1 ¡ Aleluya! ¡Cuán bueno es cantar salmos a nuestro Dios! ¡Cuán grato y hermoso es alabarlo!

¶ Halelu-JAH: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for praise is pleasant and beautiful.

2 E l Señor reconstruye a Jerusalén, y hace volver a los israelitas desterrados.

The LORD, he who builds up Jerusalem; shall gather together the outcasts of Israel.

3 E l Señor reanima a los descorazonados, y sana sus heridas.

He heals the broken hearted, and he binds up their wounds.

4 E l Señor creó todas la estrellas del cielo, y a cada una le puso nombre.

He counts the number of the stars and calls them all by their names.

5 N uestro Señor es grande y poderoso, y su sabiduría no tiene límite.

Great is our Lord and of great power; his intelligence is infinite.

6 E l Señor exalta a los humildes, y humilla hasta el polvo a los malvados.

The LORD lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked down to the earth.

7 ¡ Cantemos alabanzas al Señor! ¡Cantemos salmos a nuestro Dios al son del arpa!

Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

8 E l Señor cubre de nubes los cielos, y hace que llueva sobre la tierra; El Señor hace crecer la hierba de los montes;

Who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares the rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.

9 d a de comer a los ganados, y también a los polluelos de los cuervos, cuando piden.

He who gives the beast his food and to the sons of the ravens which cry unto him.

10 E l Señor no se deleita en los caballos briosos, ni se complace en la agilidad de los jinetes;

He does not delight in the strength of the horse; nor does he take pleasure in the legs of a man.

11 E l Señor se complace en los que le honran, y en los que confían en su misericordia.

The LORD takes pleasure in those that fear him, in those that wait upon his mercy.

12 J erusalén, ¡alaba al Señor! Sión, ¡alaba a tu Dios!

¶ Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

13 E l Señor refuerza los cerrojos de tus puertas, y bendice a los que habitan dentro de tus muros.

For he has strengthened the bars of thy gates; he has blessed thy sons within thee.

14 E l Señor mantiene en paz tus fronteras, y te sacia con lo mejor del trigo.

He who makes peace to be thy borders shall fill thee with the finest of the wheat.

15 E l Señor envía su palabra a la tierra, y sus órdenes se cumplen de inmediato.

He sends forth his word upon earth; his word runs very swiftly.

16 C ae la nieve como copos de lana, y la escarcha se esparce como ceniza.

He who gives snow like wool scatters the hoarfrost like ashes.

17 D eja caer las piedrecillas de granizo; y a causa del frío todo se congela.

He casts forth his ice like morsels; who can stand before his cold?

18 P ero da otra orden, y el hielo se derrite; sopla el viento, y las aguas vuelven a correr.

He shall send forth his word and melt them; his wind shall blow, and the waters shall flow.

19 E l Señor comunicó a Jacob, que es Israel, sus estatutos y sus sentencias.

He declares his words unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

20 N o hizo lo mismo con ninguna otra nación; nadie más conoció sus mandamientos. ¡Aleluya!

He has not dealt so with the other nations, which have not known his judgments. Halelu-JAH.
