1 L os jefes de las familias levitas fueron a hablar con el sacerdote Eleazar, y con Josué hijo de Nun y los jefes de las tribus de Israel,

¶ Then the heads of the fathers of the Levites came near unto Eleazar the priest and unto Joshua, the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel;

2 l os cuales estaban en Silo, en la tierra de Canaán, y les dijeron: «El Señor le ordenó a Moisés que nos dieran ciudades donde pudiéramos habitar, con ejidos para nuestros ganados.»

and they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in with the suburbs thereof for our beasts.

3 E ntonces de su propia herencia el pueblo de Israel les dio a los levitas ciudades con sus ejidos, porque el Señor se lo había prometido.

Then the sons of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their possessions, according to the word of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs.

4 E l primer sorteo fue para las familias de los coatitas, que eran descendientes del sacerdote Aarón y también levitas. Ellos recibieron ciudades de las tribus de Judá, de Simeón y de Benjamín; en total, trece ciudades.

And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites; and the sons of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah and out of the tribe of Simeon and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.

5 A los otros hijos de Coat les tocaron por sorteo diez ciudades de las tribus de Efraín, de Dan y de la media tribu de Manasés.

And the rest of the sons of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim and out of the tribe of Dan and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

6 L os hijos de Gersón recibieron por sorteo trece ciudades de las tribus de Isacar, de Aser, de Neftalí y de la media tribu de Manasés que se había quedado en Basán.

And the sons of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar and out of the tribe of Asher and out of the tribe of Naphtali and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

7 L os hijos de Merari recibieron doce ciudades de las tribus de Rubén, de Gad y de Zabulón, según el número de sus familias.

The sons of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of Reuben and out of the tribe of Gad and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

8 L os hijos de Israel les dieron a los levitas, por sorteo, estas ciudades con sus ejidos, tal y como el Señor se lo ordenó a Moisés.

Thus the sons of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the LORD had commanded by the hand of Moses.

9 L as tribus de los descendientes de Judá y de Simeón cedieron las ciudades que ya han sido mencionadas,

¶ And they gave out of the tribe of the sons of Judah and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon these cities which are here mentioned by name;

10 y que las familias de Coat, hijos de Aarón, recibieron de los hijos de Leví, porque ellos fueron los primeros en el sorteo.

and the first lot was of the sons of Aaron, of the family of Kohath, of the sons of Levi;

11 E n el monte de Judá les dieron Hebrón, que era Quiriat Arbá, la tierra del gigante Anac, con los ejidos que la rodeaban;

and they gave them the city of Arba of the father of Anak, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah, with its suburbs round about.

12 p ero a Caleb hijo de Yefune le dieron el campo de la ciudad y sus aldeas.

But the fields of the city and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

13 A los hijos del sacerdote Aarón les dieron Hebrón con sus ejidos, como ciudad de refugio para los homicidas, y además Libna y sus ejidos,

Thus they gave to the sons of Aaron the priest Hebron with its suburbs, to be a city of refuge for manslayers and Libnah with its suburbs

14 J atir y sus ejidos, Estemoa y sus ejidos,

and Jattir with its suburbs and Eshtemoa with its suburbs

15 H olón y sus ejidos, Debir y sus ejidos,

and Holon with its suburbs and Debir with its suburbs

16 A yin y sus ejidos, Yutá y sus ejidos, y Bet Semes y sus ejidos; es decir, nueve ciudades para estas dos tribus.

and Ain with its suburbs and Juttah with its suburbs and Bethshemesh with its suburbs: nine cities out of those two tribes.

17 D e la tribu de Benjamín recibieron Gabaón y Geba, con sus ejidos;

And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its suburbs, Geba with its suburbs,

18 A natot y Almón con sus ejidos; cuatro ciudades.

Anathoth with its suburbs, and Almon with its suburbs: four cities.

19 E n total, trece ciudades y sus ejidos fueron para los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón.

All these cities of the priests, the sons of Aaron, are thirteen cities with their suburbs.

20 L os levitas que aun quedaban, y que pertenecían a las familias de los hijos de Coat, recibieron por sorteo cuatro ciudades de la tribu de Efraín.

But the families of the sons of Kohath, Levites, those who remained of the sons of Kohath, received cities by lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.

