono tutte quante.

There failed not a word of all the good things which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all of it came to pass.