21 E n el monte de Efraín les dieron Siquén, que era una ciudad de refugio para los homicidas, con sus ejidos, y además Guézer,

For they gave them Shechem with its suburbs in the mountain of Ephraim, to be a city of refuge for manslayers, and Gezer with its suburbs,

22 Q uibsayin y Bet Jorón con sus ejidos.

Kibzaim with its suburbs, Bethhoron with its suburbs: four cities.

23 D e la tribu de Dan, recibieron cuatro ciudades con sus ejidos: Elteque, Gibetón,

And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with its suburbs, Gibbethon with its suburbs,

24 A yalón y Gat Rimón.

Aijalon with its suburbs, Gathrimmon with its suburbs: four cities.

25 D e la media tribu de Manasés recibieron dos ciudades con sus ejidos: Tanac y Gat Rimón.

And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with its suburbs and Gathrimmon with its suburbs: two cities.

26 L as ciudades que recibió el resto de las familias de los hijos de Coat fueron diez, con sus ejidos.

All the cities were ten with their suburbs for the remaining families of the sons of Kohath.

27 D e la media tribu de Manasés los hijos de Gersón, de las familias levitas, recibieron dos ciudades con sus ejidos: Golán en Basán, ciudad de refugio para los homicidas; y Besterá con sus ejidos.

And unto the sons of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the other half tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, to be a city of refuge for manslayers, and Beeshterah with its suburbs: two cities.

And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its suburbs, Abdon with its suburbs,

Helkath with its suburbs, and Rehob with its suburbs: four cities.

32 D e la tribu de Neftalí, recibieron tres ciudades con sus ejidos: Cedes en Galilea, que era una ciudad de refugio para los homicidas, Jamot Dor y Cartán.

And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its suburbs, to be a city of refuge for manslayers, and Hammothdor with its suburbs and Kartan with its suburbs: three cities.

33 E n total, las ciudades que recibieron los gersonitas, con sus ejidos y según el número de sus familias, fueron trece.

All the cities of those of Gershon according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.

34 L os levitas que quedaban de las familias de los hijos de Merari recibieron de la tribu de Zabulón cuatro ciudades con sus ejidos: Jocneán, Carta,

And unto the families of the sons of Merari, Levites that remained, out of the tribe of Zebulun they gave them, Jokneam with its suburbs and Kartah with its suburbs,

Dimnah with its suburbs, Nahalal with its suburbs: four cities.

36 D e la tribu de Rubén recibieron cuatro ciudades con sus ejidos: Beser, Yahás,

And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer and Jahazah,

Kedemoth, and Mephaath: four cities.

38 D e la tribu de Gad, recibieron cuatro ciudades con sus ejidos: Ramot de Galaad, que era una ciudad de refugio para los homicidas, Majanayin,

And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its suburbs, to be a city of refuge for manslayers; and Mahanaim with its suburbs,

39 J esbón y Jazer.

Heshbon with its suburbs, Jazer with its suburbs; four cities in all.

40 E n total, las ciudades con sus ejidos que les tocaron por sorteo a los hijos de Merari, es decir, a los levitas que quedaban, según el número de sus familias, fueron doce.

So all the cities for the sons of Merari by their families, who remained of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.

41 E n total, las ciudades con sus ejidos que recibieron los levitas de entre las posesiones del pueblo de Israel, fueron cuarenta y ocho.

All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the sons of Israel were forty-eight cities with their suburbs.

42 E stas ciudades estaban distantes entre sí, y todas estaban rodeadas de sus ejidos. Israel ocupa la tierra

Each one of these cities were separated with their suburbs round about them; thus were all these cities.

43 A sí fue como el Señor dio a Israel toda la tierra que había jurado a sus padres que les daría, y de la cual tomaron en posesión para habitarla.

¶ Thus the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it and dwelt therein.

44 Y el Señor les dio reposo, conforme a todo lo que les había prometido a sus padres. Ninguno de sus enemigos pudo presentarles batalla, porque el Señor los había vencido.

And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he had sworn unto their fathers; and none of their enemies could stand before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hands.

45 N o faltó una sola de todas las promesas que el Señor le había hecho a la casa de Israel. Todas ellas se cumplieron.

There failed not a word of all the good things which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all of it came to pass.
